The B&B offers a garden and a terrace and bikes can be borrowed for free on site. The soundproofed guest room at Les Ronchettes features parquet flooring and a wardrobe. It includes a private bathroom with a shower, a hairdryer and free toiletries. A continental breakfast with homemade cake, brioche and jam can be enjoyed every morning at Les Ronchettes. The kitchenette is fully equipped with a coffee machine and a toaster. Free private parking is possible on site and restaurants are found within 6 km of the B&B. The property is a 30-minute drive from Cherbourg and 12 km from Sainte-Mère-Eglise.
Pros: This is a beautiful place to stay, the house and grounds are simply stunning. It is very clean, cosy, pin drop quiet and private... perfect. It was a chilly evening so a glowing log burner to welcome us was much appreciated. We had a very early start and the lady was kind enough to still prepare a small fresh and tasty breakfast for us. Thank you for your hospitality and little Jaz is a treasure.
Cons: We did feel that a few little bits were missing really.. Some bottled water and more than 2 coffee pods would have been nice and some creamer of some description for the coffee. Although we probably could have asked for these things it’s not simple to do so without leaving the little house and knocking on the door around the other side of the big house! it was later in the evening so we went without.
Pros: Christina has landscaped this beautiful property with vibrant color: roses, hydrangeas, hollyhocks, and wildflowers. She and her husband go the extra mile to make sure you have what you need. Pascal chauffeured me to a wedding brunch a few miles away so I wouldn’t have to worry how I would get there. Truly delightful people.
Cons: It was ALL lovely: le petit dejeuner on the back porch surrounded by rustling trees and a beautiful garden, with homemade jams, croissant, coffee or tea, and homemade yogurt. Delicious!
Pros: The house is magnificent set in the middle of the Normandy countryside. The room is at the top of a longish flight of stairs which may be of interest to some but was not an issue at all for us. The room was beautiful, tastefully decorated with a massive living area separate from the bedroom. The bathroom is new, spacious and spotless. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. Although in a converted attic and November the room was always warm. The breakfast is severed downstairs in a private dining room and our host made individual warm traditional pastries for each of us. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for accommodation close to Saint Marie Eglise/Landing beaches or en route to Cherbourg.
Cons: Perfect. Although you need to pay with cash, not card, which is important to remember as there are no ATMs nearby.
Pros: This B&B was like a manor house in a spacious, beautiful, country setting. Plenty of parking. WiFi was excellent. Hostess was very accommodating, answer questions about the area, and the history of the house. Hostess recommended and made reservations at a restaurant in St. Mere Eglise. The rooms were immaculate and well appointed. Breakfast was typical French and delicious. Wish we could have extended our stay here.
Cons: Be aware that of the 2 rooms booked, one had a steep spiral staircase. Out of the way location required driving on some narrow country roads but the destination made that insignificant.
The Castle "L＇Isle Marie" offers a pleasant stay in Picauville for those traveling for business or leisure. This property features Free in-room Wi-Fi. This hotel makes a great place to kick back and relax after a long day of sightseeing. According to our trusted guests, the facilities at this hotel are first-rate.
Pros: Location was good - close enough to Cherbourg for us to get there after an evening disembarkation. Beautiful building in very good condition. Lovely couple running it and superb dinner. We were made to feel very welcome.
Pros: We liked everything about this chateau.Room was lovely and spacious.En suite was a good size and shower was very good. The whole of the chateau didn't disappoint and breakfast was very good indeed....including cereals which isn't always the case in European B&B's.It was very peaceful and serene in beautiful surroundings and very near to all the Normandy landings beaches...especially Utah.We would definitely stay here again.
Cons: There was nothing to dislike about this chateau.
Pros: A superb location for either a stop off before or after the Channel crossing or for exploring the WW2 US sites. The Chateau is steeped in history and it is great to get the story both past and present. Most evenings it is possible to have dinner in (alas not our night) and I think this would add to the stay. The property has a large lounge so there is somewhere to relax other than the bedroom.
Cons: The eating choices nearby are not so good so it would have been nice to have ate at the property. That said we were recommended somewhere that was a short drive and quite adequate for our needs.
Pros: Friendly and attentive owners. Homemade breakfast that was delicious
Cons: No bar soap or bodywash
Pros: Very quiet location. Not far from Cherbourg for ferry.
Cons: We stayed in the Manor that was not part of the chateau, although we didn't realise this until we arrived. No food was available on the Sunday to guests we were informed on arrival and the staff didn't seem to know anything. The apartment was shabby and in need of refurbishment, we didn't see the rooms in the Chateau itself. The shower didn't work, the spotlight was hanging out of the ceiling and the bath surround was very grubby.
Pros: Totally awesome place
Cons: I liked wverything
Pros: Loved the chateau and the staff were wonderful 2 young student girls very good and manager and wife were nice
Cons: All good
Pros: The most perfect hosts in Valentina, Nicola. A brilliant period Chateau, furnished with period furniture for guest to enjoy the splendour of staying at these properties. Fantastic peaceful location in the country, easy access to "D Day" Normandy beaches and Museums. Nicola a brilliant cook, and Valentina the most exquisite and professional welcome to the Chateau, we styed at 5 Chateaus across Northern France for this holiday, this was the best.
Cons: We liked everything, only wish we could have stayed longer.
Cons: Needs a bit of window replacing and some clean up on grounds
Pros: Breakfast was excellent, the hosts were very welcoming & informative...very good English spoken.
Cons: The complimentary bottle of wine was not obviously forthcoming on arrival. We were told we should have asked for it.

Pros: Quiet, clean, classic Normand farm, fantastic relaxation atmosphere. Excellent value for money. Definitely a great place to stay when visiting Normandy with family or friends!
Pros: We were a group of 6 cyclists. Melanie was a super host. She made us feel like family from the moment we arrived, showing us around the farm, visiting the new litter of puppies and petting the heavily pregnant mare (has she given birth yet??!). Our rooms were spacious, beautifully furnished and well equipped with tea making facilities - on a tray (always appreciated). Breakfasts were generous, beautifully prepared and served in the large, comfortable dining room, where we lingered over freshly cooked pancakes, freshly baked cake, mixed baskets of bread, homemade preserves and lashings of tea and coffee. We had free run of the property, with secure bike parking in a barn and the opportunity to see sheep being sheared. All in all, it was a delight and a privilege to spend time at Domaine du Haul. Merci Melanie.
Pros: Beautful peaceful location
Pros: Good breakfast with homemade bread and jam. Very nice place located in rural area. Possible to reach interesting turist attractions in one day, eg. D-day beaches and Mont Saint Michel. Good restaurants in 15 - 30 minutes drive. Friendly and helpful hostess.
