The rooms are quite spacious & comfortable. My friend & I got to meet the owners & were given a small history of the facility. Felix from the restaurant was attentive to our needs. Spoke fluent English & the service was superb. Danke.
Cons: Not every room seem to have slippers & robes. Also, an extra outlet need to be where the tv area is. Not everyone needs to have an outlet beside the bed only.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff, sparkling clean and new!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: It's a beautiful hotel, with well designed rooms, complete with modern amenities. The rooms we stayed in was very spacious, with a nice view of the town of Sankt Georgen. The town centre is just a short walk away, with a Müller Drogeriemarkt where you can buy the amenities you forget to bring. The buffet breakfast offers a good selection, and the restaurant is an excellent choice for dinner - I tried the pheasant breast, which is a very tough dish to make, but the chef had it pretty well mastered. The Rehbraten that my girlfriend tried was excellent as well. The wine selection was pretty good too. Its a great restaurant for a nice romantic dinner.
Cons: Parking is mainly behind the hotel, and it's a bit confusing to find the way to the reception from there. The walk from the parking area to the back entrance is very steep, so dragging heavy bags or baby carriages up there when it snows could be tricky.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Loved the location. It’s beautiful. The food in the restaurant is excellent - both dinner and breakfast. Friendly staff. Check in was easy and parking was ample. Hotel looks brand new. It’s the best around. Beds are comfy and showers are amazing. Highly recommend.
Cons: There were only two things I didn’t like. First. Lots of hugs flies. Not sure if this is just a Black Forest thing. Second. The showers are not private as the doors are made of glass so if you’re sharing a room with your young daughter or father in law it can be quite embarrassing.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Federwerk ensures customer experience from service, design to amenities. A great place to be in the Black Forest with world class setup.
8.0 Excellent

Pros: It's a lovely quiet place and the hospitality is heartwarming. Good breakfast and a great environment for holidays.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Due to a sat nav problem, and after a long day travelling, we managed to get lost on our way to the hotel. When I phoned for directions the owner’s daughter came to meet us in the town! She really went out of her way and she was so warm, kind and welcoming! Her mum who runs the hotel can’t speak English but we managed to communicate fine. The place itself was very clean and the breakfast was amazing. It is a beautiful place in a beautiful setting. Thank you again for coming to our rescue :)

9.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff gave us a warm welcome! Very kind staff and provided us a great meal! Breakfast was delicious,
Cons: The shower clogged up.
7.5 Good
Pros: Staff were nice, good location.
Cons: Our room was next to an exit and the “designated” smoking area outside. We opened our window only to have smoke blow back in. I’m a non smoker and this seriously is a major problem for me. The inconsiderate smoking culture of Europe expects non smokers to just accept their rude behavior. Being by the exit also is a major problem for excessive noise. Family coming in at 0130 very loud, waking us up causing the dog to bark. I specifically asked about excessive noise upon check in and was assured it was not a problem. Breakfast ran out of food at 0840 on the last day of our stay so we left without eating. The person working said she would get more bread and make more eggs but that should have been done before we got there. Why did I have to bring it to her attention? Overall the stay was okay but the beds were uncomfortable and the room had little air movement and was hot.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly host Big and clean room Nice and modern bathroom. Very central location
Cons: Bad bed (uncomfortable, lots of creaking and a little too short) Scrambled eggs was with bacon in it, so for vegetarians no scrambled eggs.

Pros: This little hotel in the middle of Triberg is a gem! Literally in the middle of all the action (though our room was quiet and had a lovely view), the hotel was clean, cozy, and the breakfast was fantastic. My 13 year old daughter and I greatly enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Thank you, Bettina!

Pros: The hotel is perfectly located to visit Triberg. Close to everything and a short stroll to the famous waterfalls. Owner friendly, hands-on and available. Breakfast was great and plenty.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything’s perfect. The room was clean and spacious with huge windows and amazing view. And the location was unbeatable as well - right in the town center, 15 mins walk away from the waterfall and just across the street from the bus stop. And I read about how people like their breakfast and was not believing them. I am not a morning person and not usually have breakfast but I would say definitely worth trying here - with the balcony, fresh morning air, and the selections of cheese, ham and bread.
Cons: Nothing really about the property but it was a long way up-climbing from the train station and there weren’t many buses. So be prepared if you got lots of luggage.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel with a nice decoration, confortable room with big windows and very well located.
Cons: Towels a bit humid.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is located right in the centre of town, with public parking just behind the hotel. Great breakfast in a cozy breakfast room with a balcony overlooking the mountains.

