Overall it's ok for a quick stay! And the only thing I enjoy there is because the room have a coach and free bottle of water as compliment. The room has a smell like whore house! And the bed are not so comfortable to lay on. Extremely very firm bed and it make little noise when you moved a round it. It sounded like it's been used up so much and Very old bed that need to be replaced!
I liked the retro feel, but basically clean and not old.
An older motel in a mostly residential neighbourhood, well kept, clean, nice owner, great price, perfect for our one night stop over.
You can park in front of your room. Wittle motel is located near shopping centers and restaurants. I was able to check out later then the checkout time. The price paid for the room was good compared to similar motels/hotels in the area. The room comes with two free water bottles. They clean the room and do your bed everyday. Check in time was at 3pm, I arrived at 3:30pm to check in but i couldn't because my room wasnt ready yet so I didn't get my room until after 4pm. Many things inside the room are old and need to be replaced; the furniture is faded and had stains inside the drawers, the towels had rips in them & were worn out, the king size bed was squeaky. The housekeeping lady was using a shopping cart for her cleaning supplies, she deserves an actual charlie cart. Although they clean the room and do your bed everyday, there is no safe box for you to keep your money and/or valuables in, so you have to be cautious of what you leave inside your room while your not there. The lady that oversees this motel isn't fond of having kids and children stay here because she feels they will abuse the rooms.
The room is not cramped and was clean. The heater worked properly and it was not difficult to set a comfortable temperature. This appears to be a family-run place, and the staff was friendly and helpful. I did not use the kitchenette, and I am not sure the stove (and oven) was hooked up to the gas. The kitchen had a mini-refrigerator, microwave oven, coffee maker, and small table. The Wi-Fi worked very well and was fast enough for my needs. The price was very reasonable for the area. Parking is a little different, with no marked spaces. It appears that you can park on the other side of the street (3 hour parking from 8 am to 6 pm) if you cannot park on the property. The lobby is not constantly staffed, you need to ring a bell and wait to be buzzed in. I was unable to figure out how to change the channel on the TV. Only one TV channel (channel 3) had a signal, and that only had the History channel. Perhaps another remote was needed to change the channel fed to the TV.
The room was comfortable and clean on the inside. It was quiet and in a good area. Good water pressure in the shower. Good tv. No ice machine! Scary looking exterior. ...surprised to find a nice room on the inside. No pool. All the motels in this area are way overpriced.
This has a motel feel.
I like how the beds are big and the rooms are comfy. Very clean
Close to historic downtown. Rooms need upgraded .. Ceilings stained .. Tub was old and peeling. Old style TV
Room was clean, staff was able to satisfy request for location on ground floor. Continental breakfast was a joke. But Denny's gives 10% off. Tub is worn, but shower worked fine.
Cleanliness and facilities are ok Employees never address complaints. The breakfast was really bad and was mostly over half our before the time mentioned.
Bed was comfortable, clean. Pretty much everything else. For #170/night I would hope for a whole lot more. 'Breakfast' was particularly disappointing. Building shook anytime anybody ran up/down stairs.
friendly front desk guy, clean restroom, clean carpet floor...you have a fridge,tv,desk, private restroom, shower, plenty of towels, shampoo and soap
The location was good, but other than that, I didn't like anything about this place. I found a live cockroach in the room. The room was dirty, the facilities were poorly maintained. The walls were paper thin. Do yourself a favor and spring for a nicer hotel.
I liked how quickly they responded when the shower head in my bathroom did not produce enough water flow when taking a shower. I brought the issue to their attention in the morning, and by the early evening when I returned to my room they installed a brand new shower head that works excellent. They really wanted to please! I wish they had a bigger breakfast.
It was very close to 49er stadium. There was no bar on site. The bar was about a half mile from the location of the room. We had to literally break the door down to get into the room. After getting our room key and not being able to get in we went to the front desk and the lady said to ram the door with our shoulder. we went to her a second time with the same problem. she finally came out and tried to get inside but could not. after about four tries we finally were able to get into the room but it broke the latch off the door making it easily accessible for anyone to get in if they wanted too...Overall not a bad place to stay but I would not recommend just because of the overall experience at that location...very poor customer service.
The room was clean. The room had just been cleaned when we checked in at 5pm. The internet, which both Priceline and the hotel website was free, was not free.
