Excellent location to discover Cabo do Vicente, Serra do Monchique and the surrounding beaches; nice swimming pool and available staff Price per night was a little bit too expensive for low season (end of October)
The location and the facilities, because it was an apartment. The bar/coffee was not always open.
Very friendly staff, lovely pool and excellent dinner.I liked the open field next door and the views. The blank room in the appartment for 4/6 persons could usefully be made into an additional wc/shower room/en suite.
the pool area - full stop. we asked for a quiet room. it was noisy. the room was not ready upon arrival at due time - 1.30 hours late! no refund!the breakfast was plastic ham and cheese and fermenting fruit.insufficient sun beds. no beach towels. no double beds in the hotel - all twin.
helpfull staff no restaurant
It was our 2nd time at this hotel and it is exactly the same... a wanna be that always looks that will never be finished. The smell of cigarets was unbearable is all the room, during all the stay.It was impregnated everywere.
The people were friendly and it was a lovely quite hotel. You do need transport though to benefit from the excellent beaches and surrounding countryside...a very pleasent place to stay
Fantastic rooms, very cosy and stylish, hotel was opened in June 2010; extremely nice and helpful employees; small pool, fantastic breakfast location of the Casas do Moinho is a little bit off the track, but if you are looking for deserted beaches and a place where the clock ticks slower than somewhere else this is the place to be
Casas do Moinho must be one of the most friendly hotels we have stayed. The staff were extremely helpful and it is beautifully located to explore the Costa Vicentina.
Friendly, owners could not do enough for you, relaxed, stylish modern room, lovely location with fabulous views, secure, family oriented, lovely pool, close (5 mins drive) to a fantastic beach for surfing or swimming (when safe). A bit noisy at night as our bedroom was on a busy street with passing traffic very close to our heads. Not recommended for elderly or disabled visitors due to location at the top of very steep hills and all facilities for dinner involved walking down and then back up the hills or driving. No air conditioning.
the design of the room in a typical portugees village is really nice. the break fast is huge; well furnished, home made, with fresh products. from the swimming pool there is a nice view on the mountain and the mile.
A beautiful place in a relaxed rural setting within easy reach of many beautiful beaches. The owners Alvaro, Sophia and their children could not do more to make us feel welcome. The rooms are beautifully appointed and self contained. The place is ideal for families and children. If you want to surf there are boards and good advice available. One of the best places we've stayed. It was very nice to be able to support such a lovely family run business. We will definetly be returning here!
