8.3 Excellent
Pros: Central and helpful staff
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, quiet, very comfortable. Nice person at the desk, very good advice about places in Sarria.
Cons: Perfect place for overnight stay on Camino. The noise insulation in walls could be better - but that is the issue with almost all pensions in Spain.
7.5 Good
Pros: Nice, updated rooms and bathroom
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Comfy venue, helpful staff, washing machine
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Excellent place to stay before starting the Camino in Sarria. Staff was very helpful in setting up backpack delivery.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We spent one night here while walking the Camino. The room was modern, quiet & spotlessly clean, with very comfortable beds, air conditioning that worked well and a very nice bathroom. The manager was lovely and very helpful. The location set back from the street is also great as there was no outside noise after 8:30 or so.
Cons: If we were being very honest, the one little thing that wasn’t perfect for us is that the Guest house is at the level of the river, so to continue the Camino the next day you start by walking up a very steep set of stairs & streets. You can get around it by walking around, instead of over, the hill but then you would miss a small portion of the Camino. There is lots of accommodation on top of the hill near the church but I doubt that many are as nice as this one. And if you were afraid of hills, you wouldn’t be walking the Camino!

Pros: Nice ambience Friendly and helpfull hosted Good price/quality
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Accommodations were perfect. We stayed in Room #1 and it exceeded my expectations. The room was beautiful and the beds were very comfortable. The room was so nice I inquired about long term stay options!! The hostess was beyond helpful! I accidentally made a reservation on booking.com for the following day and it was intended for 2 days in advance as it was close to 40km away. I am walking with my family and at this point in the Camino... We are not doing more than 27km. The hostess was wonderful help and called the establishment for me. Her Spanish was better than mine and she helped to arrange the appropriate dates for me as that hotel had a firm zero refund policy. After a few calls from her, I received my full refund. Added bonus... Hostess has an adorable crocker Spanial.
Cons: It was a perfect treat after a month on the camino and 5 days more to go.

Pros: Absolutely gorgeous property in Samos on the Camino. Stellar house fully restored with all modern bathroom and kitchen. Angel greeted us and gave us a tour of the house. We had it to ourselves for the night. Gorgeous, well decorated, light filled bedroom and the most amazing rain shower! Wonderful bath products, huge and comfortable bed. Lots of light. So wonderfully clean and laundry was done for us for £5. Peaceful and calm. Loved it! Such a good find! Hard to leave.
Cons: Absolutely perfect in every way.

Pros: It is in a beautiful restored stone building. They kept the charm and added modern conveniences. The room was lovely and comfortable. I liked the shared living room and kitchen...which we had to ourselves, very cozy. It was a short walk to the monastery and other places in town. Bit of an uphill walk back from town, but still worth the effort. I would definitely stay here again!
9.5 Excellent

Pros: Loved the location and the Pension. The manager was very awesome and accommodating and helpful. Our room was comfortable, and the shared bathroom was very clean and new and nice. We also liked that we only shared with maybe four other people, so that was nice. It was not crowded. And I loved that we had a coffee maker in the kitchen to use. At this point in our trip, we just wanted a big cup of coffee, so this was heaven.
Cons: There could be a sign on the door or outside indicating we were at the right place. It was a little confusing when we got there not knowing if we were at the Pension or someone's private house. Otherwise everything was perfect.

