Clean, modern hotel. The fresh fruit and water in the corridors was an excellent touch, and highlights excellent customer service. Not enough information supplied about local area, bathrooms are a little adventurous with the glass walls, it was fine for us but may be a little disconcerting for friends or new couples!
staff in general very friendly, very good facilities, nice location... i called three times to try to get an extra bed and noone was able to give me an answer, they never contacted me back to confirm this even though i especifically asked to get in contact with me so that we could book an extra room somewhere else. There was an obvious lack of organization between the staff.
Freebies Noisy & Small Room
Good hotel in the center of San Fernando. It is necessary take the car to go to the sea side in 5 minutes. The personal was vary polite.
we arrived in the dark and the lights in our room did not work. They told us dinner was available until 10.30 but the restaurant was closed at 10 pm. The water was cold when we tried to have a bath at 6 pm on the Friday evening. It was hot the next morning.
Good location, good breakfast, free parking, internet in rooms (kind of) Poor maintenance, internet very spotty, very noisy - day and night. Poor air conditioning.
Access to Cadiz and local beaches. Pools were not open during our visit despite high temperatures and staff failed to control loud group of individuals who kept us up at night. My family did not feel secure.
Nice view and clean room.
Peace and quiet but close to everything The bathroom was not as well maintained as it could be and the water from the taps was orange in colour but this didnt spoil our stay.
Front desk people was very nice to us, due the booking reservation have not been received but they look for a room for us. This is not a 4 star hotel.
Great Location. Very Good looking building and nice breakfast. Some of the facilities in the room were a bit dated. The shower seemed quite old and a little rusty in places.
The pool area was vey clean and well kept. the bungalows were very basic accomodation and were not worth the money. Also the reception staff took money out of the wrong account two days into the holiday to pay for our accomodation without our consent. That upset us and put us off and we moved up to seville a few days later.
The hotel looks and feels great The Front Desk lady was not welcoming, she kept asking for the people that was staying in the room's ID, even after I paid for the room she didn't want to give me the WiFi pass word until I gave her the ID of people staying in the room. Also she wanted me to pay 11€ for parking when I parked outside by the door w/o a problem and no charge. Everytime I saw her she will remind me of the ID. I work in a 5 star hotel as a manager and the way she treat me wasn't hospitable at all.
Very clean. Nice room. Decent location halfway between tourist city and nightlife. Better for families than solo travellers.
was "pretty" handy for access to old town. Lots of walking involved
Central, comfortable , and staff helpful.Even cleaned car windscreen whilst garaged overnight. No
Rooms need upgrading but are very comfortable. Location is excellent for the old town. Approx 10 mins walk or bus if necessary. Several good restaurants about 10 mins walk down by the beach. More suitable for city break or business than resort hotel.
Only one night, very good, breakfast staff excellent
Hotel staff very friendly. Hotel located across the street from the beach. Hotel had limited information about things to do in the area.
Large, clean room. All facilities of a good standard. English-speaking staff. The hotel is very good but I would reccommend more for business than leisure
I think that the price for this hotel (room) was very good, the staff was nice.. Breakfast is too expensive...
The location was good for the historic town It was a bit tired and in need of room makeovers
Staff were helpful Breakfast poor. There are no balconies and you advertise that all rooms have balconies
wonderful location, close to bus station and rental car agency as well as the heart of the old city
the situation, and the brasserie style cafe
We were treated extremely well by the staff and when they realised we were visiting from NZ showed additional positive interest in our well being.
comfortable the cleaning woman didn't change used glasses of our room so we had to wash them to use by ourselves.
The staff at the breakfast was unpleasant, not helpful or nice. No parking
Nice and central but no real buzz in the surrounding area as with our hotel in Seville. instructions on how to find it. Totally incomprehensible. Took nearly 45 minutes to find it. When rung hotel staff no real help. Access to hotel garage diabolical
Location, reception areas English translation of menu
The best thing about this hotel is the spa. The location is also terrific as it's close to the train station and central for shopping and sightseeing. Also, make sure that you go up to the roof as the view is terrific (and then you won't need to make the climb to the top of any of the towers in town!). The decor of the hotel was not what I would consider to be a 4-star standard; the description says that it's a "brand new hotel" but I don't see how this is possible - everything looked very worn-out. Also, you have to pay extra to use the spa, which was worth it, but then they also have a bunch of other charges on top of the extra charge - such as, you have to wear flip flops in the spa and if you don't have any, you have to buy some from them. They also charge extra for towels in the spa, which seems a bit petty - we used the ones from our rooms rather than pay an extra 1.50 euros each, but then had no dry towels to use in our room.
