Inexpensive price Seemed a bit dated and not in most attractive neighborhood
Very kind and attentive management. Clean room. Peaceful safe environment. Good location. Lovely
The location is perfect. We stayed in a two bedroom cabin- a bit outdated but was expected due to the value. Very clean- nary a rogue hair anywhere! (Important to me!). The river flows RIGHT behind- simply gorgeous to swim and explore, as we did with kids
This place was Fantastic! Location is great! Shower was amazing. Owners very friendly and helpful. Close to everything. Super clean and comfy! We will definitely be back!
Location. River was next to hotel Everything was OK. Nice people to do business with.
Room was overpriced.
Bathroom and cleanliness were good. In the morning I got free coffee that was ok as well. The interior was not new, but working. The bed and the mattress were horrible. Too soft even for light persons, and one person moving just a little will shake the other awake. You will wake up in the morning with pain in the neck, or stay awake because of a shaking bed.
Absolutely fantastic stuff. Such a clean room and heater worked great (big deal in winter). Coffee any time I asked, great location to Loon and Ice Castles. Motel is outdated but mega clean - I think it's more important then a new tv. Pet friendly ABSOLUTELY EVERYHTING WAS GREAT. THANK YOU FOR YUUR HOSPITALITY
Owners very friend y and responsive to any issues.
Great location, quick check-in, morning coffee, nice window view. Very loud HVAC that switched on/off every 3 minutes has ruined my night's sleep. Radiators on the walls were not operational.
I liked the location. Room was clean and they did some updates to the room. Beds were comfortable. Although maid made beds each day and trash was taken out, carpet and floor could have been vacuum due to rainy weather we tracked in some dirt. Fruit flies around Continental breakfast some of the bananas were too ripe.
the hotel is in a good location for exploring the mountains. Price wasn't bad. Staff was friendly. Continental breakfast had a good variety Room was basic. Needs updating. Bed was comfortable enough for a night stay. Most of hotel is closed now. Use to be the Beacon whiich had more amenities. Most of hotel is closed now.
We reserved a room blindly at the last minute, and we were somewhat confused by the description of "two double beds, two twin beds," but we persevered because it was late and we were eager to get settled for the night. We arrived and were directed to our cabin (!), which was straight out of a horror movie. It was a bit dated and there was nothing fancy about it, but it was clean and there were indeed two twin beds in a single bedroom and two double beds in two other bedrooms. The main building had a lounge and restaurant area that had clearly seen better times, where they served a decent breakfast for free--usual continental motel breakfast plus waffle iron and a couple of hot dishes. The cabin was pretty dated and run down, with an almost antique bathroom and weird living room furniture. The Ritz it is not, but it was definitely an experience.
The beds were extremely comfy and the lady working the front desk was very helpful. The dead bolt for our door had been ripped off the wall, there was a half used roll of toilet paper in our bathroom, water pressure was low in the shower and our room had 2 doors for exit and thought it was rather odd.
Good location relative to where I was working Don't ask for a wake up call. You'll get a gruff "use the alarm clock in the room".
The grounds were very nicely kept. A fire pit with wood was available on the premises which we enjoyed! The gentleman at the front desk was very helpful and recommended an awesome place for dinner. The bed was Very comfortable and the room was very clean.
It was a short stay, with a full day of prep for the Rugby festival and golf and saturday's early start for the rugby. End of stay
Wedding party yelling and music in back of bks till I called front desk at 2am
Beautiful resort in a beautiful location. The weekend we visited, there were a bunch of families (at a conference) who let all their screaming children run amok (probably about 30 children). They were loud, obnoxious, rude, and without any visible supervision. The resort staff did not do anything to alleviate this, which resulted in a poor atmosphere.
breakfast!! We had a bunch of hair in one of our beds , it looked clean, but we weren't taking any chances. It was the same persons long black hair all over the inside of the comforter like it hadn't been cleaned...
