Very clean. Soap doesn't lather. Cafe was never open. Proprieter was very helpful and friendly. The dock was a nice place to watch the sunset. Had coffeemaker, refrigerator (froze everything), microwave. Very quiet, never heard anything after dark.
The lake was somewhat nice...location, quiet. I really (REALLY) needed WiFi...they claimed to have 'FREE WiFi' - neither I nor the guests around me could connect..
The rooms were small, but very clean and very quiet. Good bed. Tbe owner/manager and his staff were very helpful and friendly. It was a refreshing getaway, sitting in adirondak chairs on the lakefront dock, watching the ducks and sandhill cranes.
It was close to where I was visiting. For the price I paid and the fact that 'cafe' is in the name, I expected some kind of continental breakfast. Not only was there no breakfast option, there was no cafe! They shouldn't call it Lakeside Inn and Cafe! The free wifi was pointlessly slow.
Nice large pools near reception area Lazy river very overcrowded and inconvenient bracelet requirement. Nickel and dime policy
Loved the lazy river but had to rent the rubes to use in it. Many activities but had to pay for everything. Checked in and SOMEONE WAS IN OUR ROOM! Reported it and was told it was house keeping taking their break! Awful customer service, handled it poorly. No follow up from hotel yet and we checked out yesterday.
We loved the room, swimming pool, staff we just enjoyed everything
Love holiday Inn very inclusive, great atmosphere for kids and adults it's a resort you can grow into we just got married and had a wonderful honeymoon we didnt ever want to leave and are coming back for my birthday! How shallow the lazy river is
the location of my apartment was perfect. My children loved the placeI We loved the king bed very comfortable. Decoration is excellent good taste! I stayed for only two nights I have no complaints
I loved every thing about this place! Best value for your money hands down!
This is the second time we've been to the resort and we love it! Great location and nice grounds. This will be resort of choice for our Disney vacations. Great value! Food at the Breeze's was not good.
Loved the layout of the villa. Very nicely decorated and we were close to one of the smaller pools. The week we stayed there were no crowds to speak of so no issues there. We spent most of our time at Disney but it was great to be able to cook an spread out while in the room. The 2 bedrooms are spacious and perfect for a family. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The grounds are huge! When I stay there again, I would definitely try to use more of the features available. There is an upcharge to use the area with slides and some of the features. The staff checking us in (we encountered anyway) although very professional, was not especially friendly. One of the women at the reception desk would not smile no matter how hard we tried! Maybe she was just having bad day. We had a split stay so we actually stayed in two different rooms. The second one had a musty smell in the bathroom. All of this is rather picky because the place is actually really beautiful and comfortable. But it kept me from giving the 5 stars.
I really like the hotel with all the facilities they have we really enjoyed it I stayed there for a week but they didn't offer housekeeping when I asked for it they told me it's gonna cost you $60 this is really upset am not paying a cheab price fir the hotel to charge mr extra for housekeeping
Pool was nice. Room was fine. Probably would have been OK to visit as a family but as a couple with some friends it was not ideal. Front desk extremely nice and helpful. Had to pay to use a float at the pool even if you found one just floating around. Couldn't have your drink in a plastic cup at the edge of the pool. Horrible housekeeping staff knocked on our door before 9am and basically told us to leave. No extra towels as I had requested. Had to call 2 times to get them as well as the sheets for couch bed. Breezes restaurant on site had horribly slow service. Misinformed server. Very difficult to find our room.
Lazy river pool for children Lots of good recreational opportunities for young children Villas well equipped and peasant for family living Staff very responsive Facilities well maintained children's programmes often cancelled or not good paying $ 5 to see a Gatorland promotion high sales orientation after you left the front desk.
We stayed there two different times in one week. We were heading to Key West so we stayed there on Saturday just to take a break from driving. The place was very nice fast check in. We stayed in the building were you checked in. Studio Suite I forget the room number, but when we all got up in the morning we notice roaches in and around water areas like the sink and showers. My father, and I told the staff right away. We had to leave that morning for the Keys so to make sure we did not have any bugs in are stuff we had to go get everything washed. I would have like the staff to do something for else, but all they did was to ensure us that someone was going to look at the room. The Two Bedroom Villa was much better. We would stay in that room Bugs in are room.
Staff was very attentive. Property was beautiful. Rooms were perfect and the pool is amazing. Extremely overpriced. Resort fees are $20 per day and self parking is $18.00 per day. Resturants are also overpriced. Presentation is beautiful but quality is poor. The $168.00 meal for two at Old Hickory Steakhouse was by far the worst cut of meat we have ever eaten. The side of mushrooms were cold and a hard texture. The wine was the only plus.
We loved the environment and the friendliness/ helpfulness of the staff there.Thank you. We had a fabulous time. No
Nice hotel, nice pool Steakhouse inside was very over priced. Thought it would be more of a family like hotel, but is definitely intended for business.