SPA is excellent... breakfast was not included to the price, strange... ( 117 eur )
Excellent location right next to port and in the old town. Foyer earea etc excellent. Rooms don't have views though. Very helpful staff . Room clean and comfortable with all usual facilites, including tea and coffee making facilites. Room service good and value for money
the position of the hotel in relation to the attractions of the city we booked no smoking rooms and were put into smoking rooms one of which could best be described as an ashtray! Staff showed little interest in solving the problem.
Not much, only the hotel staff: nice and efficient. A lot but above all its value for money: 300 euros per night for a hotel where, for example, simply there was not sufficient parking space!!
We played golf, and used the restaurants in the courtyard at Novo Sancti. Went to the fabulous beach. No
New and nice designed hotel, good location in Sancti Petri, Junior suite are perfect for family purpose. Lovely pool and vicinity. Beach within walking distance (5 minutes) Choice and range of product offered for Lunch and Dinner should be improved.
The quiet and tranquility no
This hotel is fully meet 4* star requirements. Very comfortable, clean, good restaurant, very clean pools. Most of personnel doesn't speak English. There was not enough parking placesnear the hotel.
Nice location, comfortable rooms. bunch of crazy gipsy drunk men singing on the beach at 4:am!!!
Ideally situated for both the beach and for exploring the old town of Cadiz.
Cleaning of room daily was abit hit and miss eg: we had to reuse dirty glasses, toiletry products not replaced daily.
Close to beach, helpful when I left bag behind, view, Charges for parking and wifi
Beach front location is excellent, though I did have to pay extra for beachfont rooms. lift from rooms to beach without going through lobby great facility. Lobby of the hotel is grubby especially the large sofa which needs cleaning. the whole hotel could do with a makeover. if it were not for the location the hotel would not rate highly and even with its good location I think it is overpriced
cracking locatio on the beach close to restuarants and cheringuitos. nice pool and breakfast comprehensive not so easy to get to by road adn expensive parking
The view from the room
The view from of the beach was nice once we paid the 22 euros of extra. The welcome desk was rude. The initial room( without the extra 22 euros of a full front), was poor, we had a perfect view on a gray facade of a decrepit building. The hotel did not reply to our initial questions at provided on the booking website!
great location right beside a beautiful beach not all balconies get the sun
The location right on the soft sand beach and beautiful design of the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would have preferred one double bed instead of two twin beds, but there were none available in non-smoking rooms.
fast service in the restaurant, animation, cleanliness SPA is rather old with limited treatment and service, strong kitchen smell in the room at breakfast and dinner time, few staff speaking English, slow and bad service in the bar (during animation program)
Staff very efficient and friendly The guests - my wallet and mobile telephone were stolen at poolside
relaxing atmosphere, closesness to beach, excellent buffet
we had a very nice sea view no very enjoyabale stay
The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff; the tremendous variety of food and entertainment. The lovely swimming pools. The disabled room did not have grab-handles in the bath to give more stability when showering.
Food buffet was excellent every evening, something for everyone. Very peaceful surroundings. The staff were all very pleasant, but we found there was not enough of them in the bar areas - had to wait for drinks, could not get service on the outside terrace. Disappointed that the pool bar was not open later than 6.30 on warm sunny evenings in April.
Everything was absolutely perfect: very clean, delicious food and very friendly staff. We were there from 24/3/08 until 31/3/08 -> it was awesome. We also went to the MotoGP-race @ Jerez, which is only a 45 min. ride -> great holiday!
Tranquil setting, excellent food, very good pools, good access to beach, good picturesque grounds and attentive staff
Very welcoming and informative from moment of arrival. No language problems. Very suited to families but equally suited for a quiet break which we were looking forward to as no noise disturbance even though hotel quite full. Food excellent with plenty of variety and fresh produce - good value for money.
For a large hotel-and I generally don't like large hotels-all systems worked with precision. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient and the location of the hotel with less than a 2 minute walk from the hotel to the beautiful barrosa beach was excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel. No!
The excellent situation, and the view from the terrace. The courteous and helpful staff. very good breakfast. Easy walk to the od town with all its attractions. If you want the beach there is an excellent one just 2 mins turning right from the hotel. Always something to see in the bay, we were pleased we took the binoculars. There were problems with the pool while we were there, but I assume this was only temporary.
