Customer service was great from the front desk to the breakfast people. Our room was clean and comfortable. New GM was there to help the guest and gave us some information on the hotel history. Decor is not cookie cutter and interesting to look around. Good breakfast.
A hotel map would be nice as you have to wander to find the pool and bar but it was cool looking at all the little special decor items Needs some updating and deep cleaning. Doors and carpet edges showing lack of care.
I booked this hotel online using the pictures they showed of the property as the reason for booking. I was surprised when my wife and daughter arrived at the hotel and were afraid to exit the car to go in. They eventually did go inside and there were HOLES in the ceiling going down the hallway and several rooms were BOARDED up. They looked at the room and decided to go somewhere else. I called to cancel the reservation but they would NOT cancel the first night. They did refund the other 2 nights that I had paid. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. It is nasty and smells and they will not give you money back once you've booked. Totally disgusted!
The views of the river are beautiful. Beautiful old woodwork in the reception area.
Walking in, you can tell this resort was once something special but it hasn't been kept up. There is a strange juxtaposition of old and classy with new and tacky. The couches in both our rooms had holes and the stuffing was hanging out. The wallpaper was peeling off the walls. Other furniture as mismatched and old. They seem to be very short staffed so service was lacking. Breakfast food, though acceptable tasting, was empty more often than full.
We enjoyed our stay very much , breakfast was very good .
Everything was wonderful, very courteous staff, breakfast was wonderful. The location is Awesome!!
Dirty, foul smelling, in poor repair, seemed dangerous, badly in need of updating, river view obstructed, smelly, smelly, smelly, it was so bad that I called the booking company immediately upon entering my room to help me find a new hotel.
The front desk was super in trying to alleviate all the problems we encounter upon arrival and in the next 2 hours.
At one point in time this hotel was probably a wonderful hotel. It's past its prime now.
the view and the food.
