5.5 Okay
Pros: It was clean and very silent! Because I was alone there!
Cons: I would like to have some rafting and jungel tour activities in Tena. It s look like this hostel is the good place for doing that. In booking time,it was full and just 2 bed was free! But after arriving, I saw that there are nobody ! Even owner( as I heard he is german) was not there. Just a woman who could not speak english. Very boring time there. She gave me a bed in 3rd floor. I was alone and just saw 2 guys from netherland in kitchen. It is not allowed to drinking and eating inside rooms. Then you must go to kitchen. In public area(kitchen) the lights turning off automaticly each 5 minut! And you must turn it on countinuesly! Water pressure is very weak in 3rd floor. I did not chech it in other floores. Even I did checked the hostel in secound day in booking.com. It was sold out! And I was alone there!!! For each activity you must be a group more than 3-4 person. Then I couldent do anything there. Just wasting my time and money!

Pros: On my arrival day I was provided with a fresh clean room after at the tour desk I was able to sign up to amazing authentic rainforest tours. The best value for the money. The lodge exceeds my expectations and the pool was recently remodeled and the weather was great. The lodge provides transport from Tena and its surroundings. They were able to serve delicious vegan meals. For myself my family and I it was the best place to be in the rainforest in a foreign country. They also speak fluent English and German. Highly recommendable!
Cons: I loved everything
7.0 Good
Pros: Location was nice. Night tour was great. Acco is basic, however large swimming pool is a bonus. Airco worked well. App contact prior to arrival was excellent

Pros: It is beautiful and the staff were very accommodating
Cons: Nothing everything was wonderful
8.8 Excellent
Cons: Difficult to find and located in a very poor barrio with a very bad road
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is 1km from the town but it feels worlds away. It is quiet, peaceful and very relaxing. The grounds are beautiful, great for bird watching. There are plenty of walks around the hotel and if you are lucky you may see Pancho, a scarlet macaw. Our room was big, clean and we had a nice views of the garden. The staff are very friendly and welcoming.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The team at Terra Luna Lodge was SUPER accommodating!! They made sure every need and request we made was met...my boyfriend wanted to extend our stay!!
Cons: I can’t really think of anything. Maybe the water could get too hot in the shower with not enough cold water pressure to balance it out.
7.0 Good
Pros: The staff were fantastic! Very friendly! Beautiful well-kept landscaping. Nice jungle feel. Quiet. Good breakfasts.
Cons: It was VERY hard to find, even using a GPS and maps - especially at night. We appreciate the remoteness of it, if only you can get there. Maybe they could provide specific instructions to guests and have more signs to direct you there. It was also expensive. We expected much more for this price.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great place. Friendly staff, quiet location, wonderful pool with variety of outdoor seating, good breakfast. We could easily walk into town once we knew the way along the little lanes, though the restaurant had a good menu and so we only walked in during the day. Rooms set in nice garden. Special dinner on New year's Eve.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: This is a nice. comfortable and quiet hotel. Our room was quite big, and the bed was amazing - really huge and comfortable. The hotel grounds are pretty, and the swimming pool seemed nice (though we didn't have any spare time to try it out). In conclusion, I enjoyed staying here - since the room was comfortable and the atmosphere was restful.
Cons: The breakfast is served only until 9:00, and my husband claims the room had a strange smell (I personally didn't smell anything). Another downside is that the hotel is somewhat far away from the town itself (about 1.5 KM) and to get there you must walk on a long, unpaved road. We walked it a couple of time, but it's probably best to take a taxi.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: This was one of the cleanest and nicest hotels I've ever stayed in!! It is well worth the money to stay here.
Cons: There was nothing that I didn't like about this place.
10.0 Excellent

The room was really nice , I would say the nicest one we have been so far in Ecuador , with AC a huge king size bed and cable TV with English channels
Cons: Nothing bad to say
Misahualli Amazon Lodge - Tena - Building
7
8.5 Excellent (210 reviews)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved the cleanliness of the place. Our Cabana was perfect for 2 adults and our 2 children. The landscaping was absolutely gorgeous. So many coconut trees and flowers. No matter where you were in the lodge, you had river view. The staff was wonderful and friendly. We got to chat with the chef, who made our breakfast and served us fresh black berry juice and coconut juice. It was the best coconut juice we ever had! The chef was knowledgeable about food, next time we will splurge on the food there. We had a hiking tour that led to the waterfall near by the lodge. We also had a tour that took us to the zoo down the Napo river. My family and I enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back!
Cons: We ate lunch and dinner in the town because the restaurant was pricey, which I didn't mind going into town. But we did have to get a boat to cross the river and they charged us. I wish the lodge could have had a designated boat that wouldn't charge us. But I would still go back and pay the couple of dollars for the ride to the town. It was just a surprise.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful resort, extremely helpful and caring staff (Blanca and Maximillian) fresh and delicious food. Very close to town, cute and comfortable cabinas. Pool is an extra plus and wonderful to swim in a hot
Cons: Nothing not to like