The very good accessibility to all the sights which you need to see in Cadiz couldn't have been happier with the location. The restaurant.
it is very closed to the old city of Cadiz...the view on the Altantico is fantastic...The swimming pool is very nice as well. the room was clean and comfortable. I would recommend it.
The location. The staff is trying very hard to give you a good experience, still, no one can be that good so you forget about the old hotel. Very old and in bad condition, not refurbished for around 20 years. Airconditioning in first room not working at all during the day, so we got a new one when we came back after dinner. Then we find out that the AC is switched off in the whole hotel its switched off at 11.30 pm means you will have a very warm sleep. There are much much nicer hotels for this price in Cadiz. Very surprised to see this rund down place being marketed as a Parador. Very very disapointed.
Very convenient location. Spacious and well appointed hotel room. Good sea views from balcony. Airy public rooms.
Excellent possibility to combine "city activities" (fascinating history, culture, flamenco, gasttronomy etc) and "beach activities"
The view of the rooms was excellent. The hotel is very well located, very clean... rooms has everything u can need during a vacation. Hotel has great pool by seaside, and one very nice thing... they had a live piano player every night at the restaurants area.. very romantic!!! Definitely i would go there again! The rooms were kinda old... definitely they need some refurbishment... still they were extremely clean and comfortable.
Location Friends who were with us had a very poor room which needed modernisation, very disappointing for a Parador.
Good location and great view parking available The pool was not in use
Rooms spacious and clean No beach access
Reception staff were excellent on the day. Rooms looked tired and in need of refurbishment.
We were made welcome, given a very comfortable room with fantastic views over the beach. Breakfast was very good but the dining room seemed a bit canteen like.
The location of the hotel, it is on the most beautiful beach. We visit the hotel regularly. N/A
Parking facilities. Convinient for beach, resturants and city centre
The convenience of the beach and eating establishments. Rooms are clean and bathroom is first class. Pillows could be more plump.
the people , the comfort , the location , the view all is perfect dining room and terrace facilities needs to be updated .
Wonderful location opposite beach with night street market in front of the hotel and choice of great restauants. Easy to get about with buses.
The location and facilities were very good. I also very much appreciated the bottle of wine and dessert being placed in my room on my birthday - my thanks to the management and staff Perhaps some of the staff could work on their friendliness - perhaps it is just the cultural diffrence (New Zealand and Spain) - very few of the staff ever smiled when being greeted or greeting us.
The location is great, right on the beach.
Very good location and friendly staff. You need to cross the street in order to get to the beach.
reception, helpful staff, wifi cafe bar only open mornings
The orange juice and nice people. The breakfeast: the bread wasn't good. The room's view.
Only stayed one night but it was convenient, comfortable and clean - and the receptionist spotted it was my birthday and wished my happy birthday!
There is linked car parking space within 100 metres and buses pass directly in front of the hotel heading for the city centre. Like many continental hotels there was no kettle in the room. As a Brit I would really appreciate that facility.
Proximity to beach - whilst easy to get to the old town via bus. Decent breakfast included Surrounding area is a bit grubby.
Stayed for a business trip. Basic facilities, nothing fabcy but all that you need for business trip. Clean, close to the beach and relatively cheap when I booked. They gave me a room looking at the back so no nice view but quiet. Most of the staff could hardly speak english. No wifi in my room, had to go to the lounge to check my emails. On the website on booking.com was saying "air shuttle" but this refers to the public bus service (which takes almost 2 h for a 30 min drive), not a hotel service!
friendly staff and hotel was clean, well maintained and cosy. No choice for breakfast. Coffee not hot and hotel was in location surrounded with shops but few restaurants and bars near to hotel
The hotel staff was very kind and helpful
The Hotel was very well situated the staff particularly at reception were very good and helpful a bit on the pricey side but other than that very good
We liked the room (comfortable and clean). There was lots of light and a nice view. The lobby area was nicely done. The bar at night did not serve any food.
I did not like anything. The room was dirty. It was a junior suite with a huge balcony but very unsecure (as the balcony was connected to the corridor by one side). The hotel was very noisy and the food awful. It has no direct access to the beach as other hotels. It is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at.Even 2 stars hotels are better than this one.
Price/Quality ratio is perfect. Cousine is perfect. Spa facilities very good, the Ocean is the best. Strongly recommended.