The unique experience of the hotel. It is unlike any other hotel in Florida. The cheerleaders. I had no idea they would be staying at the hotel. It was like staying in a dormatory. Doors slamming all night long.
It's a gorgeous hotel! I had 3 young girls with me who thought it was "so cool". Each time I stay and try to use the internet, it never works.
Awesome pool for kids, the steak house, the gators, transportation for Disney overall all the facilities
The fact that you have to pay for parking even though you are staying there
very clean price, too expensive
The resort was beautiful and with the Observatory type enclosure over all the hotel, restaurants, shops and convention center any rain or bad weather was a non issue. The resort fee for free water, electronic paper and gymnasium use should have been optional not mandatory.
Swimming pool area Alcoholic beverage preparation not so good at pool area!!!
I was with teen age male grandchildren ,our interests were the Game room, the weight room, the pool and room service, as well as walking the grounds.and a little shopping.....We went to Epcot one day and the bus service was great , including a fun female busdriver on our return back to the hotel There always seemed to be a tax or add on and then another for the city, hotel, conferance center etc.,Also I fell off the treadmill and sustained many bruises an abraision and a couple minor cuts, louckily I had no fractures ...I did not want to fill out papers as it was the 1st day of vacation andf I could walk ok....However looking back I think I should have been introduced to the tredmill, it was going so slow, I made a mistake and put in a pulse of 84 which is not high and I thought it would give me an idea of where I should go from there...anyway it kept moving faster and faster I could not keep up and I could not reach the stop bottom because I was too far back on the machine ...I ran and ran and finally fell off.......Apparently I w
I used their spa facility to get a massage. The staff were very friendly, however my massage was mediocre.
Think I got bit by bed bugs.
We couldn't have done better for $60/night. Only a few miles from Disney. Three pools with a hot tub, one covered for rainy days, playground, beautiful nature walk, nice and clean lobby with lounge and restaurant, good breakfast (worth the $10 w/ tax) clean room with no problems, friendly staff, night poolside family movie One and only complaint is the room came with a single serving of coffee, think Keurig for one. No charge for extra servings, but spent a lot of time chasing them down over 4 nights. One night the front desk was out and was supposed to have some sent to my room but it never arrived.
The price of $35 a night for labor weekend was a good value. Covered pool was great for Florida rain showers and heated to 100 degrees. Just make sure your kids keep the water out of their mouth as its recirculated water and not the cleanest. Check in was pleasant. Watch out for time share trap after you check in they will attack you! No maid service. Couldn't get room cleaned or new towels for nothing. Except check out day when they harassed you from 7am to 11am wanting to clean the room before check time. Rooms were dated Dressers disgusting, we kept our clothes in our luggage. The beds were very comfortable. People complained about bugs but jeez it's Florida we have bugs, even in the nicest cleanest homes. Beware of time share desk at front lobby. Called front desk several times about no maid service they said they would send someone but no one ever came (until check out day).
Nice person at desk. The place is in need of repair. The toilet paper holder was falling out of the wall. Generally shabby. Didn't want to touch anything. Looked like the sheets weren't washed. Yuck.
It was inexpensive and relatively close to Disney. The walls were not insulated and we could hear children in next room. The cable TV signal was weak or the TV itself had a bad display and it made Monday Night Football almost unwatchable.
We came for 3 days to visit Disney parks, which is a 15 minute drive from Champions. The area is surrounded by shopping and dining! The grounds had something for everyone! an arcade for the kids, 3 pools, a romantic lakeside firepit, basketball, baseball and volleyball.. they even showed a movie our first night at the pool. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was beyond amazing. My 10 year old left a box of her collectable toys in a drawer when we checked out and housekeeping found it and set it aside for us to pick up a few days later. My brother and his family stayed down the street at Clarion in an identical room with no activities on site and paid DOUBLE what we did.. But they had free breakfast included. I will still come back to Champions, and just have bfast at mcdnalds $10/person breakfast buffet (which we had our first morning) NOT worth that price Other hotels in the area offer FREE
Location was OK. From the beginning there was a bad smell on the hotel. The room was not very clean. Horrible bed with a lot of noises every time I moved. Filthy bathroom. Toilet not working. Has to call more the 2 times for maintence to come and check the toilet. Safe was locked before with got in. I had to stay 1 more night but they wanted to charge almost over twice as I paid with Kayak.
Kid friendly and close to everything.
