Pros: Location is great, just outside the beach and overlooking the sea. Good place to see the aurora too.
Cons: The cabin is a bit too small. The shower has no curtains so the whole bathroom would be wet after shower.
Pros: The beach is in front of the cabin and behind it - the mountains - perfect place to feel and enjoy the Lofoten atmosphere. Camping is easy to find and all the necessary things for living are there (kitchen supplies, hair-dryer).
Cons: Hot water runs out pretty fast. Have to be careful and smart with it :)
Pros: Nice and cosy huts next to the beach
Pros: Excellent landlord, nice staff, excellent view of sunset and beach, nice kitchen and accessories, near to the supermarket which is open till 23.00
Cons: A bit bad smell in the bathroom
Pros: Nice view. Near the beach.
Cons: No hot tape water after 00:00. Not clean enough.
Pros: Small but cozy an comfortable cabin, great location for exploiting the Lofoten
Cons: Kitchen could be a bit better equipped, no microwave and no knife to clean vegetables
Pros: Nice location and good restaurant for dinner (Steak was great!).
Cons: Shower can be messy because water can go everywhere.
Pros: Absolutely the best stay in our trip through Lofoten islands. Beautiful surrounding, charming, little cottage almost on the beach. Really extraordinary ambience. Definitely You should visit this place.
Pros: Unexpectedly, we were alloted with a house flat instead of a cabin. Still close to beach with a wonderful living room and spacious kitchen. Spectacular view of beach and midnight sun.
Pros: Perfect location for midnight sun observation. Amaizing vew on the sea and the white sand beach. There are all you need fot rest. It is warm and cozy in the house. You can eat in a good local restaurant or cook yourself. A supermarket is 200 meters away in Ramberg. Convenient place to start a few hikes.
With the dramatic landscape of Lofoten on its doorstep, this is the perfect hotel if you want to explore the wilderness of Lofoten. Our hotel is centrally located in the town of Leknes.
Pros: Very Good location, great breakfast, helpful staff and good the restaurant is option for dinner.
Cons: A little bit old and very crowded. Unfortunatly great for groups, so you can wake up for leaving asian group at 6 am:) But totally we like this hotel and I recommend it
Cons: Room temperature (no control, it was very warm), and no extra pillows.
Pros: - Hotel is really modern and clean - Great facilities - Good breakfast
Cons: - Staff wasn’t very friendly and I had to wait a long time before check-in and check-out - Reception desk is located weirdly. Even one person that is checking in blocks the route to some rooms and restaurant - A lot of noise is coming from restaurant and staff areas to rooms that are located on the first floor near the reception
Pros: Very basic Scandic hotel. Nice room, ok location.
Pros: Location. Cleaniness comfortable
Pros: Comfy beds. Central location (but no Lofoten- nature around). Free parking. Hassle- free check- in and -out.
Cons: Breakfast room on both mornings unfortunately very crowded and unpleasantly busy. Staff not overly attentive. The cosy "Now enjoy your fabulous breakfast" - feeling never developed, more like "Get it done, and evacuate your table for the next waiting guests ASAP". What a pity. A hotel without any facilities. No sauna, no gym. Astonishing for the price they ask.
Pros: Spent two nights with our dog this dogfriendly place. The breakfast was versatile and delicious. Lots of parking area, but the hotel was very popular.
Cons: The room was pretty and new but quite dirty. Near of the city center but there was like nothing to see.
Pros: Great breakfast, with a good selection of fresh bread and generally plenty of things to choose from.
Cons: Reception staff was not too helpful when asked about possible outdoor activities in Leknes' surroundings.
Pros: Comfortable and clean small hotel with nice little restaurant We stayed one night
Cons: No elevator
With a stay at Lydersen Rorbuer in Flakstad, you'll be near the beach, and 13.1 mi (21.1 km) from Dagmar's Museum of Dolls and Toys and 20.3 mi (32.7 km) from Stockfish Museum. Featured amenities include multilingual staff, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Comfortable beds
Cons: This place is really not worth the money!! Much nicer and cheaper other spots in Lofoten (Kabelvåg Feriehus, Salteriet hostel) The staff was extremely unfriendly, we were first welcomed by an older and unfriendly man without any explanations. He just handed us a pair of sheets. House rules stated silence by 22h (walls are truly paper thin, so you can hear everything) and when a Spanish group of 12 people loudly started cooking next to our room between 23-1 am, Bina, the hostel owner, came in and said “well, they need to eat” - without any question for them to keep quiet, keep it short, etc. Also, there are only 2 showers for about 25 people - so expect long waiting times.
Pros: simply perfect :)
Cons: there is nothing to wrrite about bad things
Pros: The beds were very comfortable!! The staff very friendly. Great for families.
