Breakfast was amazing and staff were wonderful. The only tiny fault was that my room was a little chilly although the duvet was fab and warm.
The room nicely furnished and bed was very comfortable.
The staff were very friendly. THE FOOD!! OMG...was fantastic ! The menu is not vast but the choice is varied non the less. The bravette steak was the best steak that I have ever tasted. My husband had the Hake which he loved. The crumble !! Delicious !! Breakfast menu is extensive. A very relaxed atmosphere. Would stay again but not in room 10.
We had Room 10...it was very tastfully decorated. Spotlessly clean. Considering the location it was quiet. The room was quirky...unfortunately the extremely low beam now has part of my husbands scalp on it as a lasting memory of our stay. The room is very small and as a result and with the presence of the beam extremely difficult to move around the room. It was lovely to have a kingsize bed, however we are not used to having feather pillows and duvet, we found the pillows flat and the duvet too warm.
lovely building, excellent location, staff very helpful, polite and friendly. Provided heater when room wasn't quite warm enough for us. Also very dog-friendly.
Shame that pub was very quiet so closed early one evening and we had to go elsewhere to continue our evening.
Clean. Comfy bed. Powerful hot shower. Recently refurbished room. Quiet. Cosy bar. Good value.