Location and price and grounds appearance Resort fee 7 dollars a day old facility and overall upkeep
Location Hard bed . Musty smell, staying near Disney no Disney channels. 10 channels.
it was pretty cheap for being right outside of Disney. There are plenty of restaurants and food stores nearby. The pools were nice and they do a family friendly movie in the indoor pool at night. Their nature park was cute to walk around They spent a lot of their money on the nature park.. which is nice but they should invest in deep cleaning the rooms. They definitely cleaned every day but the bathroom had some rusty/mildew spots.the sheets had a low thread count and we were very itchy. Outlets were hard to find which is an issue in this electronic age
There was one assistant manager who was very good. He at least made an effort. Many other staff were very nice. Kind of feel bad because not sure how long the hotel can stay in business with the bandaid repairs they're making. First room = no internet. Assigned to second room, still no internet. Said they were working on it. Four days of working on it with no results. Furniture, fixtures, and equipment falling apart and general wear and tear was unacceptable. Priced very low, but you don't even get what you paid for. At checkout informed manager again about internet and she did nothing to reduce the bill.
It was a great place to stay. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were very nice. It was a beautiful property and the lagoon was great. I wish the lagoon was open later than 7pm. By the time we got back from doing anything, it was closed. It rained one day and everything closed down. There wasn't anything to do there on a rain day.
Very spacious condos, plenty amenities including in the cost& resort fee. The children had an amazing time and so did I. Very relaxing and enjoyable. I didn't like having to leave to go home.
This property is wonderful for families with kids. The pool was great. I was happy to see the pool lounge/bar being renovated and will have to plan another trip to see the finished product. We had two separate reservations and was told we could combine in order to not have to change rooms. The elevator was out of service in our building and, because of this, we chose to change rooms. Had the elevator been functioning properly we would not have needed to move.
The kids love the water park. It's great for your money. It have enough on the resort that you don't have to leave. We really enjoyed our stay! !!!
This place is actually quite nice. The amenities are great, the staff is easygoing and helpful, and the rooms are a good size. My room had hair still stick to she shower walls and on the tub. Not a lot, mind you, but enough to notice. A doshtowel that had fallen between the counter and stove was overlooked by the cleaning crew, and looked dingy enough, I chose not to retrieve it, and walking through the living room barefoot, I got a couple of small glass shards stuck in my foot. For me, it's not enough to say "hey i need money off", but its enough to at least leave a review so the hotel and other customers know what to expect. Honestly, I'll likely be back, AND bring my family... just think the cleaning crew needs to be more detail oriented.
Loved the rooms, so much space and a full kitchen with 2 bathrooms. This is the perfect spot for a nice family vacation. Not only do they have the water park, also paddle boats, shuffle board, mini golf, basketball, four seater bikes plus more, and everything is free!!! So much fun, we will def be back very soon!!! Nothing, it was perfect
The condos were really nice. Freshly updated. Service was great. Nothing.
My new husband and I enjoyed our wedding night/ weekend at the resort. Didnt check in til 12am, so we went straight to bed. The rooms were very nice, and equipped with a nice comfy king sized bed. The jacuzzi tub was great for a romantic bath for us newlyweds. The weekend was very hectic for us, so unfortunately we did not get to experience what the resort had to offer. The pool looked great from a distance, and we heard the laughter of children having fun. The tiki bar looked nice as well for the adults. Would definitely recommend this resort for couples or families. Close to the main road of 192 (we live in st cloud), but the resort is off the road to not here traffic. So close to disney, so everyone can enjoy the parks. Got this resort of Kayak for a deal, and definitely worth it! The pool/ entertainment was surrounded by a few buildings
Waterpark for kids Tiki bar to stay open after hrs for adults Access to different buildings
Water park for the kids. Nice room. Waiting for elevator. 10am check out.
I like liki tiki because was clean and have a lil water park, my 4 year old have a great time The bed was very small
I liked the feeling of open space and not too crowded. It was quiet and felt safe. I felt that there could have been more pools nearer to our accommodation but I understand that this was a project in the future. I thought that the food and drinks were too expensive and would have benefited from an on-site coffee shop
The spa was amazing. Seriously, one of the best massages I've ever had. It was pricy, but worth it. It is also really nice to find a place that has a 3 bedroom option, and I like that the pools were close to the rooms. The location was nice. The steakhouse on the top floor was pretty and the food was very good. The rooms themselves were dated and there was a hum coming out of the air register. Honestly, the rooms were fine, but I would in no way consider them 5 star accommodations and I don't think you should go there expecting anything more than clean and comfortable. Room service was very expensive and the hidden fees were not well explained. They agreed to 'try to accommodate' an early check-in, but the room was not ready until 3 and I don't think anyone else's room was ready early, either. They should just say 'no early check-ins' if they cannot really make it happen. We called several times over our 3 day stay to request a shuttle and sometimes no one answered and we'd have to call back repeatedly.
The view from the rooms is beautiful. The suites are spacious and fully equipt with all we needed. Excellent service and accomodation. My family and I had a very pleasent stay .Thank you
We had to wait for a lot of things. It was like they were understaffed.
Great location for golfers, great courses.
I Litlle bit expensive but great acomodations.Very quiet and confortable!!!
