Hotels near Shimla airport

Pros: The hotel is in a beautiful location. We had taken rooms with mountain view and it was worth it. The rooms are also spacious and clean. Loved the stay here :)

Cons: The Indian breakfast was good but the continental menu didn't meet our expectations. The buffet dinner was also pretty good but we felt it was a bit pricey for the options offered. However the view from the restaurant was amazing.

Pros: The hotel is at a very good place and the location makes it way better and easier to go around , the staff is also very nice and frndly

Cons: The rooms are very smal and in the cold the heatr wasn’t workin in the room

Pros: Rooms are very clean and nice. Food is excellent, staff are kind and friendly. Whole experience in staying with The Zion is excellent and keen to come back soon again. This property have kids play area as well and this is really helpful.

Pros: We never asked for anything, they provide everything on time, service was amazing. Superb Location, view from hotel can amaze anyone. Was a fantastic stayed in The Zion

Cons: had booked a room for 3 adults but the room allotted was very small for 3 adults and so we had to book another room for 1 person

Pros: The hotel location is very convenient such that it's not too far from the mall (15 min drive) yet it's in a very quiet location. The views from the hotel are breath-taking. Rooms were very comfortable and the breakfast provided is superb too. We had a very good stay, overall. Highly recommended.

Pros: Front desk staff is good & polite.House keeping staff is also good.I must appriciate house keeping staaf BHIM.Spa centre is also good.Staff there gives their best to clients.

Cons: One has to request for very basic necessities like DENTAL KIT,SHAVING KIT,SHAMPOO,COMB.They provide only one hand towel for two person.All time dining service has to improved.We were made to wait for more than one hour for our snacks order .We did not have any choice but to cancel the order & go to the local market ,at a distance of 4 KM to have food. Staff in the Breakfast section need to learn to serve with a smile on the face.

Cons: Room size, room options and most important partiality in guest and members. Rates, rooms , everything is very much partial for members and guests.

Cons: service is very poor and the staff is highly incompetent. room service does not know how to manage the guest. since the resort is slightly away from city the room service deny for every little general things.

Cons: ON THE SECOND DAY OF OUR STAY,WE WENT OUTSIDE AND PUT A REQUEST FOR CLEANING OF ROOM. WHEN WE CAME BACK ROOM WAS NEAT AND CLEAN BUT THE THING I DIDN'T LIKE WAS BEDSHEET WAS NOT CHANGED IT WAS THE SAME AS OF PREVIOUS DAY AND STAFF DIDN'T PLACE BOUFFANT CAP IN BATHROOM AND I BOOKED A SUPERIOR DOUBLE ROOM BUT WHEN I GO THROUGH MY BILL IT WAS MENTIONED JUNIOR SUITE ON ROOM TYPE( THOUGH I WAS HAPPY WITH THE ROOM GIVEN)

Pros: the staff were hapless but nice.

Cons: the room service food was really revolting and expensive. we were charged to entertain the kids at their hotel kids centre. they put us in dank rooms miles from the reception, with no view at all, even though we were with 2 toddlers and staying for one night only.

Pros: Everything from the location, polite staff, personal and immediate attention to requests, guidance on various queries, food, the aura of peace and quiet throughout the resort. Many thanks to the staff for making our stay comfortable! Would definitely visit this property and others by Aamod. Thank you all!

Pros: Breakfast was good. Location was great. Ample nature walks within the property itself.

Cons: The hotel tried to force us a compulsory gala night dinner for 31st at Rs 8,000 for a couple. On constant complaint about this not being transparent while booking, they finally allowed for us not to pay for it. However, no other dinner options were made available at the hotel for that night. We did manage, but this was quite absurd to be forced upon. Food portions kept changing everyday. Items which were given one day weren't available the next day.

Pros: Awesome property in the amidst of forest. Beautiful made independent cottages of different categories. Must visit if you are an nature freak to experience the best forest experience. Interior of the cottages are good with all the basic amenities one would require. Food options are plenty and they are tastiest. Must try their local specialities. Staff is really good and professional.