The room was reasonably large and had a balcony overlooking the pool. The services were terrible. The waiters and waitresses could care less about you. The food was dull, boring, and repetitive. Parking was problematic. Maid service was minimal and the room was not cleaned. I had to go asking for towels 2 times. The room key would not work. There were cats climbing on the resturant tables in the morning!
My room was spacious and really enjoyed the balcony. The Spa was wonderful. Parking was a nightmare. Staff was very unfriendly. Had many issues with room key not working properly. Layout of hotel was not user friendly at all.
The breakfast was excellent ! The buffet in the evening good ! They forgot to clean our room from one day to the other ! We paid a little more to have a Junior Suite, but that was waste of money. The room was also foolishly furnished.
location good staff very helpful and food ok long queues experienced for breakfast and dinner during weekend.
Cleanliness, Golf course and breakfast
It is close to the beach. Hotel staff was extremely poor. Everything is pay extra. Parking is terrible. Hotel food was plain and excessively expensive. This should be rated a 3-star at best, not 4-star. Choose somewhere else!
the buffet service for breakfast, lunch and dinner was very good, plenty of family entertainment at night, good location by the beach, great sea views from my room, close to a commercial centre There were no snack facilities between lunch and dinner and the mini bar is only filled up on request, which means filling in a form and taking it down to reception. The phone was not working and I had to carry all my luggage to my room myself.
Only the location!! pool inside and outside very cool! lanuages problems, sliding door to the balcony was broken, Aircon during the night switched off by the Hotel, for everything you have to pay
The location I was first given a room with views over the parking and the room stank of stale tobacco so I went down to reception and upgraded to a room with sea views. Lovely room, lovely views but the floor was covered in dead ants. Rest of the hotel and area was fine.
On the beach. Great variety (and good quality food) at buffet breakfast and dinner. Nickel and dimed you for everything - beach towels, beach umbrellas and hammocks. Older and therefore grungier rooms and facilities.
The swimming pool and the food were very good Air conditioning was rubbish throughout the entire hotel, and especially the rooms.
relaxed environment the staff at checking made me pay for the whole stay upfront and they did not understand the reservation, thus tried to charge me dubbel the amount...
The position of the hotel and the pool is fantastic. The hotel is very clean and well mantained.
Swimming pool, close to the beach, parking...perfect place to have rest and enjoy the beach. We stayed during the general strike in Spain and the hotel made a lot a efforts to keep a good service. Person at the reception and Brita, the manager, were very kin during our stay... Swimming pool very cold !!
I enjoyed the facilities and friendly staff together with the great selection of food at the buffet. when we first checked inone of the rooms allocated was quite appalling but this was immediatley changed, also being a four star hotel their was no help with the luggage and we ahd two prams to carry also!!
i liked the stuff. very pleasant and obliging. i liked the breakfasts, which are in many levels above the general class of the hotel. the breakfasts were just excellent, though the dining room was crowded and noisy. i did not like the fact that you can get no food at any time, apart from the breakfasts, and you need to get out of the hotel in order to get something to eat.no room service, and even this Pizza delivery didn't work at the relevant times (we tried twice).
Nice location, friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is new, clean and quite an impressive building, nice pool and access to good beach. Buffet food of generally high standard, although very large and impersonal eating area. Good undercover secure and free parking. Drinking and eating around pool not allowed, presumably for safety reasons but could have used plastic instead of glass. Detracted from being able to fully unwind and relax around the pool. More for family stays than intimate get-away.
Facilities were excellent
The best thing by far were the staff. Very friendly, helpful and courteous, they are your biggest asset We did not like the baby club closing as of the 1st September, ourselves and other families would have welcomed the service.
I enjoy my stay at the Iberostar Andalucia Playa... everything was excellent and I hope I can return soon. Thanks for the flower that I had received from one of your employed. GRACIAS
he design of the hotel is very attractive and the bedrooms spacious and beautifully decorated. The pool is superb and there is very easy access to the beach, along which one can walk for miles. The food is superb and the staff extremely polite and helpful. There's a very relaxed and luxurious air about the place. It is a treat to have a free car park which is reasonably secure, although the parking spaces are quite narrow. We were glad to have a smallish car.
Great staff, incredibly friendly. Fantastic location, on the beach. Quiet area, great to relax. Lack of F&B offer
Good food and accommodation Unfortunately due to the weather on the day previously, we were unable to use the outdoor as it was closed due to it being in need of cleaning.