Clubhouse was nice, but small. Rooms are large and clean. Property is well kept. A bit confusing since multiple resorts are at one location? Wait time to check in was a bit long. The steakhouse restaurant was entirely booked for a private gathering so we went to the Italian restaurant instead. Food was way overpriced for what was offered. Steak was chewy and underdone when first brought out. Thirty eight dollars for a steak that you could get at The Golden Corral was a bit excessive (IMO). The room was OK, very clean and roomy, but one of the toilets was not working, an electrical outlet cover was cracked in the main living room, and the televisions were tube televisions that I have not seen for maybe 7 or 8 years (really? in 2017??) with very poor reception in all but one. I have stayed at Salamander in VA and this place is not even close to that level of luxury. If Salamander is 5 stasr this resort is a mid 3 (at best).
It was unbelievably expensive! Not what I would call value for money. I come from a country that is expensive to live in but Reunion resorts prices shocked me, while the food provided was lovely it was far too expensive. There was dog faeces outside out door on the steps for 6 days without being removed. One of the bar staff in the pavillion were quite rude to my children aswell. I stayed here last year aswell and have recommended it to manyhowever I shall not be doing the same this year. The kids crew provided last year were fantastic however this year was boring for the chilren with nothing to amuse them except colouring in bags.Very disappointing!
Fantastic Fcilities, spacious appartment, only 15 minutes to Disney. Waterpark and Golf to relax from the parks
Services, worm welcome, family place, entrtainement No
Beautiful appartment, it was like home, very nice
Everything was absolutely fantastic, huge rooms, best waterpark for the kids on site, staff brilliant
When checking in I was charged an additional fee.
Friendliness of front desk staff and cleanliness of the room
Rooms are clean, location is great 5 bar wifi signal in room. never able to connect for data. staff said was in a "dead zone" for a fee could upgrade my room for wifi. breakfast was bagels and juice/coffee only
The rooms were clean, comfortable and for a great price! Would have liked to see a few more "hot" offering for breakfast and the outlets in our room did not work properly for some of our devices.
Everything was clean the staff super friendly, they gave me complimentary late check out to their already later than average checkout. Mattress were uncomfortable and the continental breakfast only consisted of bagels and beverages but overall a good deal for the price.
Location Feels kind of insecure Breakfast is terrible
The bathroom shower was clogged. When I arrived the TV was on. I turned it off and it would not turn up again. I told this to the manta the check out and he did not say anything.
If you plan to visit Disney World and Universal for whole day and gonna stay here only for night then it is good. Close to eateries and WDW and Universal
That it was quiet and the staff was very friendly. I saw a Roach as soon as I checked in my room.
Location was good. Pool was super clean and huge. Beds hard as hell. Carpets sticky and nasty Room smelled horrible
Proximity to Disney. If this is the only way for you to go, I guess it's an option, we were just passing through - but I really think staying in this dump would ruin the rest of your Disney experience. Bugs. Smells terrible. Sketchy people. Not enough parking. I think I've seen this place on "COPS"
The value for the money was quite good. I appreciated the pool area, and it was nice to have breakfast included. The breakfast was nothing special, but at such a low rate you really can't complain. The views from the rooms that face the parking lot are rather depressing.
Run down and sketchy at night.
Refrig must have had a leak as the floor was wet infront of it. Bath room mirror was damaged. Rugs were worn. Property needs a serious update.
The pools lacation to main attractions
Nice pools, convenient to everything, restaurant on site Breakfast not included
Pool enjoyable and convenient, staff very friendly and Helpful. Difficult to recognize main entrance.
There's a pool onsite and when we walked into our room, the towels looked extremely clean - bright white. Most of the staff were friendly, except the people in the sub shop there across from reception/registration Thought this hotel was closer to the airport than it actually was, but it was still 20 mins w/o traffic. Chose this one b/c we had an early morning flight and it was $85. You get what you pay for here, but assuming that the $35 hotel would have been the same. Just parking, you see people hanging out in the parking lot after 9pm which made me uncomfortable. Once you enter the building you see how old and run down this place is. Our room was okay, but then we saw the ants in the bathroom and them on the table in the room. I was ready to just get out of there. Thankfully we were there just to sleep and left VERY early. Spent less than 8 hours, which was more than needed. Stay away if you can. There are better hotels in the same price range and I'd pay more not to stay here
Beds were comfortable. Not as clean/kept up as I've liked.
Got bit by spiders during the night. Room smelled like mildew. Bathroom mirror needs replaced bathroom door knob did not function properly.
Our room was in great shape and the beds were very comfortable. The pool area is very attractive and it featured a water fall, water slide, and hot tubs. We had to park quite a distance from our room.
A/c unit was loud when it turned on
The water took forever to get hot in order to shower
Cleanliness of hotel was okay. Could use better upkeep
Pool; kitchen in suite; location; price; breakfast Our suite was roach infested, and to request a new suite. Staff never acknowledged our inconvenience or offered to help us move our stuff. Overall, didn't handle situation well.
