The bed was comfy.
The hotel in general is very dated. It needs improvement in several areas. The avocado bathroom has got to go. The shower was terrible, it dribbled out. The games room was basically a storage area and an eye sore.
Didn't have breakfast. Handy for town. Reception lady was very nice.
Beds were quite hard. Adjacent guests were noisy with doors late at night. Light switches for bedside lights hard to get to.
The self catering suite was clean and tidy
The parking was a slight problem was asked if I wanted to reserve a parking place I said yes which was confirmed but when we got there it was pot luck if we could park. It has put us off staying there again.
If you are used to the mainstream chain style of hotel then I wouldn't say Sarum Hotel is for you. This is a more relaxed style of accommodation with self catered facilities within your room. Kind of hostel feel! Breakfast was available at extra cost but we utilised the numerous eateries around the locality instead. One major tip for Jersey would be use the bus don't need to hire a car! Regular service covering the entire island and all attractions including airport transfer. Maximum journey cost £2.30 one way.
Room we had had recently been refurbished but was very hot room though. Lad on reception very kindly lent us the fan from his own room for the duration. As detailed above, felt a little like a hostel but staff extremely helpful and friendly.
