My room was on ground floor but lovely and very welcoming
My room near kitchen but ppl smoking in car park and I can smell it I don’t like to complain but I don’t smoke and it’s not a thing I like to smell in my room
Room was large and well equipped. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast great.
Whilst the room was large and airy something needs to be done about the very creaky floor between the bedroom and bathroom. We could hear the people in the next room speaking and they also had the same creaky floor. The bath panel was broken and in a dangerous condition with sharp plastic left exposed. Needs urgent attention. No plug for the sink.
Friendly staff. Room and ensuite clean ands beds quite comfortable.
Room was like a sauna. Small fan only recirculated the warm air. Cooked breakfast reasonably good but more choice needed or fresh fruit. A mirror in the bedroom where you could see to dry your hair would have been nice.
The double room we requested was stifling hot we even brought our own fan as read review it might be hot. It was too hot so we asked to move . The only room left was a twin which was a little better but we had 3 fans going and it wasn’t even a very hot weekend . Was warm. They offered £15 off the price after I asked.
This place was lovely for our overnight stay prior to departure from Port of Southampton for a cruise. The fact that 14 nights parking was also available was a great added bonus as it meant we could just leave our car in the CCTV monitored car park and get a taxi for a short ride into the port which cost under £10. The staff were all exceptionally friendly and helpful too. The room was very spacious and beds were comfy. Breakfast was lovely although we had to wait a good 25 minutes before there was room for us at a table in the restaurant, but they had had a large party in for a celebration the night before so I think we just hit breakfast at the wrong time. Would definitely stay here again - a good friendly family run Hotel and perfect if you need an overnight stay if you off on a cruise as not too far from port but far enough out of main Centre to have a quiet stay.
Bigger car park or less trees, so we didn't have to park under the trees as when we came back from our cruise our car was covered in sap and wasps!