I liked that when a problem did arrive the staff tried their best to make things okay. When we first got to the hotel we found many roaches in our room. When we told the staff they didn't seem phased by it like they already knew the problem was there. The beds were not clean, there were many different stains on the bed sheets. The breakfast wasn't good, and there wasn't much variety. I would say that if anyone would like a clean and get your money's worth hotel then do not go here because you will not enjoy yourselves here.
Nice centrally located hotel. Very nice pool. Good staff. Nice happy hour and free breakfast. Very happy with our stay. Nothing was unacceptable
Not a 4 or 5 star place but worth the price. We were looking for a clean comfortable suite and we found it there!
-Great value. -Clean, large suite that slept four comfortably. -Solid facility with plenty of amenities. -Employees were friendly and handled special requests adequately. Breakfast was just mediocre. Limited shuttle service time slots for major parks. For the money I'm shocked there even was a shuttle service or free breakfast as decent as the room was.
I was impressed with the rooms, they were very nice, also the breakfast was very good. what I did not like was that I had to leave.
The breakfast, pool, happy hour, location are ecxellent!!!! I was ask to leave the room, because according to them that was my check out date. I had to go down (in the middle of my shower) to show them the prooof thet I was leaving the following day. When I got downstairs they told me that I was right but, they had an attitude!! I paid 6 months earlier!!!!
What you would expect for the amount you will be spending carpet dirty
The pictures on-line falsely depict the facilities. It's a very dirty place. We checked, went to our room, and then immediately checked out and cancelled our reservations.
When I booked the resort there were not to be any additional fees. Upon arriving, the hotel said they don't even do business with Kayak and that I have to pay an additional $8.99/day. The place was very run down and the guests were allowed to just blare their music out by the pool which was filled with profanity and highly inappropriate for kids (which were present). The pool was extremely dirty and the breakfast is a joke. Toast and waffles and juice - all carbs. We also witnessed another guess getting arrested for keeping a pet in the vehicle where someone had to break the window. Two days later the resort still hadn't cleaned up the broken glass in the parking lot.
Close to Disneyland The breakfast was only white bread, Fruit Loops cereal, and oatmeal. Didn't appreciate the surprise extra "resort fee" of $18 for 2 nights when you arrive. Very run down place (sink knob falls off), no alarm clock.
Staff /Wifi The first room was very outdated and smelled of mildew .Very nosiy you could hear the workings running their carts in the morning, people talking outside your room ..No outlet ,no fig, no microwave, sink was falling out of the wall. BEWARE OF BUG-THE ROOM WAS FULL OF THEM!!!! WE FELT LIKE WE HAD BUGS ALL OVER OUR BODY'S. We ask to be changed to a different room which really wasn't any Bette!!!. Definitely needs some upgrading.
Facilities were kind of grody but our rooms were perfectly acceptable. The restaurant was convenient, even if it wasn't good. Was definitely only a 10 minute drive from Disney World. Spent an entire day with a door lock that didn't work and had to go to the front desk 4 different times to get somebody to let us in to the room. Restaurant was terrible. Facility was grody. Our bathroom light was busted and shodily put back into place, so that when I woke up to go to the bathroom one night it had fallen onto the bathroom floor. This would all be acceptable if the price was lower, but these rooms were actually not that cheap. Never booking here again.
Rude and didn't care that they overbooked rooms Dirty, bad odor and staff was rude
The staff is extremely friendly There are obvious signs all over the place that this Resort is dated. Just small things all over the place including the fact that the cable TV was not quality. You could barely see the channels and it was hooked up with a standard cable like back in the nineties and eighties
Front desk staff friendly and helpful. Booking.com very helpful with refund. Checked out a number of rooms, but couldn't stay in any of them...VERY MOLDY, MUSTY ODOR!!!! Our eyes stung just entering the rooms.
The staff were nice, and the location was pretty good. The free breakfast was the strangest I've ever seen, it was located in an Asian restaurant that was next to the lobby area. Fried rice, spaghetti, white bread for toast, and grills for frying eggs, with not much else.
The price Rooms smelled like wet carpet really bad
Pool, cleaning lady they nice No microwave refrigerator was not that cold room need paint job
Location,Ease of finding, price was okay Service was not the greatest. There was bugs and even a lizard in the bathroom
It was close to the parks. Convenient location. Staff at check in was EXTREMELY rude and unwelcoming. Beds were small and uncomfortable. Carpets were old and smelly. Walls are paper thin.
No jacuzzi as advertised. Majority of ice machines and vending machines were out of order. Definitely not a resort. Just a motel. No elevators. Room cleanliness wasn't that great. Most tv channels didn't work.
