This is the sister Hotel of the Weigh Inn, which now offers 9 newley refurbished non-smoking en-suite bedrooms, boasting uninterrupted views over The Pentland Firth to the majestic Orkney Islands. Our quality Upper Deck Restaurant, quiet lounge bar and the now famous Popeyes complete the package. It prides itself on having the very best cuisine in the North of Scotland, in the most picturesque of settings, overlooking Thurso Bay and Scrabster Harbour. The Upperdeck Restaurant has long had the reputation as The Steakhouse in the area serving the most succulent of Aberdeen Angus Steaks and freshest of fish and seafood
Lovely staff and a fantastic position on the north coast. Just a hop away from John o groats and other attractions.
Nice location, Clean good sized room and good value with breakfast
The room had all facilities in good condition. It faced the harbour giving a good view.
I thought the hotel had recently been renovated as everything was clean & spotless. Was definately value for what we paid for Bed & Breakfast.
Only down point was you had to go next door to have breakfast which could be a problem in winter.
Comfortable modern beds, furnishings etc and good breakfast options
Wifi not working and no one to assist as no one in office outside business hours
The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food in the Upper Deck restaurant was brilliant. We would definitely stay at the Ferry Inn again.
The only drawback was walking outside to go for meals - it was lovely weather when we were there so it wasn't a problem but might not be good on a rainy day!
Hotel was excellent. Reception was very good especially as they had no knowledge of our booking, but they sorted out a room for us.
Friendly restaurant manager
Had to go into building next door for breakfast and also to check out. Meals in restaurant were quite expensive for what they were (bar food)
Well decorated, comfortable accommodation. Friendly helpful staff. Good food.