Great place to stay for sun holiday. Beach, golf, pool excellent. Staff so friendly and nice. Lovely touches such as serving sangria by the pool and before going into dinner. Night time entertainment is limited and poor
Absolutely nothing for kids to do - the park in the sister hotel was locked which seems a waste. The childrens pool was not in use and I felt the whole atmostphere has changed since our last visit two years ago - for the worse.
I liked the facilities, the friendly staff and the big selection of food at breakfast and lunch.
The most unique hotel really amazing worth seeing even if you weren't staying here. Really five star. Excellent breakfast great food Everything in the room is so high tech. Our curtains started opening and closing by themselves at 2:00 am. We shoul have asked for a little inservice on how to work all the controls.
Comfortable, clean and pleasant surroundings Found nothing to complain about
The hotel gardens are wonderful. The staff helpful and cheerful. The food is excellent. Only the fact that I paid 53euros per night more than was necessary, and presumably that much more than most of the other guests.
Good design, pleasant staff, clean and efficient, good facilities A bit understaffed in some areas
The customer services staff, Bachi, Maria and Monica were very good Rooms were noisy from the disco on the ground floor, the rooms were not up to standard with leaks in the bathroom shower reported but not fixed, the hotel food was not good value for money and very few staff could communicate in English
The spacious areas at the pool and beautiful scenery In the evenings room service would take up to an hour for a tea and a coffee. More staff is needed. Also it's too big, I do not know where everything is after being 3 days there. La Zahara restaurant is way too expensive, it cost 150euros for 2 and we were both young people. Finally the way to go out to the beach was very long.
Too much beton for my taste around the pool and terrace, too much city type hotel
Excellent pool facilities . The opening hours of the hotel bar we found could be extended at weekends.
Perfect setting, very friendly staff, good facilities, enjoyed spa treatments, cleanliness. The music in the communal areas (corridors) was too loud.
It was about a 7 minute walk to the beach. Very nice rooms, though a little small for 3 adults and a baby. Everything was new and clean. The hotel staff was very helpful. Great breakfast! The hotel is not close to the "touristy" parts of Cadiz. Not a whole lot of restaurants really close by. The hotel rooms are only meant for 2 people.
The room was a good size and the beds were very comfortable. The design of the foyer was odd. Instead of opening out into the hotel, it seemed to get smaller.
room was very clean and cool, confortable bed and amazing shower when we arrived we were given a set of keys that didnt work, i asked for another set of keys that also didnt work, the third ones were ok but we were asked to leave them at reception every time. also on the last night the window kept opening all night due to the wind, apart from this i couldnt really fault this hotel
Convenient for the beach. Bathroom doors were made of tinted glass. You could see through them.
the staff were super friendly
Good location. Smelly smokey rooms & lights in the corridors are very inadequate - it's to dark!
Beach nearby, easy access to everywhere, very helpful staff, good view from our room Never managed to connect to the internet, we didnt have a double bed but two beds pushed together
The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Good location. Room 411 unpleasant view from window of peoples washing hanging from the balconies of their flats.
Good location, clean tidy and quiet room, close to amenities, hassle free stay. No tea/coffee making facility in room
value for money, breakfast, rooms far from historical center
View from the bedroom. Very comfortable bed. The fact the swimming pool was out of use (& had been for a long while). Staff not as good as they could have been.
The staff were very helpful and the location was perfect for visiting the city. Initially there appeared to be some cleanliness issues but these were addressed promptly
The staff. Both the front desk and restaurant personnel was very welcoming, friendly. The front desk personnel went the extra mile to accommodate all our needs. No parking
Position. Rooms were good - ours faced the Cathedral. Staff very pleasant. Breakfast could have had more choices, but adequate.
Staff helpful & friendly. Location, close to beautiful beach & was walking distance to where i needed to be everyday (Swimming Pool). Cost (expensive), especially when compared to the deals you can get these days (recession times).
location was perfect! The beach and restaurants are very close.
Very pleasant & clean
We like all good restaurents and bars close to the hotel. Nice walk along the beachfront into old town (30 min). Our apartment have a good view over the sea. Clean and spacious. Staff were very helpful and Nice.Beach playa victoria also very good. Nice people in Cadiz overall. No.
location and Privacy No pool
Good and friendly staff, clean rooms Expensive based on room, no breakfast & location, but choosen because it was in walking distance of the swimming competition centre
Comfortable room, convenient cafe on site
not so expensive but comfortable and clean! excellent!!
Great staff: super-friendly and helpful. Very quiet room. Excellent location practically on the beach. Trifle expensive for a 3 star hotel, but then it was peak season and all the hotels were full.