Pros: My family and I visited Europe for three weeks this summer on vacation. I calculated I drove my rental car over 2000 miles during my visit. This hotel is exactly what I needed. I arrived a bit early, but the staff was kind enough to check in a bit early. I promptly scheduled a massage in the hotel's spa to get rid of all the stiffness from being in the car so long. The massage was amazing. The hotel was super clean, inviting and comfortable. The location was second to none and the food was amazing. We enjoyed our stay so much we ended up booking an additional night. I would highly recommend this hotel. Thank you.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was ideal. The view was amazing! The space was clean and perfect for our needs.
Cons: it was too expensive! I did not enter the correct number of people and was charged additional money for my kids on arrival. Cons: Most of the staff could not speak English. No one was usually at the front counter. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere. It's overpriced for what you get.

Pros: The restaurant attached to the hotel is very good! The bed was comfortable, but the spa area was where we spent the majority of our time! The indoor/outdoor pool was very relaxing!
Cons: There isn't cell phone service in the area, but they did have wifi that worked very well!

Pros: Location was beautiful. Peaceful and quiet. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Spa is wonderful! If you want a larger shower, pay a little extra for the room upstairs with bathtub.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very nice Hotel isolated in the middle of the hills of the Black Forest, 5 min by car from the nearest village. Very relaxing atmosphere, great outdoor pool, nice small pool inside, excellent masseuse, great food. The room on the second room was nice, with firm, but not hard mattresses. The bathroom was modern and nice, a touch small. We took a long walk, 3.5 hours around the hills, it was Black Forest pure, wonderful!! Just what we were looking for: a charming Hotel in the middle of the Black Forest.
Cons: The wellness area is a little dated, but has its appeal, with salt cave, hamam and sauna. The long waiting times in the Restaurant.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: My partner and i were happy with the friendly welcome and the services. We liked that the room came with a fridge and we also liked that the hotel had free access to the pools and saunas.
Cons: The bed in our room was very uncomfortable and hard and the pillows could of been a little more supportive in that the pillows were too soft.
7.0 Good
Pros: nice location, relaxing place; very quiet.
Cons: it was not clean enough. dirty floor.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: It was a very neat older style guest house. The owners live there and run the entire place with their family. They speak English really well. They’re very informative of the surrounding area and they also run the restaurant that’s down stairs. Food was absolutely amazing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely place, amazing scenery, just a few steps away from the forest, clean air, yummy breakfast. Restaurant on the premises was really good. Stuff is friendly and lovely. Would stay there again.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: We could hear the chirping of the birds in the room and in the garden. The flowers are blooming and very beautiful. We could see the Black Forest from our room window and we could hear the Triberg waterfall.
Cons: Have to climb many steps down from the parking of vehicle on the roadside to the apartment room at the bottom.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The owner is super sweet. The place is quite and beautiful. No problem finding a parking in front(not the literal meaning) of the property. Apartment is spacious and easily fits a family of 4. The utensils and coffee machine are more like vintage stuff.
Cons: No Internet at all! Who doesn't have internet in this time?! I have EU data roaming, but there is no provider who gives even a 3G here. It was just a surprise for me, that the property is located below the street level, so any way you have to park the car on street and take the stairs to reach the property. The apartment is further down, like -2 level from the street. Might be difficult for people with mobility issues.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were very large and very nice. One room with a balcony and the other room was a divided room for adults and kids. Very nice!!
Cons: It was a little inconvenient that the hotel and restaurant were closed on the Monday that we were staying there.
6.8 Good
Pros: Close to the main sights of triberg.
Cons: As an American, just know that whatever you do, it will be wrong, from check in to check out. They limit the amount of devices you can have Wi-Fi on to 2 per room, meaning if you have a laptop and phone and the person you're traveling with has a phone, one of the devices is out of luck.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed our stay very much! The hotel even gave us a guest card to use for admission to local attractions like the waterfall. It was extremely hot while we were visiting and the card got us admission to the fun outdoor community pool just up the street (walking distance). The restaurant was wonderful and the service was top notch!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is situated close to the Triberg waterfalls and also to town. The view from our room was beautiful. We watched as the sun set and the the town glowed below. The breakfast was amazing! The presentation as well as the food was more than one could ask for at a hotel breakfast.
Cons: There was nothing