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Room had everything that was needed. And it was clean. Staff was nice and helped out in anything needed. Always greeted everyone kindly. Rooms had AC, hot water, and ok wifi. And it's location is perfect, 1 block away from the Malecon. It's also close to restaurants, bars, shops, etc.
Cons: Wifi signal wasn't always great. You need to wake owners up to get in the hotel after dark.
6.3 Good
Pros: Quiet. Across the street from a good rafting company. Mostly clean, although I found my feet getting little dirty. Provided both soap and shampoo. Sheets changed regularly.
Cons: Water stands almost a cm deep in shower stall. Sink is very low and slants so that soap won't stay on edge. WiFi slow--phone calls end abruptly and Netflix films pause regularly. But WORST: The hotel cheats in charging guests. Tourists from other countries do not have to pay the national I.V.A. tax. The hotel charged me $45.05 which was the booking.com rate plus BOTH taxes, but their receipt shows that the hotel was paying only the local tax and keeping the national tax. What the hotel kept for themselves was several dollars more than what booking.com said I would owe for the room BEFORE taxes. They don't speak English, so it was too complicated to try to question the situation. But I have my receipt as proof.
8.0 Excellent

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff were great and friendly. Very accommodating in arranging activities spur of the moment due to our limited time and our desire to do multiple activities. Also very accommodating to our limited gluten-free, sugar-free diet. The jungle night hike from the hotel was great!
Cons: The road off the main highway up to the lodge was a little rough and rocky. It is doable in a sedan, but you have to take the road slow. A car with some height clearance would have been better for us.
7.0 Good
Pros: We enjoyed the beautiful location of the resort in the hills in a quiet location which as they stated did not have as many bugs. The rooms were beautiful and clean, with decorations reflecting the Amazonian culture. The rooms had a bit of quirky layout with a water closet on one side of the room, and when finished using the bathroom, you have to walk around the bed to the other side of the bungalow to wash your hands. A bit of a pain in the middle of the night. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. We enjoyed relaxing by the pool reading and taking in the scenery.
Cons: We were a little disappointed with the value for the money. Each day we had problems with not having water or not having hot water and the door on one of the rooms didn't lock properly. There seems to be some issues at the resort that doesn't get addressed and for the price we expected more. The food was delicious but way over-priced and it would have been nice to have more options. The resort is only 5 km from Misuahualli so you can get away but it would be nice to have more affordable options. Beds/ pillows not so comfortable as well.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely manager. Took the time to properly welcome staff. Very peaceful. Great food.
Cons: If you drive park close to the bottom of the driveway in provided spots. Driveway quite steep for a 2×4.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We loved the amazonian yet modern decor! We also enjoyed the layout of the property with the view of the pool, jungle and river. Our cabin was romantic, spacious and comfortable. The breakfast offered many delicious options such as eggs al gusto, crepes, french toast, fruit salad, yogurt and granola, coffee, fresh natural juice, and bread. We would love to stay again in the near future!
Cons: The sheets and towels had a very bad moldy stench at first, but as soon as we mentioned it to the manager they were changed swiftly to fresh and clean linens.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel, great location, dinner was great. Very clean
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view and nature is out of this world! Simply amazing
Cons: The pool wasn’t heated... But for a sunny day it’s perfect.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location is great - feels like you are in the heart of the Jungle. Very friendly stuff. there are only 5 guest houses, so it feels like you live in a big family. The food in the restaurant was delicious and varied every day.
Cons: I would like the prices to be a little less as it is Ecuador, not USA. But the price was as if you are in a good hotel in Santa Monica, CA.

Pros: Male owner was very accommodating and let us into our room early morning so we could leave bags before our tours.
Cons: Screen on window broken, light on landing missing, blood on floor in our room. Had to ring few times and wait to get in gate.
7.5 Good
Pros: The hammocks and outdoor space was lovely. The location was also really great. The fan in the room is important to keep cool. The windows in the room were nice and bright. We moved to a room with our own bathroom which was nice.
Cons: The WiFi was too weak to do much with it -- mostly had to use my phone data. The kitchen was difficult to use and outdoors. The place was hard to find at first and I had to call the place to find them.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was exceptional.
Cons: Nothing.
4.5 Okay
Cons: the reception of the woman was miserably bad, i had booked two rooms but she claimed that it was only one room and did not even want to look at my booking confirmation. not a smile, not a greeting, just sour as lemon. thankfully there was also an extremely nice and friendly man who made the stay ok.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice location, nice staff
2.5 Mediocre
Cons: - the building is facing a very noisy street, buses, cars and trucks go on all day... i though would get better after 10pm but the unbeliveable noisy kept on the whole night... if you are able to sleep here you probably wouldnt notice a nuclear attack in your home. - the room is very hot during the day, and there isn't even a fan to help - the owner isn't very receptive
7.0 Good
Pros: Fairly central location. Excellent value for money.
Cons: Basic small room with little done with available common space.
