Skagakaia is located in Bø. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: First of all the welcome and kindness of the owner Secondly the location is great. A place out of the time...
Pros: Peaceful remote location, hospitality, food in restaurant. Access to shared kitchen/lounge with fridge, cooking facilities plus guests lounge
Cons: Room a bit cramped with sloping ceilings in bedroom and ensuite.
Pros: It was a very quiet and beautiful area, really very peaceful, with lovely hiking trails nearby. We were fortunate enough to see the Northern Lights too, which was spectacular! Lone was a wonderful host, who knows the area really well and gave us great tips on nearby excursions. We were able to cook some of our own meals in the kitchen, which was great. I love bathing in the water even in the winter, and that is also possible from the guesthouse and much recommend to those more daring!
Pros: This place gives you really the feeling of the Norway spirit. An old fisherman wood-house directly on the see with a very clean kitchen and beautiful warm and peaceful rooms. Personal is also very very nice too!
Cons: So bad we spent here only 2 days!
Pros: Norway authentic style, very kind personal.
Cons: I wish we could stay longer. There are lots of activities near around

Pros: Good location, friendly and helpful staff. Good evening meal. Restaurant terrace had lovely view. Comfortable bed in very clean room.
Cons: My hotel room didn't match the photos on the web site. I suspect the hotel rooms are not as comfortable as the rorbu accommodation. My room was a bit dated in style and needed redecorating. My bedroom window wouldn't close properly and I required help from a member of staff to secure it.
Pros: Large room ( Even if poorly planned)
Cons: Shower was stuck on boiling hot Bedroom blind did not close properly Restricted height above bed Rain on sloping roof was noisy Road outside hotel was noisy
Pros: Well it's really the only "hotel" in Stokmarkness, so adequate in that regard. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
Cons: I was not expecting extravagance, so nothing to complain about.
Pros: Location and roomsize
Cons: Design is outdated, bathroom need some renovation, beds are not comfortable
Pros: Spacious apartment Good breakfast Nice staff
Cons: Little bit expensive
Pros: We were a family of 6 members (3couples) and had the four-bedroom-house in the middle of the hotel property (no 41). It seems to be very new, it’s amazingly clean and very comfortable with a lovely balcony. The sun was shining the whole day (and night) so it was an amazing atmosphere. There is a full equipped kitchen and each bedroom has its own bathroom. There are two separate toilets. The staff was very nice and helpful when we asked for advice. In the evening we jumped in the (ice cold) water and went in our house own sauna afterwards. There is a large varied breakfast in the morning with a lot of gluten-free options (muesli, bread, separate toaster, honey, ...) which was included in our price. The dinner in the evening in the hotel restaurant (not included) was also amazingly good and the waiter was extremely nice. We ate fish and vegetables which were delicious and fresh. All in all we were very satisfied with this place and it is absolutely recommendable.
Cons: The only thing which wasn’t satisfying were the light brown curtains in the bedroom. The sun was shining the whole night so that the room didn’t get dark at all.
Pros: We had been staying in Rorbuers and youth hostels so this 4 star property was like arriving in paradise though of course you paid appropriately.
Pros: HOTEL TRES AGREABLE
Pros: Staff very friendly and wanted to ensure our stay was good
Cons: Room let in too much light as is the case with many in Norway, this makes sleeping quite challenging
Pros: Everything was perfect
Offering a barbecue and views of the sea, Guvåg Båt og Sjøhusutleie is set in Guvåg in the Nordland Region, 48 km from Svolvær. Free WiFi is available and free private parking is available on site. Each room comes with a TV. Enjoy a cup of tea from your terrace or balcony. The rooms come with a private bathroom equipped with a shower. There is a shared lounge at the property. With the vicinity of the mountain, this accommodation is perfect for hiking and fishing trips. The fjords can be visited by boat or kayak. At the property guests can rent a boat with motor, fishing gear and float vests. Svolvaer Airport is 47 km away.
Pros: Staff was really AMAZING! The best, funny and kind people of Norway! They help us with fishing. Is possible rent a boat for fishing and there is a good place for clean fish.
Cons: kitchen was really small but it was not a problem
Pros: Lena was a very friendly host. The location on the very southern tip of Langoya is beautiful.
Cons: We were a family of 4 and this accommodation was absolutely not suitable for a family. The accommodation is about 20m2 and it has a small 2nd floor of about 1m high at the most, where 2 matrasses just fitted for the kids but where it was very very hot. The double bed on the ground floor is 1.20m at the most so too small for 2 adults (unless you like it that way). The room is part of 2, and the other room was taken by friendly Russians who were there for the fishing and were cleaning their fish in front of the entrance to both rooms until midnight. Everybody cleans their catch of the day there since it is part of a small harbour so unless you like the smell of fish, it is far from pleasant. Some cutlery was not clean, neither were blankets. You pay around 90 euro’s per night for which you are expected to vacuum clean the room when you leave! So, unless you like fishing all day and don’t mind many other people around who like to do the same, this is not a family holiday accommodation.
Located in the centre of the viallage Melbu, this hotel offers free WiFi internet in public area and an on-site restaurant focused on traditional food. Melbu Ferry Terminal is just 50 metres away. All rooms have a satellite TV and a tea/coffee maker. Guests can relax on Hotell Melbu’s terrace, use the on-site gym or rent a bicycle. Fishing, Northern Lights and whale safaris are also popular with visitors.
Pros: The remote simplicity, the view, the staff, location, hot shower.
Cons: Being cold, the barren, tired decor.
Pros: great location and very helpful staff
Cons: the breakfast was absolutely horrendous. bad selection and a lot of the spreads were not in the cooler, but just on the table. one waiter was cleaning the tables by wiping off the crumbs with his hand. the master switch kills all the power so it's not possible to charge laptop/phone during the night without also having the light on.
Pros: The room itself was fine. Clean and comfortable.
Cons: An experience more like The Shining or the Bates Motel. Though I had booked ahead, the hotel was effectively closed and entry was by 'remote', a mobile call from outside the hotel in the freezing cold while someone guided me in through the back door. I do not know how much the international telephone call was but I suspect it added considerably to the cost of staying there. If you cannot provide a reception then close the hotel.