Motor cycle parking is perfect. The little walk down to the shops is easy, and the entrance to the waterfall is just across the street. We were very happy with the room and bathroom. The private garden is very well kept and restful with water features ans interesting planting.
Cons: A pity we could not enjoy breakfast at the hotel every day, and a lift would be nice.

Pros: Authentic German facility, hosts, and foods. Our large room had a beautiful view of Triberg. Great storage and room for all our stuff! Plus mirrors! The shower was large. But the food topped it all. Breakfast was outstanding, and dinners in the garden were excellent, German prepared, and homemade. The hosts were accommodating and kind. I wouldn’t hesitate to return.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The whole complex has a strange mystical charm. Like some fairy tale castle. Turns out it was built in early 1900 as a children's spa. My colleague wondered if it had ghosts, none showed up, though. The metaphysical aside, it is a great place to stay. They were proactive in calling us and arranging late key transfer. There even was a night-cap to be had at 11:30pm.
Cons: We were put up in the nurses quarters which had a fairly rustic/low budget flair. Nothing wrong with it, it works. Who's going to complain for that money.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice country park-hotel in wonderful dark forest with really perfect services and nature.
7.0 Good
Pros: Location and the layout of the hotel.
Cons: Annex rooms are bit run down. There is no one in the night at reception or security as we had an incident with a drunk man going around in the Annex rooms lobby and creating tension at mid-night.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Big park in front of the hotel. We supposed to stay in a building next door but the moved us in the main building. Great breakfast , very nice cut fruit ( papaya, mango... ) :)
Cons: All was fine!
5.8 Okay
Pros: The property was very good as situated inside dense forest. Big nice one. Breakfast was good.
Cons: The staff was not as expected. She was completely confused. As we had small children, we requested for rooms in the main building, otherwise walking will be too much. She said they would charge more around 30 Euros. And we agreed with disappointment. And she showed us very small backside rooms, we came to the reception and requested for a bigger and proper room. She gave the key and after we confirmed, she immediately said she would charge 40 Euros, as her manager instructed her to take that. It was dark evening and we had to request her again and again why sudden change and not to do so. Finally, she gave us 5 Euros discount. This is absolute nonsense. There was no hot kettle in the room and the lights were not initially getting switched on. The property was very good, but considering all these, we were very disheartened.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was OK. A lot of variation. Excellent for group travel + non-youth people. Enough parking places.
Cons: Room temperature in the breakfast was to high.
6.3 Good
Pros: Parking is ample. Breakfast was good. The staff was considerate, helpful and friendly.
Cons: There are several buildings apart from the main building. It is a campus setup that must have been magnificent in its heyday (probably the 1980s). Now it is a bit rundown and needs some cosmetic work and renovation. The first night we were put in an outbuilding about 150 meters from the main building (keep this in mind if you want to use the sauna - you will have to walk across a gravel parking lot to get to the wellness facility). The room smelled strongly of cat urine or dog or body odor or something. It was either in the curtains or the carpet. There was no extra room available, so we had to suffer with this the first night (room 755 I believe). The staff was friendly and moved us the second night, down the hall, and the room didn't stink. The hotel appears to be in ongoing renovation, for example the shower and beds are new, but some things are old, like the carpet. The playground, for example, had some spring-riding toys that looked unsafe due to rust and age. The outdoor chess set was missing pieces. It is a magnificent setting, and I hope the owners are able to restore what must have been a magnificent hotel in better days. For what we paid, the hotel didn't meet expectations. I would have been ok with the quality had the price been more reasonable. The smelly room was unacceptable, it was really horrendous, and something I've never experienced in many years of travel.
