The history and the view from the roof top
No. Every thing was great.
It was very clean and comfortable but yet still had historic charm.
This hotel is clean! It is in a great location. Great Historic place. Would love to stay in the summer after a day at Rainbow Pools!!
The Sonora Inn was originally built in 1896 and was remodeled in the 1920s to the California Mission style which is still seen today. The hotel has been recently remodeled and continues to stay modern with amenities such as a 3rd-story rooftop pool with a view of the Sierra Nevada mountains, meeting rooms, and free WiFi throughout.
Rooms in the Sonora Inn reflect the Victorian designs of a bygone era in calm and muted colors and rich accents. All rooms are non-smoking and offer air conditioning, a refrigerator, and a microwave. Guests feel more at home with amenities like Cable TV, a coffee maker, and free local telephone calls in their rooms. Connecting rooms are available upon request for families or large groups.
Guests of the Sonora Inn can enjoy a complimentary Continental breakfast and nearly 2 dozen restaurants within walking distance. American, Italian, Japanese, Chinese, Thai, Mexican, and International specialty restaurants are readily available.
The Sonora Inn is close to several beautiful natural getaways such as Yosemite National Park, Columbia State Historic Park, Dodge Ridge Ski Area, and Don Pedro Lake. Guests might also enjoy the Veterans Memorial Hall and Military Museum, Tuolumne County Museum, Railtown 1897 State History Park, or the Seven Sisters Soap and Candle Company. There are also opportunities for golf, white water rafting, fishing, shopping, and gambling.