Booked through Priceline with the standard search engine (no Express Deal or Name Your Price) and could have saved a few $$$ booking directly through the hotel website since solo travelers get a discount not available through the other booking engines. From the outside, the place seemed a bit shady, but the room I was given was clean and got the job done. Some of the guests were a bit noisy (two guys were changing a tire on their car right outside my door around 11pm), but nothing crazy. No shampoo so used bar of soap to clean my hair. No free internet, but didn't book expecting it. Very no frills, clean bed for the night kind of place. Pay little: Get little.
Was clean and a perfect location for me. $--- Per night and no shampoo in the room?Wifi costs $2.99 per device? This is just silly stupid. 'Gauging' came to mind.I understand the market is tight and Silicon Valley is big prices.. But charging for WiFi? Come on - get real, this isn't Europe
Great deal in convenient area. Close to freeway and downtown Sunnyvale. Clean pool area and felt safe staying there. Wish they provided more toiletries
Very tight quarters.
I like the set up of the room and the location of the hotel. I didn't like how small it was. The towls were ruff And small.
value great location.
This guest did not leave comments about this hotel.
not dated. rehab-ed. strict rules about boisterous conduct .. no refrig or coffee in room, but coffee at front office

The Staff was the best part of our stay. The bathroom has mold and/or mildew growing on ceiling. The room was small.
Very spacious with couch, desk, and coffe table. AMAZING waffles for breakfast. Folded swan towels were a nice touch. No butter for waffles. A little sad there was only coffee, no orange juice. The tub was very high so watch out stepping in. personally I didn't mind the small. But the hallway smelled of Indian food.
the staff were very friendly, rooms clean and roomy. breakfast.
Building and the room were both clean enough. Hotel is very small and quiet on the inside. Non-smoking room smelled of cigarette smoke. Wifi was slow and mostly unresponsive.
Breakfast was free Rom was dirty asked to be move to another room. Guy at the desk acted like I was putting him out to do his job. Did feel like I was a valued customer. Rooms out dated and the price was not worth it.
location. I use to put all my clients at this hotel and conduct meetings there because of their proximity to us. The customer loved it because of what was around the hotel and the hotel was in very good condition. Run down, needs a total overhaul. Has lots of competition in the surrounding area, but they could be so attractive, plus they are known because they have been there for so long. Their price was lower than hotels right around them, but that is because they are so run down (by today's standards). They should go for it and update the whole hotel and then advertise the hell out of it. It could be considered a boutique hotel which would differentiate it from other brand name hotels.
Rate was good Access to room was fine Room was clean Newer in-wall AC unit Quiet (mostly) Parking was free (and had enough spaces) WiFi was working, but barely It's a little tricky to get in/out of (have to be traveling in the right direction on Campbell Ave, not the easiest freeway access despite being next to the freeway) It's quite loud when people walk outside your room (upstairs)
The location is in a very nice area of Campbell. You can walk to Downtown Campbell with ease and there are good dining options around. The breakfast is very good; it proved beyond expectations. This place is shady and dirty. The jacuzzi wasn't officially closed during our stay....but the grey grime floating in it did not entice a dip. The walkways were covered in trash and bird feces. Cobwebs adorned the railings throughout the complex. Some of the doors DO NOT latch completely; in your carelessness it could be very easy to leave the door completely ajar. The shades and curtains do not cover the windows entirely, leaving late sleepers suffering through sunlite.
Friendly front desk, clean room, extensive breakfast that ends 10am Monday thru Friday and 11am weekends and holidays.
Friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast. Excellent location for our purposes. Clean and comfortable rooms.
Location. Great breakfast. Quiet. Broken door lock.
Very friendly staff, overall the rooms are nice, clean. Bed was comfortable. Close to where I needed to be for meetings. Breakfast room was large, clean, good selection, good coffee. Would return for work trips, especially for the price! Took >10 minutes for the hot water to get warm...so much so that the first day I showered I didn't even notice the water getting very warm at all even after letting the water run and run for several minutes. My room must have been the farthest from the water heater! Additionally, the room coffee maker had ~1cm of stagnant looking water sitting at the bottom of the reservoir (gross), though because of the free coffee with breakfast it did not matter.
Room carpet very stained, couldn't tell if it had been cleaned. No matresss pad. Faucets loose, black mold in shower.....
Very friendly, professional front desk staff, clean room, great location. Even complimentary breakfast. Definitely great value! Nothing!