It is very close to the Disney area The firts day when we arrived the room was not ready to use. There were no towels, soap, shampoo, body lotion available for use. There was no telephone equipmen conected in the room
After a really long couple of days, I tried really hard to find something redeeming about this place but ended up having to pack up my kids and our stuff and find another hotel at 3:00 am. The fact that the place looked run down and dirty were disappointing but not acceptable given the price. The advertised free internet was out of order but again, not the end of the world. The fact that the room wouldn't get below the mid 80s was a problem. Four calls to the front desk brought a maintenance guy at around 1:00am. At 1:30, he installed a different A/C unit but by 2:30, all of us were still lying wide awake sweating and the room wasn't getting any cooler. I again called the front desk to ask to be relocated to another room and the night auditor Christine was obviously furious that I had bothered her again and told me I had to pack up all of our stuff and come to the front desk. That is when we found that the food we had bought for breakfast was now infested with ants and spiders which explained the bites my daughter was complaining about. At that point, we couldn't stay on the property. ..my kids were extremely upset and wouldn't have been able to sleep so we went to the front desk and I politely asked that the charges be refunded given all of the problems. Christine was extremely annoyed and would only check us out but refused to refund anything. So at 3:30am, we were forced to find a new hotel and pay for the remainder of the night someplace else which was a HUGE improvement and worth the extra hundred dollars. I want to add that I have only hit on a small number of the issues wrong with this place. There was also the 'lake' which was more like a cess pool, the slippery slime trails the crossed the sidewalk in front of each rooms air conditioner, the phone I had to search for the cord for in order to call the front desk, the doors that all looked like they had been forced open repeatedly, the scratchy pillows and hard bed and one of the first big warning signs, the discount ticket/hard sell timeshare booth in the lobby...all of which I would have been willing to overlook if I had just been able to get a few hours sleep in a room that wasn't 85 degrees...and full of ants, spiders and whatever bugs were biting the only parts of our bodies we could put under any covers. The fact that the night manager was so shockingly rude and refused to do anything but check out a dad and two young kids after 3:00am says a lot about why you shouldn't even consider booking a room at this place.
The location to the parks, Disney was 15 minutes away and Universal 15 minutes away. Lots of restaurants along the strip. Very kid friendly. The bathroom was very small and the internet service was not good.
The room was clean. We keep up our own so no staff cleaned while we were there. I wish they had a checklist for necessaries that you could give the staff when you needed supplies like towels, soap, coffee, cups. ... We made a family trip with our daughter's family. We have no complaints personally but our daughter had some stuff missing from her mini fridge on returning the one evening she had housekeeping in. Just a couple of drinks but still. I have no personal complaints. I would stay again.
It was a good price and location. The Wifi was non-existant, room could use updating.
It was easy to get in and out of and it was right off the main strip. The maid staff would fold my sons blakets and use them to make the bed he was always excited to see how they were set when we got back The rooms needed some updating. The ceiling was leaking in the bathroom and it looked like mold growing. Also there was mold in the light fixture in the bathroom. The door sometimes wouldn't stay latched. The fridge was leaking and there was no microwave.
Cathy was an amazing and very professional person. She brings hospitality a new meaning. I would stay their again!!
I paid for three rooms and they had no parking for only one car, I got in touch with the front desk and there was no solution. They said that the large trailers that were taking up all the spaces had reserved rooms two months ahead and the manager was the one that had approved that. Imagine coming from a long day of magic kingdom so much walking and having a nine month old crying and screaming but you can't park because there is NO parking. At no moment during check in did the front desk attendant mention the problem with parking, aside from that having to park in a spot that was not really a parking spot because the front desk attendant basically told you to figure out where to park a 15 passenger van yourself. Problem with no solution. On top of that a broken hair dryer, a old toilet seat, very uncomfortable pillows, more like shams and a mildew smell. You seriously get what you pay for.
Nice beds, plenty of room in tower rooms. Restaurant not very good, slow service, over cooked food, too pricy for what I ate. Nice staff though
The location is amazing if you are in Florida for Disney. 15 minutes or less drive to all of the parks. This plus a great rate is why I booked this hotel. The stains and little hairs on the mattresses were gross. The bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned. This is not what really bothered me, tho. On our last night, coming back from Magic Kingdom at midnight, we were locked out of our room. The metal bar that goes over the bolt had closed (I'm assuming when the maid closed the door.) The front desk staff were extremely slow to respond. It took an hour before we got back into our room. I realize this is a cheap motel style room, but that doesn't mean that the customer service should be cheap as well.
Booked online and when I get there to check in they couldn't find my reservation. The front desk guy didn't help much. I had to call getmeroom cutomer care, had disconnected 3 times whey they transferred. Lot of frustration. Room service was good. Room are with old. Beds are comfy. Bath tubs are broken. Finally it's a OK with no expectations.
