Very kind owner. Everything you need is present: pots and pans, towels, coffee and tea, spices for cooking, soap and shampoo etc.
For one night without breakfast relatively expensive compared to other accommodations in the area.
Frank gave us a lovely welcome and made sure we had all we needed. Room is basic but comfortable and functional. Shower was spotless and very relaxing after a long day's walking. There is a pub/restaurant just across the road, and there are cooking facilities in the room (hub, microwave, kettle). Perfect for a walking/outdoor holiday!
Beautiful views, lovely accommodation and friendly staff
Location, on the Wicklow Way. Very clean bathroom, comfortable bed and a small but good kitchen that was exactly I needed. Good view of the rolling hills in front! The receptionist was friendly and gave me some free food.
I wish the bathroom had some hooks to hang clothes and towels. I was expecting (according to the Wicklow Way official website) that the lodge will provide free pick up and drop off to do my Wicklow Way walking. But it was not the case... They do NOT provide transport at all. I had to call very expensive taxis instead. So disappointed, I had to give up my second paid night and left for another accommodation which provides transportation! They do not provide breakfast either, and there is no grocery store nearby! I guess if you are driving yourself and well-prepared for your cooking ingredients, then this is the place for you.
The room was clean. The lodge pub was very convenient and the food was good. Overall, a very nice stay.