Well kept facility, good breakfast for the price, best price in the area for a hotel with two beds in a room, close to Shoreline Amphitheater. Out of the way location.
It was where I needed it to be. It was clean and easy to deal with through Kayak. Just a place to sleep. Nothing noteworthy.
Convenient location; always feel welcome - have stayed there 15-20 times over past 3-4 years. No
I was bitten by the bedbugs. It was terrible!
It was in a pretty good location since it does have a Palo Alto address and is right on El Camino Real. But, it is not right in the heart of Palo Alto near downtown or Stanford. They do offer a free bag of chips and free water (Kirkland brand) in the room. And, there is a coffee maker if you need it. EVERYTHING! This is a total "bait and switch". The website presents a cute, quaint hotel both through the photography/logo and language that is used. It is anything but. I looked in the closet and saw an old, used "Days Inn" paper cup (why has the closet not been cleaned out!!!), and it made sense. This must be a former Days Inn. The rooms are motel-style where they open into a parking lot. They feature a weak chain for the door. I was 1,000% disappointed, especially for the price. The website said, "our continually updated, one of a kind guest rooms feature plush beds, modern bathrooms, and a full array of amenities." This place is nothing like that description. It is not at all updated. It was formerly a Days Inn, and it looks like an old, out-of-date Days Inn that would be better in a low-end neighborhood not Palo Alto. The only good thing about the room is that it had a large flat screen TV with Dish Network. And, there is free wi-fi. The beds have no headboards, the pillows are bad, the bedspreads have stains, the lamp shades were cracked and showing yellow water stains, the furniture is way out of date, the hangers were old, the room is super small (had to put the luggage rack in front of the entry door to have room). The bathroom is bad – the door didn’t even close all of the way. The towels are like loofah sponges - very thin and really rough. I noticed wear spots on the carpets and the walls were dinged and nicked. And, sadly we paid $238/night - $270+ with taxes/fees (based on the language and imagery on their website). It is really bad. I would AVOID this hotel like the plague unless they offer a super, super low rate. The lady at the desk claimed that they were renovating (I saw no evidence). I highly recommend you wait until the renovations are done and then give it a try (but, only once you have photo confirmation of the end result). If their renovations live up to the website imagery and language (and price), then this will eventually be a fine local hotel. But, right now, it is not good at all. The lobby features tired wood paneling and very tacky decorations. And, they offer a "grab and go" breakfast, but it is super basic with plastic packaged muffins and danish. I highly recommend you avoid this hotel!!
I just liked everything about it nothing really negative. If I had to be picky the fact there wasn't many movies on the tv but everything is HD so how can I really complain?
You could hear every footstep from person in the room above.
Location It was loud, dirty and had lot's of "suspicious" customers. Definitely not recommended.
There was nothing good about this motel The building is falling apart. The stairs are held up by boards...very unsafe!!! Very scared. Lots of yelling, slamming doors, kicking and beating on walls. People digging in the dumpster. Couldn't stay another night. Had our money refunded.
Dirty and noisy. I was there for five days and had to get new key cards twice because they stopped working.
Staff Not secure quite a lot of police activity and window of my truck was smashed in and my stuff was stolen. Room was cheap till you figure cost of repairs to truck. Not safe
Value-for-money, clean and quiet Very limited facilities Basic Wi-Fi could be included in the room package; daily charges for paid Wi-Fi access on the higher side
Nothing It's vert old and dirty, so smelly. I couldn't tell what was in the sink!
Quiet No access to sodas after certain time
Close to the airport. Outside: -Obvious drug deals visible from the check-in office. -Prostitutes and their escorts in the halls. -Various men with dogs wandering the parking lot. Inside: -Plastic covered mattresses. -Noisy AC unit. -Broken refrigerator. -Cigarette burns on furniture and shower. -Thin walls.
The worst experience ever. I'll never stay again.
Palo Alto is full of more affluent folks, so it was wonderful to find this nice reasonable family place. Wi-fi, newer bath and lighting, comfy duvet, and 24 hr staff to answer a traveler's questions. Variety of restaurants and a Sunday Farmers' Market to enjoy. Coronet added to our pleasure at seeing the grandchildren. Glenna
Very friendly, helpful staff. Location right within Palo Alto. Traffic/street noise; could hear my neighbor next door. Older facility. Price for what you get wouldn't make sense anywhere else except in Silicon Valley or Manhattan.
