Great people. Comfortable stay Small room
Appreciated that it was pet friendly. We ended up not staying because of other circumstances and was very kindly given a partial refund because we didn't use the room. We were not told that we should have advised motel that we would need a pet friendly room because they only had one.
The owner was friendly and helpful. The room has a fridge and microwave. The room was tiny, we had to put the suitcase under the desk. Everything is very old and a bit gruppy.
The owner was very nice and even upgraded out room for same price
St.Andrews is a lovely little town, and this hotel is so perfect in it's setting. I really liked all the huge vintage prints of the hotel and it's guests from a long bygone era. It was really cool, especially as the hotel itself has been brought up to modern standards of comfort. The room was a little small, but the bed was really comfortable and the furnishings and finishings were really nice. I would stay here again. It's a little pricey, but it's easy to see why.
The inn is located just a block from the waterfront and boutiques/shops, but on a quiet residential street in the older part of town, within walking distance of all points of interest. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. My husband and I are both particular about pillows, but in different ways; however, we both found the pillows to be excellent! The breakfast was beautiful and delicious, and the staff were very accommodating to dietary restrictions. Everything was wonderful! We stayed for two nights and found nothing to complain about!
The view Continental Breakfast? Coffee out of a styrafoam cup and a stale donut. We went to Tim Hotons!
The view of the tides, the wharf, walking distance to restaurants, shops and wharf.
Location Extremely tiny bathroom
Easy check-in. Great location. The hotel is in need of a re-fresh. The room was clean, but the facility, furnishings and fixtures were tired and dated. The matresses should have been replaced years ago.
St Andrews is a beautiful place. The flooring in the room creaked and the carpeting needed replacing. The parking is tight.
Very simple. We were there in off season. Good location. no telephones? Americans are used to phones!
Great location and excellent service. No Room amenities of any significance for the quality of hotel.
clean and well appointed Expected pool and access to fitness center which were not available upon arrival.
Hotel Employee at desk, very helpful.Location right outside of town and adjacent to Plant Center. Room nicely furnished but small. Window ac not expected in this kind of hotel.
The location next to the Kingsbrae Gardens was a plus and the staff could not have been more friendly or accommodating. We felt the room was overpriced for the size of the room. We avoided the restaurant because of reviews we had read from other people prior to our stay, but after we had already booked.
Hotel employee was very personable and accommodating. A great host! Very much enjoyed the breakfast and the conversation around the table. Bed was very comfortable. The room was cluttered and had a moldy smell. There was water coming up through the cracks in the bathroom floor. Seemed to be under construction for years. It appears that hotel employee was responsible for the entire operation of the B&B. Too much f
Neat B & B. Restoration is outstanding. Staff wonderful and friendly. Work in progress on historic residence. Loved the experience.
Under repair. Host received us dirty, smelling not very good. We did not stay even if paid in total!
Excellent service. We arrived as a family of 4 with a 2 person booking Family room was booked, so Don set up the children in cots in the sun room overlooking the harbour - child rates only $10 - He actually did our laundry.St. Andrews was a highlight
Loved it! The room was lovely, bright and airy. Friendly and helpful staff. We had drinks and mussels on the veranda. Could not have been nicer. nothing.
Great location and nice clean rooms. Parking is limited
historic downtown location
Location was superb No complaints other than wifi was weak or did not come in at all due to hurricane Arthur. You can pick up wifi from other restaurants from the patio or upper balconies. Also no coffee in room but you can get from restaurant below.
My husband is still raving about how much he liked our stay at the Picket Fence Motel. I agree. The hosts were friendly and knowledgeable as well as very available. The town of St Andrew NB was a wonderful destination with lots to do.We went out on the Jolly Breeze, a tall ship, for a whale watch cruise. We enjoyed great food at the restaurants by the waterfront. We walked the Kingsbrae Gardens - beautiful and expansive, The gardens were a little pricey but we got a money off coupon at the motel office. And we took an evening shore walk down by the blockhouse. All these were a short drive from the motel. The motel room was spotless, the beds and pillows wonderfully comfortable, and the shower hot and strong. We didn't see a moose but the hosts said that was a good thing and we wished we could have stayed another day.
the owners were very, very friendly. driving from Portland airport we arrived two hours after their office closed, the owner insisted waiting for our late arrival to check us in to the motel. one cannot find a cleaner, more friendly location. there was nothing we disliked