Pros: The room was very nice and there was a great view from the window. The bed was big and comfortable and the shower was nice and warm. The breakfast had mostly Indian food which we really liked. The staff allowed us to have a later check out and they helped us to get on the right bus to go to Kalka. We appreciated their help. There is a bus stand outside the hotel that is not featured on Google maps. There are buses that go to Shimla.

Cons: The bed linen was clean but had stains and holes. The restaurant was very cold. Everybody ate breakfast with a jacket on. On the first night, we had to have dinner in our room as it was too cold in the restaurant. The WiFi was included in the price we paid but did not get given the login details upon check-in. When we asked for it, the staff said that it was not working. That was disappointing. The hotel is a few kilometres away from Shimla so not all taxi drivers are happy to come here.

Pros: Terrible experice. Hotel was dirty and disgusting. We arrived at midnight and a room was extremely dirty the floor, all carpet and the bed sheet full of dark dots. We had tó wait more than 3 hours to have a rest in the room. The restaurant and the terrace also full of waste. I never reccomend anyone.

Cons: Location is about 4km from town centre with taxi's being annoying to catch. Wifi was very patchy.

Pros: Loved the cottage to start with! The entire location and the view and the facilities, like they provided breakfast and dinner to us! That was awesome, its one of the best places I have stayed in, the only issue with this was, they did not provide heater to the room ( which was a basic req) and was on paid basis if we need,also we were 4 people with a duplex cottage , 2 extra blankets were provided and even when we asked for 2 more , they did not give it. This policy need to change , taking in consideration that the rooms are quite expensive. But other than this part , everything was smooth and very very good!

Pros: Nice view. Free upgrade to a room with view. The staff guy that dealt with us was very very friendly. The bed is comfortable, and the shower is hot.

Cons: Get a cup of coffee and sit back for this piece of high-end journalism you are about to read. Even though the bed looked nice, as well as the bathroom, the stains in the sheets and the hair in the sink was a bit of a, let's say, let-down. But, we were satisfied just having a decent place. We had a small dinner (fries and a naan), and so far it was okay. Then, around 11 in the evening, enter four tourist buses. Now first of all: I understand that guests don't necessarily reflect the hotel or whatever. But the noise coming from this group of people (I am still not sure wether they were with 10 or 1000) was just unbelievable. First you could hear them downstairs along with the music from the buses. Then, they were coming upstairs with their seemingly infinite amount of luggage and the loudest slippers you could dream of. Yelling, shouting, you name it. Then the door-slamming began. At this point I thought: what if it's the construction crew breaking this place down, and we are the last lucky ones to stay there? Alas, as I opened up the door of our room, half-asleep, I saw a bunch of people frantically trying to win a contest of "open-hotel-door-as-often-as-possible-while-slamming-it-as-hard-as-possible". When I asked them about their motivation for pursuing such an activity, they said that the doors weren't opening (even though you can't slam a door without opening it first) and that they were changing rooms. This definitvely means that the staff was aware. This fact is of course the point of critique. I understand and accept noise coming from customers checking in late. We oftentimes check in late.

Cons: The entrance areas are under repair. Not welcoming therefore. There was the stench of sewage in the corridor and toilets. Some blocked drainage perhaps. Rooms are rather small and poorly fitted out. Notice the set top box for the TV precariously placed with wires dangling in the photo. Mattresses etc stacked in common corridor area.

Pros: Only the parking facility and view from room which was good.

Cons: No evening service, breakfast was awful and limited options that too cold. They charge additional for heater keeping in mind it's a hill resort and if this is the case then they should levy surcharge on use of fan also during summers. Room size is very small. Breakfast is very bad.

Cons: I was thinking was a resort but it turned it out be just a building.The rooms were ok !! I think , I would have got the better place at teh same price
