Right when you walk out of the front doors, you have a wonderful view of the beach. The A/C worked well. The breakfast was decent, and the man working the desk in the morning was much more kind than the man working during check-in the previous afternoon.
The place is pretty old, ragged, and the first man working at check-in was quite unfriendly. I went to my room and was very underwhelmed for the price of the room. As I left my room and pulled the door shut, the handle came with me. I told the rude man at the desk and he acted like he jotted it down, but was clearly uninterested in fixing it. At night the street right outside the hotel gets pretty rowdy with lots of beer bottles, smoking and trash you have to walk through. You can definitely find a better hotel for the same price north of this place.
It was everything I wanted !! Clean rooms, good location. Staff was very friendly and polite!!! It is a good 3 stars hotel it's not a Hilton. so I don't understand the bad review from other guests. I couldn't find any problem in my room everything was clean and smell good.I loved the breakfast!!! Mach better then another hotels! Few second from the beach few minutes from the public transport - Everything you'll need.
It is not my first time in the hotel. I love the hotel - the staff are friendly and help me a lot. The room was clean and smells good! The breakfast was very rich. Location - the best!!! Good value for the money. And I tried more expensive hotel but it wasn't that good, so I canceled the reservation there and went back to Golden Beach. From now Golden Beach it's my favorite hotel in Tel-Aviv. :)
older rooms should be updated
The hotel has seen better days. It has not been maintained--in particular the entrance where the rug at the front entrance was filthy. I'm sure this was a good hotel in the 1950's or earlier but it needs to have money invested in it at this time.
Probably the following do not apply to every room, however I've seen 2 of them, and that's what I found: the whole hotel is decadent, not clean, awfully furnished, with also in some point concrete detached and abandoned on the floor and on terrace; the room wasn't absolutely as represented in the photos published (both in terms of size nor in terms of furnitures); the room smelled awfully (water or urine?); the moquette was dirty with big stains of unknown origin; the same for the tends and the sheets; the air conditiong wasn't provided with remote control, the only way to modify the temperature was to call the concierge to do it with its own remote control; the bath room was almost 1 sqm, with mold in the shower and no hot water.
Bed need to be change.
The sea view from the large balcony was wonderful.
Not much, free internet but feel that I paid the price of the night just for the internet because the hotel was really bad, nothing good about it in fact apart from the fact that it was right next to the beach otherwise it would have been really bad to stay more that the absolute necessary time at the hotel!.
The website is misleading. It looked like a large, nice resort hotel, but I doubted my eyes when I arrived at the address given by the website. I even asked at the reception if the hotel was the right one for which I made reservation. They had my reservation! Location is just across from the beach, near restaurants, shops, and convenient for "beach and party". It is very noisy all night as it is just on beach and shops. The price of other nicer facilitiy hotels are over $200. It depends on what's your priority and your budget level. Free pc is available in the lobby. Breakfast is not too bad. Choose the beach view rooms with more money, if you decide to stay in this hotel. Otherwise, you would feel quite miserable here.
This hotel is like a motel in the us. Shower is so small, and poor facility. Receptionists don't know much about Tel Aviv city amenities and bus roots.. This hotel is for young people who love beach and parties with low budget.