Staff was all very friendly. We have a 3 year old that was with us and the staff made sure there was coloring crayons and pictures of his favorite likes to color. Very thoughtful, he loved this hotel was excited to stay there. No
The location was excellent. The breakfast was very good. We needed, for my wife, a handicap accessible room and it was provided, though with just a little difficulty. The room was quite satisfactory and there was nothing negative about our time time ther As I said above, no. We wish we had made it for more than one night and a week earlier.
The hours for breakfast. I love that it ran until 12pm, I didn't have to wake up extra early. The employees were the best in resolving any problem. No
Location, Gym, tasty breakfast We put our 'do not disturb' sign until 11 am outside of our door.In contrast to other hotels, our room was not cleaned at all after we had removed it.In the evening we found the room as before and nobody would clean it on request. We received towels though
Great breakfast and amenities
The hotel was being renovated so it was a little busy in the lobby and front entrance!
This hotel has been completely renovated. The rooms are new and maintenance is great. We had a big room that was very comfortable and immaculately clean. We got a great breakfast( not advertised when we booked the room). Staff was very nice and helpful.
Nice location No
The location The Cleanliness The breakfast Still around some materials for the renovation The elevator was a little slow
Breakfast was very substantial. Internet speed was very sluggish. No major network channels on TV.
I liked the fact that it had a pool and a jacuzzi available for use. I liked that it had a pool and jacuzzi however there was not enough ventilation in that area. As soon as you walked in all you smelled was chlorine and our eyes were burning without even putting it head under water.
The views were amazing. the food was worse than horrible, the bathroom was dirty and nasty, there were alot of bugs everywhere throughout the hotel room. All and all I would never stay there again.
Convenience of on-property restaurant and the location. No dislikes
Excellent rooms, great food and staff in very beautiful natural surroundings.
location, many activity options on site, no
The service when the TV wouldn't work was great I found the wait staff to be very slow.
not being in a hotel with no outside access. walking out your door to the outside was great when you have snowmobiles right outside the room cleaning was late in the day so no fresh towels or coffee in room til late or at all if we were there.
We like that they had activities for kids and their buffets its good too. Rooms were clean and loved that we were sorrunded by mountains When i checked in they didnt give me any info about the resort, we missed the kids activities the first night, but we asked and did the activities the second night. The kids were very happy
The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. The rooms were clean and recently updated. I attended a wedding at the resort and the staff did a very good job with arrangements.
Clean, quite and very beautifull scenery that surrounds the hotel in all directions.Location was great, entertainment was wonderfull and our stay there was just very pleasurefull.Staff, were friendly and accomadated my family very well. We will definitely stay there again and will highly recomend the resort to others.Thank you.George and Beverly Not one thing !
Our kayak rate was low AND included breakfast unlike the regular hotel rate. Check in time was at 4 pm. Very late.
Staff was nice. Beautiful view from our room. I really was disappointed with fishing at the lake. They need to stock more often. My kids wanted to go mostly for that reason.
I liked the free fishing, swimming pools and the closeness to fun entertainment and amusements. Our booking was messed up and they had given our room away so they had to make accomidations and it was frustrating, but they did comp us dinner.
It's a typical Hampton Inn, so if you've been to one before than you know what you're getting. It's very convenient to get to from I-93. The room was plenty big enough for two (or more) people. The fitness center was small, but in good working order. The pool is on the small side; I believe 5ft deep at the deep end, but also kept up well. Fresh baked cookies in the afternoon/evening (yum) and 24 hour coffee are nice added benefits. While it is right off the highway, it's not within walking distance to downtown Littleton. Littleton's downtown isn't extensive, but the majority of the eateries are located there, while means you'll be driving everywhere, unless you want to eat at Applebee's every night. There are a few other hotels and B&Bs more centrally located to the downtown, but you probably pay for that location, and less consistency. Also worth noting: the continental breakfast is okay, but you learn quickly to pick and choose your items carefully. Steer clear of the greasy stuff. Stick to the waffles, oatmeal, fruit, etc. As others have mentioned, the complementary wifi is pretty slow and unstable (but hey, it's free for HHonors members).