There's nothing we Iiked about the room. Dirty rooms Musty smell Mold on bathroom ceilings Beds were very uncomfortable Rusty bathroom fixtures Carpets were dirty Not a place to take children
Our sink was not draining water very well. Other than that, room was clean
I liked the staff- they were very friendly The rooms (I switched once due to a not good toilet incident) are very old and in poor repair. This staff in a renovated hotel would be money.
Liked pretty much everything. Some of the staff could hardly speak English.
Location Later hrs would be nice
Facilities, staff, room cleanliness
Location ,near to disney parks , all market you need is nearby Hotel staff too slow . Check in took 2 hours and checkout half an hour Restaurant is pathetic , nobody is even interested in serving you in there , I had to call someone from inside to make me sit and than also for cooking me breakfast omelet . They require multiple hours of training in every field which has not been provided .Even after 5 days of staying they were still staying that they are still learning new system .
Facilities - they didn't even have water
Clean and comfortable Lack of parking. Get back from parks too late, and you will most likely be parking at the next villas over from yours.
Proximity to the parks was convenient, only about a 10-12 min drive depending on traffic. Very clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly! Playground area needs a little more lighting in case kids wanted to play after the sun goes down. Entrance from highway can be a little tricky if you're first time "arrivee"; only can enter from west bound side of highway due to no turn lane on opposite side of the highway.
We paid only $80 + a night. That's a great deal. I would not stay here if it were more. The staff was super friendly. The pool wasn't crowded and it wasn't loud. I liked being able to sleep upstairs in quiet while those awake downstairs didn't disturb. Wish I had baby gates for the stairs. (It would be a good option for them to supply) Everything we touched made noises. Floors, stairs, furniture... the water in showers also went to scalding hot out of nowhere a few times and the tub upstairs took 30 mins to drain.
Super clean, attentive staff, nice kitchens and bathrooms, huge two story townhomes. Close to shopping and lots of places to eat. Kitchens have most everything you need to eat in all the time if you want. Orlando traffic!
Well this looked like it would be a great place to stay. Kayak overbooked the reservations for the weekend I intended to stay at this hotel. I was notified of their error at 430pm (check in was at 4). I was forced to get reservations at another hotel (Westgate). I was with a group of four and I had originally booked a 2 bedroom villa at the Sarasota Resort Villas. All they could find me was a 1 bedroom villa at the Westgate 30 min away which then put me an hour away from my intended destination. I was on the phone at least 2 hours trying to find a resolution for their error ( I was already in town and had no other choice).I have used other travel sites and this is the first time I have experienced anything like this. Will never use Kayak again.
Nothing to be honest. The location was nice to restaurants and parks. Everything. The beds were stiff and blood stains on the comforters. The pillows nor mattress had protectors on them. The guest before clearly smoked in the entire villa - our daughter has allergies and asthma so we were up alllllll night ( literally ) with her before her big day in the park, while she couldn't breath and coughed. We called that night the front desk and they said the next day they could fix it for us. The next day when we got back from the park, nothing had changed. We will never skimp on a good hotel again after this stay. We felt dirty and uncomfortable the whole time we were in the room.
My husband and I have stayed at this hotel several times and really like it but this time we didn't get a chance to stay there. I booked my room last week and the morning of my trip I get an email that the hotel was overbooked and my stay was cancelled. I spent 45 minutes of my morning on the phone about the cancellation or trying to book another hotel.
When we checked in Tammy at the front desk gave us an early check in and was super nice and knowledgable. Our villa was super clean and had a great feel of home vs just a hotel! Highly recommend! There wasn't sheets on or for the pull out. Had to contact and walk to the front desk to retrieve blankets.
I enjoy having my space and privacy, especially when traveling. Having multiple floors and multiple bedrooms, ensures I can have my own space if needed. This is my second time staying in a two bedroom suite and I found there is a second shower downstairs! The kitchen is invaluable if you like to prepare your own meals. Everything is clean and well tended to. I enjoyed my second stay immensely and I will definitely be back with more friends. Everyone should know about this hidden gem and its value. The entrance can be a little tricky, especially if you are coming from I4. Also, it would be very cool if a little walking bridge with a gate could be set up over to target. It would definitely be a great convenience.
Spacious privacy No free breakfast
Very friendly staff, clean, and felt safe. The carpet in the halls were somewhat stained. Overall very nice for the money. The breakfast was average.
I liked that there was no extra fees for parking, breakfast, etc like many hotels in the area.
The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was good. Nothing
The lady at the front desk in the mornings was great! Our air conditioner didn't work and she had it replaced within a few hours of us mentioning it to her. The free breakfast was decent, nothing too special, but it was free. They were doing some renovations when we were there so there was noise outside at 8:30 am and the pool was closed. But that won't be a problem after the renovations were finished. The pool is pretty small, so I wouldn't plan days of relaxing by the pool because it's simple and small. Our room had a weird musty smell but if you spray some Febreze it's not too bad.
the smell of the room , humid.