It had a siting room and a small kitchen( microwave, sink, small refrigerator. The heater/ air conditioner was in the siting room and not the bedroom. Somewhat cold in the bedroom for this time of year. I also felt the price of the room was somewhat high for this time of year. There is no workout room.
Great location, very convenient to everything in Palo Alto. Good parking. Some upgrades to the room. Included a small kitchenette. Exceptional bagel place withing 1 minute of the motel. Staff was polite and efficient. Motel was fairly dated. Water pressure in shower was terrible.
Located close to the Stanford University campus. Murals painted on the exterior walls in the inner court yard are an interesting touch.
Friendly staff. Beautiful plants and flowers, especially pool area. Convenient to Palo Alto. Convenient to several restaurants. A bit downscale. Older motel with few room improvements. No elevator.
It is a good place to stay..and nothing bad about it
The Stanford Motor Inn was two miles from my appointment with Stanford University Medical Center and was an easy commute. I found my stay to be quiet and clean so I was happy.
The whole thing felt dirty, nothing in the room feels inviting. Also, that was the worst bed to sleep in, my neck is still killing me.
It was clean. Very very old facility. Uncomfortable. Cheap as hell. Three little tiny pillows. Couldn't even get a big pillow. They claim to have breakfast but it's a few muffins and some cereal. No plastic plates or silverware. And you can't take anything back to your room. Overall it was just a terrible experience.
Easy access to 101 freeway and San Jose airport Very slow wifi and lack of open electrical plugs.
Location was convenient to my work. No shampoo provided
Place looked nasty, sure sheets seemed clean but old, run down, and flat pillows. Nasty green carpet from the 70's, and just reminded me and my wife of the rich motel. Everything really, especially the uncomfortable beds!
May not be the swankiest place around, but bed was warm and comfortable, and shower hot. Staff very helpful. Wi-Fi, cable, refrigerator, and airport shuttle. Wi-Fi was a bit spotty at location of table in room
I liked how decent it looked for the price we payed it was a nice place. Clean enough for us as in no blood or insects crawling around like other hotels reviews I had read. Nice little studio type of rooms with nice wood floors and a big enough queen bed for two The shower was a one person shower so it wasn't very spacious. The beds were not very comfy but if staying over night it's not a big deal and lastly the locations of the staircases were a bit confusing.
There is no lock to the restroom in the room.
I liked the fact they don't use that bug spray in the room most hotels in that price class use. The furniture in the room is newish and the bedsheets didn't have any faint skidmarks that didn't get washed out. What do you expect?? This is a cheap place (even though you sold it to me for $80+ when it's worth $65 after taxes). Hotel staff does not place a hold on the credit card for incidentals but charges the credit card after the guest arrives for $100. This means I have to monitor that those $100 are returned and this is extra work I do not appreciate. I think $80+ whatever I paid is totally overpriced for this hotel, what the hell are you people thinking? The place is also loud and the blinds in the room afford little privacy.
comfortable bed sheets weren't clean neither were some of the towels tv was static no pool or hot tub kayak says there is supposed to be
Leaving early Feeling like I might be robbed or killed at any moment.
Usually stay at Hilton properties (every Hilton/Mariott was sold out the week I was in town) so that's what I have to base my review on. They were remodeling and trying to improve cleanliness. The staff was friendly. Close to airport, $10 uber ride to downtown. Property was older, somewhat dirty, motel like with parking lot in front of rooms...
Service was friendly, quick and simple. Happy to help with directions. The water temperature in the sink was didn't get cold.
The location was close to downtown and the airport. It was a $90 room vs $200 for a Hampton Inn or similar close by. It was definitely an Inn and not a hotel but the location was safe and rooms were clean and retail was close for dinner. For the price and expectations it was fine. Being a smaller inn and independent you get what you pay for. It was clean and everything worked but it was a bit noisy being next to a busy road and it was raining and the rain flowing through the gutters was quite loud.
Staff was friendly. Fairly close to shops and attractions if you have a car. This hotel was very old, doors open to parking lot with large windows that were not very secure, the bathrooms had rusty features, the tub was stained, spiderwebs in windows, thin towels, and minimal toiletries, the rooms were stuffy, the thermostat didn't work. I would not choose to stay here alone.
The room was big and roomy Location and overall appearance of the hotel. It's a rundown place that had a half ass face lift. I also didn't like the fact that the front desk accusede of smoking and denied me from ever booking there again. I wouldn't stay here even if they paid me.