Pros: The owner, Antonio, is extremely welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was incredible, very complete and with the employees good mood as bonus :).
Cons: The details could definitively be improved, to offer more comfort to the room. Pros: This hotel is one of the best hotel on the Camino way. The hotel is so charming. The food was wonderful. The staff were so helpful and careing. A little of the beaten track but well worth a visit.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice place for quiet and isolated environment. In the middle of nowhere
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owner was very friendly and welcoming. The place is lovely and cosy.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Fine old property, sympathetically furnished in a tranquil, scenic setting. Really spacious room, with comfortable bed and good en-suite. Pleasant dining/breakfast room with a varied and extensive breakfast - (Wonderful scrambled eggs!) Clean, good-sized pool, lovely gardens and lots of outside spaces to sit and relax. Friendly, helpful and accommodating staff and owner.
Cons: Shower a bit basic - fed off taps. Pool furniture needs updating a bit - some of the loungers were past their sell-by date. Both my sister and I had to query our bills. We both booked through Booking.com with defined prices, though this seemed to have not registered completely with the property's computerised booking system. The owner had upgraded our rooms, which was really good of him, but as he didn't tell us this would be extra, it was a bit of a shock when coming to pay. I sorted my bill amicably enough, but it might be worth checking and agreeing your details before coming to pay. We had a really enjoyable stay, but this took the edge off things a small bit.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is one of the best places we've stayed ever: sleeping in an historic villa for very little money is something you cannot miss! We arrived in the afternoon and we relaxed in the swimming pool; then we've been suggested a really good and cheap restaurant in the neighborhood. Sleeping was simply perfect: the structure is surrounded by nature, you can only hear animals around! Then breakfast was definitely a 10, as there were lots of things to eat and drink. Everything's perfect!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Charming Hotel in the countryside, perfect for a romantic escape or just to wind down. Wonderful breakfast, great People.
Cons: The beds Need upgrading, they seem a bit outdated. And for dinner there are not the Options you would expect from a charming hotel like this. But they said they will work on it.

Pros: Wow! Casa de Diaz was an incredible casa rural and a nice break from walking the Camino. Everything about this place was fabulour. I highly recommend this hotel!
Cons: We did have a communication issue/misunderstanding about dinner and ended up bringing our own picnic meal. It was still fabulous and the hotel staff took great care of us, even paying for our wine!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This may have been my favorite place! The owner could not have been more helpful. The food was delicious and the property itself is gorgeous.
Cons: I have no complaints.

Pros: Wonderful hotel located on the far side of town. This is perfect for pilgrims as it means that you do not have to walk through town the following morning. The supermarket is close by for this interested. The staff are friendly And attentive. The bedrooms are comfortable and recently renovated. There are plans to renovate the bathrooms in the near future - although I found the bathrooms to be functional and clean. The hotel is situated on the river Sarria. I opened the windows and slept soundly to the noise of the river. A terrace on each floor allows for washing to be hung and dried outside.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The couple who checked in Camino guests clearly were/are perfect hosts. Though I couldn’t speak Spanish they were so accommodating as all the Spaniards have been. They showed me all the facilities patiently like I was their only guest. Such hospitality is wonderful for the weary footed traveler in a new setting. I wish I could add their names. I smile as I type this because I can still recall their kind smiles. I simply love this team-couple. They exemplified true Camino compassions. Plenty blankets Wonderful shower power Private unisex restrooms Comfortable clean bed Great Camino sleepers (no irritating bring-the-house snorers; great company of Camino community) Thank you. Gratitude. Love.
Cons: Some of the smokers smoked too close to the building so the building sucked in the stinky smoke. No other complaints—

Pros: Clean, large albergue with a pool. The restaurant was good, albeit slow.
Cons: Checkin happens at the counter of a gift shop, so it's very crowded and was hard to get the staff member's attention.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was a fantastic albergue on the Camino. Super clean with with contemporary bathrooms. Each 8 bedded unit has en suite bathrooms. The swimming pool, garden seating, bar and restaurant are more in keeping with a hotel than an albergue.

Pros: Beautiful grounds. The pool is nice. Good food. Comfy beds and hot showers.
Cons: Staff was so busy they didn't have time to be friendly. No wifi in the dorms. All lights in a room are on one circuit so don't plan on sleeping in.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic place!!! Incredible to have a pool, real treat and the triple room was clean and spacious! Food the most delicious on the Camino. Only downfall unfortunately was to do with laundry, which was handed in at 2pm... I had to make three trips to reception from 8pm when I was told it would be 20mins, at 9pm was told half an hour... and still had to wait. Not ideal when up early. So just better communication needed there, otherwise an absolute treasure! Well done!
Cons: Communication regarding laundry
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, comfortable beds. Good shower. Very tasty meals and generous servings. Good facilities for pilgrims. Swimming pool was fabulous.
Cons: Extra bunk in front of toilet, showers. Not nice for the people in that bunk. I think this may have been temporary due to renovation next door?
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful albergue and great environment; much better spending the night in Casa Barbadelo than staying in Sarria if walking the Camino de Santiago.