We enjoyed the swimming pool, breakfast, conveniece to shopping and restaurants and the availability of refrigerator and microwave in room.
Understaffed at evening check in / arrival. Lobby was filled with very unhappy, upset and yelling customers. Long wait on line since there was only one person behind the counter and all people on line ahead of me had problems with their reservations and or their rooms were not ready at 8:30 PM. Also kept getting kicked off of the compliamentary wifi.
NIce location with convenient parking. Friendly and forthcoming staff. Well set room with access to extra services.
The rooms are not fancy but clean and comfortable enough. The location is fantastic and the little town of Franconia is very cute. The hotel's surrounding gardens are very pretty as well. We had an issue with our wi fi and the staff worked quickly to fix it. The rooms could be updated and more bedding is needed in the colder months.
My money back.
D.I.Y. waffle maker for the included continental breakfast. Blind in the bathroom stuck open giving no privacy. Staff didn't know the opening hours of the only store in town 1 mile away. Décor was tired but clean.
Owners are wonderful, small restaurant and bar on-site. Nothing to be done about this, but this is on a main road. This makes it super convenient, but also a bit loud for sleeping.
Good restaurant, friendly staff Room a little cramped and dark
Different from the usual run of the mill motel and good value for money. Breakfast not included
Unable to sleep well. Constant humming noise all night from unknown source. Over priced.
Nice place, very decent restaurant. Easy walking distance to town. Great location for hiking with several peaks within close driving distance. I'll be staying here next hiking trip.
Welcoming staff at all times, never making guests feel hurried. Standard and choice of food great. heated swimming pool an added bonus. no
The room itself was fine. The lodge was old. The furniture upstairs was covered with dust covers( apparently don't sit here) and the furniture was very old. The drapes to the walk out porch were pulled closed so you couldn't go out. It had seen better days. The whole town was basically closed up. Only place open to eat was a pizza joint. Everything else was closed.
We will be using them from now on! Bed was a bit hard
Our room was very clean. The owners (hosts) were friendly and helpful. No complaints at all.
The facility is older but well maintained. The owners, Chris and Nancy are on site and hands on. A comfortable visit.
I enjoyed my stay at the Maple Leaf. The family running the grounds clearly cared about their guests and were very accommodating. They were knowledgeable about the immediate area, hospitable, and personable. I would definitely return to this hotel. The interior of the rooms looked a little cheap and dated, though the stay was fairly inexpensive comparable to the surrounding hotels in the area with the same commodities at the time, especially since it was during peak color season in the fall.
The town of Littleton is a gem, and the centre within walking distance of the motel. Our single queen room was smaller than many other budget motel rooms we have stayed in, but was adequate.
Location, quaint, affordable, surrounding fall foliage was beautiful
The Maple Leaf has very clean rooms. Nice full kitchen. Flat screen T.V. , good cable channels and wifi. Very friendly owners. A very relaxing atmosphere. Great location!
very well run no tea coffee maker in room
The hotel staff was unfriendly. The only amenity was coffee which was available in an outer vestibule, but there was no decaf. They charged for ice and it was unavailable after hours. The rooms were not clean. They have hot water heat (which is wonderful) but there were layers of dust on the tops of the registers. The rooms have storm doors on them that slam shut. I still have a rather large bruise on my arm from the storm door slamming into me. Over all - I cannot reccommend the Maple Leaf Motel, and would, in fact, reccommend that it not be used.
Good location, near mountains, near town, but not in noisy area. Good value. Nice room. bed too hard
The location to our family. No
The facilities were very good as we had a kitchen where we could cook for ourselves and make picnics. The supermarket was nearby. We were able to go out for the whole day and return to a nice appartment.
TV area, surroundings and fireplace area, although all you could play were VHS tapes as the equipment was very old and there are no TVs in the rooms. The room was very small; what they call 'cozy' is really miniscule. You could barely walk around the bed and the closet was behind the bed. There was no way to regulate the heat and the room was way too hot. It was very noisy late into the night.