We had made reservations at another hotel for 5 days. After checking into that place, we found out that the room was a complete dump. We promptly checked out and got a refund. Called the Palms and was quoted one price. It was a little more than what we were spending on the other room, but after traveling nearly 7 hours and arriving at nearly 9 pm we needed a place to stay. Checked Kayak and the rate was lower than what the hotel quoted. Booked the room online and we were in our room in less than 45 minutes. The staff was friendly and helpful. The facility was very clean. Rooms were spacious and updated. Housekeeping cleaned our room daily during our stay. The breakfast was filling (seemed as if everyone in the hotel ate breakfast every morning!!). It was quite busy for it to be a smaller hotel (maybe due to it being a holiday weekend). There is also a shuttle that goes to the Disney parks. I had no complaints regarding the hotel only towards the many guest. We stayed on the first floor and all the guest had to pass our room to get to the lobby. It got pretty loud early in the mornings which made it difficult to sleep in. My recommendation to the hotel would be to put a sign in the hallway on the first floor for guest passing through to be quiet especially in the mornings. Other than that, we had no issues with the hotel and would definitely stay there again.
I didn't like the breakfast, specially the oatmeal and the scrambled eggs. The coffee was good!
The rooms were clean. Nice place for the money. Rooms were a little small.
Quiet location, clean lots of restaurants nearby pleasant staff. Good breakfast.
Wonderful staff, Michael was very helpful 179 didn't send the room info until 9pm causing confusion for the staff and us as well. We drove around for over an hour and a half and when we finally got a a call back we had missed the fire work show and went straight to bed annoyed. We requested a late check out aeeing how we had lost the whole evening driving around waiting for a room number but we were told No!!!!
I loved everything about the hotel and the stay. There is nothing that I did not like about my stay at star island resort.
Everything was amazing. . The king suites are definitely the way to go.. the whirlpool tub was everything! Be sure to book the exact amount of days you want though. I tried to book an extra day but was told id have to move to another building because someone was checking in behind us. So we just checked out as scheduled. . But other than that.. wonderful. . $10 a day resort fee & not enough parking
We thought our stay for one night was excellent - clean room with privacy The $100.00 hold on the credit card
Location They have Karaoke four nights per week. My building was probably 1/4 mile from the event. I could hear every singer while laying in bed even though I had ear plugs in. It lasts until midnight. If this would bother you stay away. I saw one review that said the place was quiet. It is on nights without karaoke.
The resort was very clean. the rooms were excellant for adults and kids. the pool area is very nice. a great stay for the price, will stay there again. No.
We enjoyed the beautiful grounds. Our room was exceptionally designed. Columns around the jacuzzi beautiful bedding, comfortable living room. Large rooms. Excellent place. was pleased with everything.
the rooms where nice size. location is central to all events. the elevator broke at 430 am and buzzed for 2 hrs out side my bedroom very loud. took staff foever to stop the noise. rooms are not sound proof you here everything. people waiting for elevator talking to the door opening and closing. I had a very poor nights sleep. Then the resort asked if we would be willing to tour facility and buy in to time share, out guide was very nice but the manager of time share division was very rude to us and cocky. I was interested in buying in to this resort till my run in with the manager. He was so rude.
The pool activities and the Karaoke were the most fun for our family to enjoy together. The facilities were clean, and the staff were courteous. This was my second stay and I rated it as okay. After a long drive into town my room wasn't ready. My family and I had to sit around for over an hour and wait for our room to be available. We went to a presentation for a timeshare and the saleswoman was pushy, rude, and argumentative. We were locked out of our room at one point in our stay. And last but not least, I called for towels at 7 am, and they didn't come until 10. Super slow service. My first experience was great, the second one, not so good.
It was relatively close to the parks and didn't cost a ton. The first thing the staff did was try to get us to visit a time share meal. They acted very annoyed and dismissive when we declined. Our room was fine until we realized our toilet was leaking probably due to a faulty sealing at the base. The staff came the next day to fix it but left all the defiled and dirty towels used to clean and contain the issue in our room as a present for us. When the staff was notified of the remaining filthy towels they were unresponsive. Would not recommend the place.
Location is excellent Dated. Small double beds, tiny refrigerator, no ice available nearby
There were two beautiful pools. My kids loved them. Paying extra to use certain things at the resort, tennis courts and jet skis
Great place to stay with a family. We had a 3 room suite - was perfect with 2 kids and newborn. Pools and activities were great for kids. Would definately stay here again! I didn't like the fact that you had to pay to have maid service. Would have been nice if housekeeping came by once during our stay to change our towels.
The room was very comfortable and the amenities were excellent. We enjoyed the pool (alot) and the beds were comfortable. The spa tub was great and we really enjoyed our stay and will come again in the future. We were over charged for the room, I haven't checked yet to see that the difference in price has been refunded.