Pros: Good location: by bicicle or car you could reach Kvalvika beach or Fredvang within few minutes .Kitchen has all you need.
Cons: Bad sound isolation .Shower with broken doors.
Pros: The accomodation was perfect to explore the area. Thx for the free coffee :)
Pros: - the bed and the sheets were really comfortable and clean. - the view from the deck was nice.. - the place is close to Kvalvika beach and Ryten mountain.
Cons: Okay I have practically never written a bad review so it’s quite difficult. First of all when we came to check in to Lydersen they didn’t find our reservation and there was not a nice atmosphere when we tried to solve the problem. We had booked and paid in advance.. When finally they found our reservation we were set up in a quite nice separate building (with a room for 2 and a room for 3) and we were told that no other guests would arrive there. We went on a hike for 3 hours and when we came back the manager caught up with us quite angrily accusing as for having been in ”the wrong room” and she said that she tried to call us but no calls were ever maid. The personnel of Lydersen had moved our belongings from our room to a different room in the main building without asking us? That took all feeling of being safe or welcomed right out the window. What if some belongings had dissapeared who would have been responsable? Happily that wasn’t the case but still. The main issues with Lydersen in addition of the story I’ve just told are the following: - the main building is really outdated and unfunctional. There are many rooms but only 2 toilets WITHOUT SINKS and 3 showers. If you wanted to wash your hands after going to the toilet you had to queu in for the showers.. - the lock on our door didn’t work properly and we had to wonder if we would be locked in every time we closed our door.. - all in all the atmosphere and decoration doesn’t give you the feeling that you’re on a holiday. Its quite sad because after many nights spent in a tent we thought that a couple of nights relaxing in a nice place would give us the energy for the second part of our trip. That was definitely NOT the case. - to sum up the thing is perhaps this: we paid 235e for 2 nights/2 person - definitely not worth for money.
Pros: Excellent location in Lofoten area. Very close to great trails, also to Kvalvika beach. Very good breakfast, restaurant till 10pm, comfortable beds, parking space... 30 mins driving to Å
Cons: It's basic accommodation and you can hear others walking in the corridor. But your are not there on such place to stay in the room ;-) everybody is there just to rest and sleep, so no problem
Pros: Nice large kitchen, great beds and nice terrace if the weather is right
Cons: Everything was very worn. Missed zink in bathroom and the token-shower felt a bit strange
Pros: Great stuff, very nice house (with its own history) and location, cozy room and beautiful view from the window. I’ve had my own kitchen and couch in the room.
Cons: Note that you have to walk 30-40 minutes from the bus stop (during summer) if travel by public transport. Nearest grocery store is in Ramberg which is 6km from Fredvang.
Situated in Ramberg in the Nordland region, Kafe Friisgarden features accommodation with free WiFi. Guests at the bed and breakfast can enjoy a buffet breakfast. The nearest airport is Leknes Airport, 32 km from Kafe Friisgarden.
Pros: perfect location in Lofoten, friendly staff, good breakfast, nice house
Cons: shared bathroom
Cons: Stuff wasn't kindly
Pros: Location on E10
Cons: The whole property was a mess. The guy in charge was also not very friendly and helpfull.
Pros: The location is great.
Cons: There was cooking smell around the room,
Pros: the old wooden building
Pros: The hospitality of the owner, food is tasty. The location is perfect, grocery shop is just opposite, in between Leknes and Reine so you don't have to drive too long to visit the attractions. Within 10mins drive, there is a public toilet by the sea on E10 route which might be a good place you to see northern light.
Cons: The room has oil smell due to the cafe kitchen downstairs. But it is acceptable.
Pros: Tha place was very cozy, exactly like the pictures! The host was very nice and kind, and also suggested us some nice spots along the road to our destination!
Pros: The guesthouse is located in an old building, charming and cozy. You have to mind your head, since doors are small and the room's ceilings are oblique (the rooms are under the roof). The café downstairs offers a choice of local food.
Cons: The presence of the café is a blessing (if you don't want to drive out looking for a restaurant) and a curse because of the smell of food that lingers in the rooms (at least it did in ours). There is only one bathroom for three rooms that can accommodate up to ten persons. This might lead to some queue in front of it. Breakfast is served from 08:30 and is quite simple, but OK. However, you have the impression that you don't get much for the price you pay, even for being on the Lofoten in Summer.
Pros: The room was big (4 beds) and the breakfast was good.
Cons: The house has three rooms (two of them having 4 beds) all sharing the same bathroom with one toilet and one shower. We have stayed one night and only two of the rooms were occupied, but it was quite awkward to queue at the toilet door. The house looks antique, which is nice, but the doors are creaky and very low and you cannot escape without bumping your head quite hard. Overall, the price for one room is too high.
Cons: Uncomfortable beds
