The hotel is conveniently located close to the motorways. The main building as well as the grounds look beautiful. Breakfast was good and parking free. I think I expected a bit more of the room (in the orangerie). Also, one criterion for choosing this hotel was their restaurant, which we unfortunately never had the chance to test because it was fully booked. The next closest restaurant was in Le Mans.
Excellent room and excellent staff service especially reception staff
friendly and helpful staff, excellent service and beautiful surroundings Interior decor had been changed which took away the' look' of a Chateaux
Comfortable rooms (outside main building). Choice for dinner was limited, but quality was good and good wine. At night, insufficient light near the auxiliary buildings, which make it difficult to find the path and see the room numbers. Floor, in the otherwise comfortable bathroom, was rather cold, probably due to age of the building.
Location good for Autoroute Poor room and not very clean
The building looks impressive on arrival and reception girl was really driendly and helpful. The reception looked like a YMCA! After arriving at such an impressive building, the interior is modern and has been replaced with a contempory hotel fit out.The room was fine, but lacked any period features, cheap carpet. Road nearby which could be heard at night. Expensive for what it offers.
Setting, size of room, excellent shower Furnishings and decorations tired; food rather ordinary
Location, relaxing, modern and old mixed well together
Staff very attentive and freindly Restaurant menu - everything came with peppercorns, meat tough, and limited menu
hotel nearby the Le Mans 24hr race, both located at the D323 road only 40k apart opening hours of reception should be longer or the check in time should be possible before the start of the race, thus latest in the morning of arrival on Saturday and not between 4pm and 11pm (the race starts at 3 pm).
Easy access to town centre and adequate parking Reception could have been more welcoming - must have had a bad day
The hotel is a short drive or walk from a very pretty village with some nice shops and a good selection of restaurants. Our room was very small and had a sloping ceiling making it impossible to stand up at one end.It was approached by two flights of extremely steep stairs, there was no lift and we were not offered any help with our luggage. The shower was not able to be fixed to the wall over the bath.
Clean and tidy, bit dissappointed that the restaurant was not open, I had not been warned of this although I had only booked the night before and we were very tired and did not really want to go looking for a restaurant. A very tired decor, needs sprucing up a bit.
The staff were very amicable, helpful and keen to please. It is not a 5 star hotel, nor does it pretend to be. It is however a reasonable hotel but more expensive than other reasonable and like hotels.
Good food and comfortable rooms
Ok hotel for the money, Englishspeaking ;-)
The chateau, the gardens, the hosts, and the food were all superb!
The hosts provided a fantastic welcome and made me feel very comfortable during my stay. The chateau is immaculately decorated, with interesting rooms in several different styles. This is one of the nicest places I've stayed and I would strongly recommend it to anyone.
