In the heart of Strasbourg, a stone's throw from the Cathedral, the Cour du Corbeau hotel, a member of the MGallery collection, combines history and modernity. In a setting that dates back to 1528, this 4-star hotel elegantly combines the charm of yesteryear with a more modern feel, giving its 57 rooms a unique identity. Guests are invited to step back in time and follow in the footsteps of Marshall Turenne (1647) or travel incognito like the Prussian King Frederick the Great in 1740
This is a full 10-grade hotel. If you like hotels with a charm - that`s the one in Strasbourg. The restored old inn building is just beautiful with a number of old beams kept around. The staff is remercably kind and helpful. With a booking.com rate the price - quality ratio is just amazing! The location is also great - in the vicinity of all the touristic/shopping attractions in the city!
Be aware of the fact that by car the entrance of the hotel`s street seems closed - there is a low intercom box on the left-hand side and you have to push the button - the reception puts the hydraulic pillar down for you ;-)
The hotel is in such a picturesque place, and traditional. A truly wonderful place to stay.
Only room service available for evening meals. Would liked to have sat and ate downstairs socially, in such a beautiful hotel.
Everybody was very nice and attentive. Great location, nice and clean room. I recommend this hotel.
We booked early and found a very good price for our room. The fairytale-like hotel is a recently restored 16th century Alsacian construction, complete with exposed wooden beams, contrasting very nicely with all of the modern amenities (very clean new bathrooms!) The staff was very welcoming, and most spoke French, English, and German. They recommended and reserved a great restaurant, and also reserved us a taxi with no problems. Wifi is pay-only, but there is a free to use computer, with printer, near the lobby.
The bathtub/shower really needs some sort of curtain or glass partition to avoid spraying water everywhere, but one can make do.
The location was excellent (2 minutes walking and you are in the centre of town) as was the friendliness and quality of the staff. The hotel is an excellent blend of modern interior design in a historical building. The rooms were roomy and comfortable (in particular the beds). Quiet location.
They had renovated a very old building very carefully while including excellent modern facilities. It was hidden away within walking distance of the old town, it was quiet, a real treat, one of the best hotels we have stayed in.
For the price the breakfast was rather limited, although they did have fresh juices and excellent coffee
the service, the room
The hotel was lovingly restored, it is in a beautiful old building but offers nonetheless all the latest standard. The staff in the hotel was friendly and helpful.
Somehow, the athmosphere in the room was a bit sterile. The light in the bathroom was insufficient by far. The room was too small / simple given the price per night. Also, the breakfast at EUR 22,00 per person was way too basic. Half an hour before the end of breakfast, there were no more refills on eggs etc. There was too little personnel to clear tables in the slightly too small breakfast room, so plates and other dishes would be piling on the tables.
Absolutely remarkable building, refined luxury, one of the best places I've ever stayed at, in a city distinctly lacking any other competitor.
OK, the breakfast fruit juice was disappointing
Lovely room, complimentary bottle of wine, excellent breakfast
Privacy was lacking due to windows of other rooms facing ours. Noise from people drinking in the courtyard.
