8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location as I was participating in a convention in Madison.
Cons: Breakfast was sub par, but was what I was expecting for the price.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We liked the basic motel amenities as we were visiting family in the area. Simple motel - no frills. That's the heading I would have put on our stay - No frills.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: The Lobby was very welcoming and the staff at evening check in was polite and very professional (rarity). The room was squeaky clean and everything worked and was in nice condition. The room was on the small side and didn't include a fridge or microwave, but for an overnight stay and traveling by myself, it was perfect. And I would trade those extra frills for cleanliness any day. Morning complimentary breakfast was nothing overly special but is typical of a Super 8 - Cereal, toast, sweet rolls, waffle maker, fruit, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, coffee and fruit juice. I left in the morning with their business card, on which I wrote "nice place". This will be a 'must stay' next time I travel through Sun Prairie, Wisconsin.
Cons: Pillows were a bit flat and they were out of Raisin Bran for breakfast, but those are minor inconveniences and I still rate this as an excellent stay
7.0 Good
Pros: Love the location, cleanliness, quality and comfort of mattress and price! Parking was very convenient and location is close to a variety of stores and shopping.
Cons: Breakfast was sparse and sorely lacking. Coffee ran out. No eggs, no bagels, no fresh fruit available. OF the pastry selections, only two different small pastries were offered in commercial cellophane packaging. They had a few little muffins. I just ended up having buttered toast.
7.0 Good
Pros: Waffles were very good, staff was super nice and helpful, and the hotel was clean and smelled nice.
Cons: My bed was really broken in and uncomfortable.
6.0 Good
Pros: They didn’t spend much time making breakfast for the people that stayed there there was no eggs for two days and all they had was biscuit gravy and sweet rolls In plastic wrap dry
Cons: It could’ve been better prepared for breakfast it doesn’t take that long to make scrambled eggs and order a good sweet rolls fruit and cartons of milk chocolate and white
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Typical Super 8 (which is a good thing) clean comfortable overnight room at a reasonable rate.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was okay.. The biscuits and gravy were horrible.. Watered down..
Cons: Breakfast could use help
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: I didn't
Cons: Horrible people and place

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, quiet. What I expected for the price range. Close to where I needed to be. Liked the real 3 cup coffee maker in room with real Torke coffee.
Cons: Boring, mediocre, bland décor. Nothing warm or comforting. But expected for a motel of this age (however in reasonably good condition).
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff was friendly, the room was clean, there were plenty of towels, it was quiet and handy to the places I needed to go to.
Cons: There was a stain on the bath tub, there was a place in the hall way on second floor that seemed to bounce and creak a little. Inserting the key in the back door with the little plastic cover is kind of annoying.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: comfortable and clean
Cons: it was a dark day and the lights were not turned on in the pool area. Also, the tub did not drain very good.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: It was cheap
Cons: Staff with no personality. Way out of the way. We were most likely the only people staying at this hotel. It was weird.
6.0 Good
Cons: Bathroom was not efficiently put together, you almost have to be in the tub to close the door.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I frequently stay in this motel. Rooms are nicely appointed. Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good.
Cons: I don't like that I have to pay $10 extra per person when my extended family with 2 small children meets me at the hotel and wants to use the pool. The pool is only gratis to those registered as guests at the hotel.

Pros: cozy and quiet, clean new bedding
Cons: nothing really friendly staff
7.0 Good
Pros: Location and price
Cons: Wi-fi did not work in the rear part of the motel. The motel is old and dated, needs updating.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The wonderful staff and how quiet and clean the place is
Cons: No complaints
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: It was close to Little Amerricka amusement park
Cons: First room stank, second room did not so we just went for it. Unfortunately, although the beds were made, it was filthy. The floor was covered in animal fur and hair. The bathroom floor literally had 10 or a dozen pistachio nuts on the floor and other assorted bits of yuck. Also, the bathroom tap leaked to the point of a steady stream. No small drips here! The walkways are cluttered with furniture and kids toys. We stayed last year and it was not this bad, but we will never stay there again no matter how cheap or convenient it is.

1.0 Poor
Pros: Location
Cons: Charged a resort fee - not mentioned upon booking; asked for $20 to delay the checkout by 30 minutes; disappointed with breakfast (tasteless lox plate...) and the staff was not even nice. Very unhappy with this my stay at the Edgewater.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and view were lovely.
Cons: My husband was looking forward to dining at the Boathouse restaurant. Unfortunately, the 5 employees merely stared at us without offering to seat us. We stood in the restaurant, awkwardly waiting for someone to help us but finally gave up and left.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location and top notch service and facilities.
Cons: No complaints
6.0 Good
Pros: I liked the overall look of the facility. The location is great.
Cons: The pillows and bed were not comfortable, too hard. No ice machine on my floor. Couldn't get non-alcoholic beverage in the facility after a certain time. Recently was renovated but certain things were already broke like the waterfall in the relaxation pool. Couldn't find my booking when I arrived, (Was told by Edgewater staff that the booking.com site is not integrated with their booking system).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our view of the lake was amazing, you could lay on the bed and watch the sunset over the water
Cons: Large numbers of gnats outside near the water - and no bug zappers or anything to drive them off
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Charm and lication
Cons: Didn't like walking so far under tunnel- would stay in main hotel next Time
5.0 Okay
Pros: The lake adjacent location is nice. However, as other reviews pointed out, the "lake view" term is used generously. You had to stand in the corner of the juliet balcony to even see the lake.
Cons: I have no idea how this is rated 4.5 stars. The room itself felt dated and unimpressive. The $18 "resort fee" (which covers internet, spa access, fitness center, etc) is a joke. Cell service is bad in the hotel, because it's all brick. Super disappointing
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing views from the restaurant where we had breakfast as well.
Cons: The pillows were not comfortable
7.0 Good
Pros: Close to where we were going
Cons: Resort fee and parking was $18 minimum
5.8 Okay
Pros: Nice location
Cons: “Lake view” was actually possible it see if only stick with window. I can’t call it “like view” As arrived I asked to bring bowls for my dog, they forgot. Phone in my room was not working, needed to go downstairs to get the bowls.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The Edgewater is a hidden gem! Just off the beaten path but close enough to feel part of the action in Madison. The outdoor ice skating pond is brilliantly situated between the two buildings adding to the beauty and winter ambiance that is the Edgewater.
Cons: The pullout coach bed was horrible but that’s ok, everything else made up for it!
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Location
Cons: The AC did not work in my room. Slept terrible!

