Hospitality. Feel at home. Pierre was really helpful in planning our tours or otherwise. Amma is a real good cook and tried to give us best gluten free vegetarian.
The hospitality is second to none. Breakfast one of the best ever, and dinner is a treat. A perfect place to spend a few days in Tuscany.
Everything was perfect.
Great location, very close to Siena! Excellent breakfast! Paul, the owner, was very helpful!
Wish we had time to try a meal prepared by Paul's mother.
We stayed here for the first stop on our honeymoon in late May. It was the perfect way to start our trip--the hospitality, the food, the beautiful location--it was all such a lovely experience. We found everything to our liking--a comfortable bed and large bedroom, quiet surroundings, a well-stocked bathroom with good water pressure and temperature, and a nice balance of personal attention from the hosts but plenty of space to enjoy ourselves. Pierre went out of his way to make our stay special--he and his family are some of the nicest people you’ll meet. They helped make restaurant recommendations for us in Siena and even made some calls on our behalf due to our limited Italian-speaking to set up dining reservations and taxis. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the food. Mama made everything from scratch, and much with local ingredients from their farm. We were greeted each morning with a sizable breakfast with freshly baked pastries, delicious beverages, and fresh fruits and vegetables. My husband is a celiac and must eat gluten-free, and somehow Mama managed to make incredible gluten free pastries, muffins, etc--the most delicious gluten-free baked goods we’ve had. It had us referring to it all throughout our subsequent visit across Italy, remarking wherever we ate, “Pierre and Mama would’ve made this better.” We opted for dinner there one evening and were not disappointed. Homemade (gluten-free) ravioli, game hen from the farm, delicious cheeses, fine wine, fresh salad, followed by home-made gelato and strawberries. We’d definitely recommend dining for dinner there at least once. Another perk is that there are 2 dining/living room areas, so even if there are other guests there, each has their own place for dining and lounging. Our 3 days at Tenuta La Santissima were a relaxing retreat, gastronomic delight, and a wonderfully welcoming authentically Italian experience.
