Warm welcome, well furnished, comfortable room and lounge and with excellent breakfast None
High standard of 'furnishings and fittings'. Beautiful house. Very friendly, polite and welcoming hosts. Could not be more helpful. None
I felt very relaxed and comfortable as hotel was very homely with a very warm welcome. Will definitely stay again! The food was first class with more than plenty to eat. No.
The stunning views from our room and the fresh kippers for breakfast Nothing - great value for money
Beautiful views, great breakfast, very convenient location.
Shower did not work at all, very small room for the price. Not happy with the breakfast
The owner welcomed me at the door and made me feel very comfortable about staying in their Guest House. The bedroom was large and had new sheets and fluffy towels with shampoo and shower gel dispensers. The shower was a good size, and the tea making facilities were welcome. The breakfast choices suited all tastes and were cooked to order by an excellent chef.
the friendliness of the staff n/a
Good location, Clean, friendly owners, Good breakfast choices. No private facilities in our room.
Good hospitality, comfortable room, a nice breakfast in a room with a fine view of the harbour. This was a friendly establishment where we couldn't find any reason to complain.
A beautiful view to the sea from the lounge; the full Scottish breakfast was freshly and carefully prepared. There should be some more written advice about the ins and outs of technical devices (heating, internet), sometimes differing from continental standards.
the view! the 'intimate' nature of breakfast dining......but not a serious problem!
Helpful staff, clean room, excellent value for money No parking
Not much, I'm afraid. Easy parking, The room was clean and contained a fridge and microwave which might be useful but we didn't use it. No proper reception. Nowhere to get a drink arriving at seven o'clock in the evening.
the room was clean and big. It was a great price. no bar and the breakfast was very average
no recepion when we arrived had o phonesomeone to get into our room
This is a very basic hotel with no bar, lounge or restaurant, but it had a small dining room for breakfast. My room was clean and tidy, good-sized, with en-suite shower, TV, fridge and microwave. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is situated within easy walking distance of the town's amenites. A good value for money hotel, just don't expect any frills.
Very central and close to rail station. Reception area was not very friendly. First impressions was not good at all, actually we though to cancel and to go to the SeaMill Hydro.
we stayed in the family room, which was very well equipt and would highly recommend this b&b to a friend.
Fridge and microwave were good. Beds were quite comfy. Good tv and lots of videos to choose from. The very cheapest of cheapest of food was used for the breakfast. The cornflake container had Kellogs crunchy nut on the side. They were not Kellogs. Some cheap cornflakes that were awful. The sash window in our room was propped open with a video cassette. The over mirror light in the bathroom was not working. The toilet had no lid to it. The towels were dreadful. Threadbare and small. I have used better as a floor cloth. The electrics were scary: lots of extension leads. We arrived on Sunday and we were given the wrong code to get in. Cost us 2 phone calls. No teaspoons to make a drink with. Had to use our own and then on the last night these were taken away and replaced. I had to speak to someone about taking the spoons in case we were accused of theft.
Having a fridge in the room for nice cold drinks and keeping fresh milk etc. and the free video library, unusual and very handy for the rainy west coast of Scotland. No bath, but I can live without it for the odd night.
This family run B&B style country house was a thoroughly enjoyable experience with extremely friendly staff who did everything to make our visit a pleasant one. We could find no faults at all and would definitely come back. All our needs were catered for, we were very lucky to find such a great place.
Staff were lovely, very helpful. Staff went above and beyond what I would call 'the call of duty'. We stayed for a wedding and was in a rush getting changed, hence we left a bit of a mess. Our room was clean and tidy when we arrived back late in the evening. Was very unexpected but much appreciated. Children under 14's are not allowed. However, I fully appreciate and support this idea due to the fact that there have been some families that just don't respect the property or appreciate the hard work that goes into running a B&B
Everyone was very welcoming and helpful. Overall a very friendly atmosphere.
The scottish hospitality. The owner was very friendly and obliging. couldnt be more helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable, fresh towels every day.Light refreshments were left for us in our room every day. A real home from home.
The owner of the Lodge could not do enough for you. After a long journey she was happy to provide a glass of wine and a snack. Very helpful and would highly recommend this place to all my friends Finding the place was difficult as the Sat Nav took us to a different address. Make sure you put in the name of the road. We rang for derections and the ower was again very helpful
the staff was really sympathic and helpfull
Friendly, informal, lovely bright airy spacious rooms. Hostess attended to our needs without being overbearing.
It was very difficult to find it, address is not clear, no indication on the road.
Very friendly, helpfull, knowledge of the area was good could,nt be any more helpfull.room was very clean, truely recomend personaly would prefer ensuite but hotelier and the large private shower and bathroom made up for this.
Made to feel very welcome. Very convenient for Ayrshire coast, getting up to Glasgow.