Pros: Staff was attentive friendly and helpful..and this was the best sleep I have had in 20 years! Yes, a little pricey, but...worth every penny esp. With jacuzzi bath tub!!!
7.0 Good
Pros: The hotel was adequate, nothing special. The juccuzzi was not working, which was frustrating.
Cons: I would never pay full price for this hotel. The "deal" I got for $--- wasn't such a deal with a $40 tax added on, plus $15 parking. The room was adequate, but not special by any means. Next time I will stay at a Hamton, with breakfast and down pillows.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The pool and the hot tub were terrific! And the location was perfect.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great! The location was super, it was clean and the breakfast buffet was phenomenal! I would stay here again. I have nothing else.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. As always.
Cons: Better Irish whisky selection in the Governor's Club lounge.
4.0 Okay
Pros: The location seems like the reason to stay here.
Cons: For its price and stature, the Madison Concourse was a huge disappointment. The carpets smelled throughout the building, the amenities were stingy and of poor quality, and the lighting in the room was awful.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room setup, pool/hot tub, and and lobby were all really nice. The layout and vibe of the lobby/lounge is such a great place to hangout. There is so much space and seating that you don't feel like you're imposing on anyone or vise versa while spending time there. All the seating was very comfortable, the fireplace is very nice as well and the ability to control TVs individually in the lounge/lobby is a great feature- there were a lot of TVs. My favorite part of the hotel is the lounge. The breakfast was awesome- definitely has plenty of options that were pleasantly unexpected.
Cons: The bed was too firm so I didnt get a good night sleep- but maybe to someone else this is comfortable. The comforter on the bed was very nice, and the room had it's own heat/AC unit- not just a unit sticking out of the wall. For the price we pay for the hotel, parking should be included. This was the first place I stayed where it was not. If you have to charge parking it should not be $15 a night. I would recommend $5-$10 max a night or FREE. It just comes off as being stingy, not classy for a hotel.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice staff, great breakfast!
Cons: Light flickering in bathroom
5.0 Okay
Pros: Staff was friendly.
Cons: Temperature in room was difficult to control. It was either to hot or to cold. Breakfast wasn't very good. Eggs didn't taste good and sweet roll was hard and dry.
7.0 Good
Pros: The outdoor walkway nearby the river was very nice.
Cons: Check in staff was cold, asking only required info. No attempt to connect with even a question like what brings you to Madison? The toilet had not been cleaned with a brush and cleanser in sometime as it had that dark growth of mold or mildew.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: They had a bunch of homeless people staying there due to covid-19 which is fineq
Cons: Lots of homeless people staying there due to covid-19. One approached my wife and one year old child and made feel very uncomfortable. I understand they needed to be quarantined too, but not what we signed up for so we left and went to a nicer hotel the next day (which let us do an early check in at 8am, they were fantastic!)
8.0 Excellent
Pros: A clean place to stay during the outbreak. Breakfast food was prepackaged so the were no concerns about food safety and contamination. The hotel definitely flooded the CDC recommendations.
Cons: Carpets need to be vacuumed thoroughly to remove all debris. Stepping on "something" in the dark is quite unpleasant.
8.0 Excellent
Cons: The hotel was fine but no thanks to booking.com who never made the reservation. I called the next day to confirm thank god and made a real reservation
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The cleanliness and kind staff.
Cons: I have no complaints
7.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast was awesome, yummy, well restocked and the breakfast was very helpful and always on his feet. Wide selection incl. fresh fruit, hot oatmeal. Hot breakfast included choice of egg cheese omelets/ham/bacon one morning and scrambled eggs/biscuit and gravy the next as well as oatmeal; cold options were selection of four cereals, yogurts, (sweet) bread or waffles (pour the dough plus wafflemaker). What I liked best was actual dishes and silverware as I hate to eat and drink from styrofoam - way to go environmental friendly! The pool area was clean and water was warm enough. They even had some balls out for kids to play with. Oh, and free cookies and a water dispenser in the lobby!
Cons: I felt I overpaid for what we got. Pool and breakfast were awesome, but some downsides were noted. When the door to our room was opened, it smelled like "welcome to granny's old wardrobe", some stale, stuffy, musty smell. We found an old paper bag stuffed between the microwave and the cabinet that housekeeping overlooked. Otherwise, the room was clean, though. Our room was facing the freeway and you could hear cars all night. It was also located right next to a second exit, so we heard the door bang a lot. Badly soundproofed, too, while our neighbors were pretty quiet, we could hear them move one floor above us.
7.0 Good
Pros: Comfortable pillow‘s
Cons: Needed updating
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great place to stay! Clean, friendly staff and delicious cookies as you come in!!
1.0 Poor
