Using it as a base to attend Ironman Austria in Klagenfurt which is only 20 mins away by road. Very good choice of restaurants and the hotel's was one of the best. Very clean, very polite and helpful staff Car park at the rear is open to both hotel guests and the public which, during the summer with the need to keep windows open, made it noisy at times especially at night for rooms facing the car park.

We stayed a week and found everyone extremely friendly and the food was excellent. Our room was very comfortable with a lovely balcony. The dailly menu and hotel newspaper were specially printed in English for us. We really enjoyed our stay. There was a bit of a climb up a hill from the lake which I found slightly difficult as I suffer from Asthma.

Breakfast was ok. Swimming pool is nice. We arrived at 10pm, and we had warned them we would be arriving late, but there was no one at the reception desk. We spent 30 mins wandering the hotel looking for someone who could help us, meanwhile our baby was crying and just wanted to be inside the room. Finally in the kitchen I found a woman who might be able to help. However she kept saying 'No!' and 'Impossible!' when I tried to explain that we had a reservation. The room was tiny for 3 people and not at all like the one on the website! Beware! As well our room was located on top of the social room, which in the evenings, turns into a dance hall for local oldies trying out salsa and western dancing moves - very loud and not very good for a couple with a young baby. No bathtub.
