It is a nice, family-run hotel, excellent spa facilities and huge comfortable rooms. The problem is that the staff hardly speak English or want to make an effort when you ask. luckily I still remeber a bit of German from school but some of the staff could be a bit friendlier and add a smile on the face
wellness area unfriendlyness of staff, breakfast
Nice hotel in the middle of Ruhpolding. Nothing really wrong with the hotel. The male receptionist who checked us in after midnight was very good. Has a smoking bar which is not at all pleasant to be around. Charge for the internet....why?
This was our second stay at this traditional Bavarian hotel which has been run by the same family for over 150 years. A very impressive spa has been recently added to the swimming pool and their 'Zen' garden is well laid out. Food and service is excellent. Alps, skiing, golf etc all near and local railway station serves Salzburg and Munich. Very good value for money overall.
The Helpfuln Staff No Shower in room-just a bath
it is placed in a beautiful resort i think that the price for child(6y) breakfast was too much (12eur) .It could be half price because he didn't eat almost nothing
Friendly staff, and very easy. Staff accomodated all our requests.
Morning noise from birds in the hotel hall. Not so hard but ...
Very pleasant stay in a lovely location. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Fod was very good. Bedrooms were very warm at night and noisy due to room location, - room faced onto street.
Friendly staff who made me feel very welcome.
We have 1 child and we loved the fact that we could sit and relax after a beautiful meal while our child played in the extensive gardens & play park beside us and within our view. The Food was excellent and also catered very well for children. The Staff were very friendly. The weather was very hot and the rooms were very warm.
Good bed and good breakfast-just what´s needed on a business trip. The lift was a little tired!
friendly, personal service made the saty a real pleasure and very relaxing too. Sitting in the garden, surrounded by mountains, enjoying a coffee was a real delight. The hotel is excellently located too and whilst it is quiet and peaceful one is centrally located for the town and its facilities. Couldn't be faulted
Good room, excellent service, great food. The owners of the hotel made this a very enjoyable stay for this. We spent hours talking to Marcus, a man with a great sense of humour and a great character. Would go back again.
Everything. A fantastically friendly landlord and landlady who were fun and a great help, super food, lovely rooms, wonderful location and easy parking. Highly recommend this hotel and its owners. No
The staff were very friendly and helpful, the meals were excellent and the situation was perfect. Nothing
The weather. We had stayed here many times before. We had booked in on the day the restaurant was closed therefore the reception clossed at 8.00pm. Went to breakfast the next morning we were not on thee lit and such a fuss was made, and we were made to feel like thatt we were trying to get something for nothing. And the breakfast was nothing to write home about.
flexibility in chefs program and careness for the guests
Clean and traditional Housekeeping and maintenance staff ignored do not disturb signs on a daily basis. Very unsettling!
The room was very nice. The "free" extra parking and tourist card was unexpected, but great.
In the main the staff were very friendly - I was only disappointed with the attitude of one of the members of staff - a waiter who served breakfast - unfortunately he found it difficult to even respond to a smile. See above
huge comfortable room bar closed all of one day
Our room was very clean and comfortable. The bedding and the room was warm. The staff made us feel welcome. No.
The two ladies were very sweet and attentive to us. They're complimentary breakfast was very large and good. I highly recommend this hotel. You could hear outside into the hallway really clearly. The doors needs to be more sound proof.
This was a small hotel, but extremely nicely put together. Almost like a bed and breakfast. Meticulously clean. Conveniently situated near, but in the middle of Ruhpolding. Very nice breakfast spread included in stay.
The place was really authentic and cute. The atmosphere was friendly, familiar and very Bavarian. The landscape is beautiful and the city is historically.
The building (typical alpine house) & the natural environment.
Very kind people that have been very helpful. The house is very nice, very clean and the service is excellent. The house is situated in a beautifull surrounding. We were lucky to have lots of snow!
The price that I have bocked is smaller that the price I have to pay in the hotel. In confirmation for reservation was publish that breacfast will be included in the price of room but reality I have to pay separatly the breacfast. Wuold you please answer me why happen that?
Wij waren afgegaan op de goede recenties die allemaal waar blijken te zijn.
very hospitable, relaxing atmosphere and nice surounding. The owner lady was very attentive and helpful.
Lovable atmosphere, delicious breakfast and very helpful service. It was not so easy as I expected to find the hotel.
I liked the room, the location of the hotel was superb right at the spa, near of the centre of the village Ruhpolding, very relaxed athmosphere
This is a very nice Bavarian accommodation in a beautifully landscaped neighborhood within walking distance to downtown Ruhpolding. The hosts greeted us personally upon arrival (they appeared to be looking out for us) and made us feel immediately welcome. The accommodations and amenities were excellent and we highly recommend a stay here!
We stayed here last year so that says everything! We love Ruhpolding and the position of the hotel is perfect - quiet yet close to the restaurants. Breakfasts are very good and sitting on the balcony overlooking the garden was enjoyable in the afternoons when we'd been out walking all day. Having to pay for the water was a bit of a bummer. It would have been useful had the hotel been part of the Ruhpolding card scheme which would have given us free local transport (and other benefits) as bus travel up into the mountains was expensive. Most hotels, we were told by the Tourist Office, do belong to this scheme.
the friendly owner, she took care of everything. We came with a group of nine people, and 5 children. The breakfast was fine and well served. nothing
