We spent just one night here at the end of our holiday on the way back to Cape Town. The owner was very welcoming to us and all the staff we met were very helpful. There is a lovely garden and pool area. Our accommodation was in one of the cottages which was spacious and comfortable. The accommodation has been recently renovated to a high standard. We had a continental breakfast on the patio, but other breakfast options were available. There is no restaurant open in the evening within walking distance - the owner offered to cook something for us (he really prefers people to give him notice if this is required), but we drove to a restaurant called Bourbon Street in the town, which had a good menu. Staff at green Olive had recommended it. There is an 'Honesty bar' at the property so after our meal we enjoyed some wine on the terrace.
I didn't realise that you had to request a hairdryer!
A simple nostalgic guest house with a great choice of local restaurants
It is slightly dates but made up for by spaciousness.
