We were a golf foursome needing a place to stay for the night. This motel met the bill more than we expected for the price. Plus between the continental breakfast & the restaurants nearby, we were well rested & fed.
The bed was comfortable Nearly everything else. Room furnishings were shabby: torn bedspread, stained ceiling, paint overspray on cememnt walkway; discarded vending machines left to rust outside; rusty razor blade outside door of my room. Interior doorknob came off in my hand
Pool closed - permanently. Cigarette holes in the bed spreads. Rooms smell. Less than 100 feet from the highway so you can enjoy the trucks roaring by or applying their airbreaks. gross/stained carpets. Paint chipping. Beds uncomfortable. Pillows flat. Bugs in the bathroom. Good thing it was dark when we got there! Breakfast was ok - waffle maker.
this is a old moteltowel rack off thewall ,the bath tub had no hand rails,no maintainence available, commode pluged up 2 of 5 nites doorkey system didn't work 3 of 5 nites, bed matresses were old and wore out.
The Best Value Inn in Lumberton, NC is not satisfactory. The room was dirty and musty. Towels were small, thin and very rough. A coffee maker was in the room as advertised, but there was no coffee or condiments. The free breakfast consisted of a pack of grocery store donut holes, a loaf of bread, coffee and juice. The counter was dirty and there were toast crumbs all over the plasticware.
Staff friendly. Shower was great!! Room had strong chemical smell. Could not breath or sleep. Got sore throat, headache, and sinus infection from the cleaning chemicals they used which emitted a strong odor even into the next day! Staff started cleaning the room next to mine at 3:00 AM
Cheap but fairly clean. You get what you pay for! Not much of a free breakfast either.
Our room had dead and alive roaches in the dresser and in the bathroom! Our room was suppose to have a mini fridge and microwave in it, it didnt!, the room was damp and musty the sheets seemed to be damp the place was just nasty. To top it off one of the beds were broken. I must say that the staff were very nice
Front desk staff friendly. Clean rooms. Rooms need updating. Room 116. Rooms need painting, and wallpaper need to be redone. Need experienced matience.
WE ALWAYES STAY HERE EVERY YEAR WE COME HERE THEY ARE IMPROVING THEIR PROPERTY. ITS GETTING BETTER AND BETTER.
Location Hotel was advertised with a pool when I arrived the Manager told me that due to state regulations they cannot open the pool anymore because of cost.
I wouldn't even recommend this inn for a poor student who couldn't afford more. The ''breakfast'' was disgusting as described. We didn't even take our shoes off in the room, or take showers, as everything was so nasty and dirty looking.
I was traveling to Florida and stopped at America's Best Value Inn for the night to rest. The front office staff was very alert and friendly even at 3am. I checked in within 5 minutes which was great because i was so tired. The room was clean and the air conditioner was powerful which made my stay very comfortable. The next morning I had a hearty breakfast and was off. Overall I would rate my stay as good and if I travel that route again I would stop there.
I travel through North Carolina every year and stop here for at least 3 -4 days. This year when I stayed with my family we noticed a big improvement from the year before. We were more than comfortable and the pool was great. The location is very central to lots of restaurants and the I-95. Looking forward to stopping in next year. The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly.
Room smelt, was stuffy feeling and even though was non smoking, still smelt like smoke. Hotel was not accommodating with switching to two double beds instead of one king size bed.. Even when there was some available.
The staff was extremely accommodating and friendly!
