The hotel is close to Pisa airport where I had an early flight, I ate in the resteraunt and found the food bland and the service medioca, the head waiter thought it correct to conduct loud conversations with other memebers of staff whist people were eating, not very professional
Breakfast Buffet only. The stay was not very good, but ok.
Staff extremely helpful and very accommodating especially as we had a very early departure.
The staff were helpful, the location was central for Pisa airport and for getting into Pisa by bus. the breakfast was good The upkeep of the hallways was poor, there were plastered holes in the walls everywher
Very handy if staying near the airport, but a bit out of the way for getting into pisa.
My daughter liked the swimming pool. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The menu could be a little more varied and there is nothing within walking distance although one could walk to the nearby town. Have more than one internet station.
Very convenient for Pisa Airport and late/early flights in and out of same. Breakfast very good. Day time reception very helpful. Hotel shuttle bus very useful. Welcome by night reception could have been more friendly. To me the reception at an hotel is very very important and sets the tone for the stay.
everyone was very nice and very helpful. no
The hotel has a pool, did not entre as this was very cold and the breakfast was good. Staff where rood as they though we where English but not we where from Scotland, the room air con was not working, the hotel runs a bus shuttle to the airport and the centre but was not accommodating for the duration that we where there and only run into the centre at the week end, therefore expensive on a taxi and charge almost 6 euro before you get in to the taxi and that was the whole reason for staying at this hotel so we could get the bus shuttle too and from the centre of pisa.
Breakfast was wonderful, nice spread. Close to bus that took us to Pisa town center for €1. Front desk staff were not very friendly/helpful, at first they were unwilling to send their free shutle to pick us up from the airport and suggested a taxi that would have cost €15. First room we were given smelled terrible because of a flood in the bathroom. Hotel was booked, so could not move to another room. Hotel wifi was not very fast or reliable.
I liked the fact that it is value for money, breakfast was excellent and it was right infront of the train station. the water was sometimes a little bit cold
nice rooms, clean, friendly and professional staff no
Very Good location to see the local sites
I stayed for business so the location was great that it was in front of the train station. Mini-bar was really expensive and you need to pay for internet. The hotel would be even better if these prices can be cheaper.
Location (for the station), very good breakfast - especially the pastries! Slow desk service
The room was very clean and had good air conditioning, and the room was very quiet and comfortable.
central location, breakfast ok, service ok aircondition at the room was out of order
The housekeeping was very good with rooms made up quickly and efficiently.Housekeeping and restaurant staff were very helpful I felt reception could have been more friendly
the room is very clean& the staff are very good welling to help all the time the reataurant doesn't offer much varity of food, but the hotel is good
The wellcome of the personnel & the parking facilities. The location. The cold water as hot water was not hot ..!!!
Every things were or.
Nice facility for the money, very nice room. Front desk staff and wait staff very attentive. We were told our breakfast was included when we checked in but to find out in the morning it wasn't. The head waiter was not very nice about the situation, he was a jerk. Not well located to sites, this hotel is in a residential area.
view from the room window.
The hotel is very modern, room was beautiful, bed comfortable, linens fine. great view of leaning tower of pisa. we left some jewelry behind and the housekeeper came running after us with it. don't find that too often these days. also dinner in dining room was quite lovely. staff very attentive.
good of all! no
Amazing view of the Tower of Pisa and Cathedral! A bit outside the city so more relaxed and quiet atmosphere in the hotel. Gorgeous pool and outside area. Beautiful facilities and state of the art room. Totally great hotel and would stay there again in a minute!
i liked how helpful the staff were, i liked the free wi-fi access, and i loved the design of the hotel and how it was furnished, and the cleanliness of the room The breakfast was not up to the 5 star hotel standards
Very new Modern Hotel Can't believe that they not provide Sliper. Breakfast is not enough for all guests
The staff were efficient and friendly and the facilities in the hotel and rooms were of a very high standard. Breakfast was excellent.
Modern feel Difficult to find using the Booking.com directions
Gaia and family and extrordinary. The building was clean and well kept. Close to tower etc. Great friendly dog! Only bummer was the loud road noise due to location, and then no breakfast provided, but we loved the place and people. Just take your ear plugs and some coffee to prepare yourself in the nice clean kitchen!!!
The landlady was extremely friendly and helpful, and the room clean and very stylish. I would highly recommend this for anyone staying for a few days in Pisa looking for a small, family-run place to stay.
Very well located, very clean and the lady at the front desk was particularly welcoming and very helpful.
Convenient to train station. Helpful staff. Hotel is clean and well maintained. It is quite a distance to the main part of town.
Friendly, helpful staff. Very convenient for the station - but still in a pleasant location. Wifi would have been nice.
Good Hotel, clean room, friendly staff
very modern hotel position: near the train station, but the station is quite far away from the city center; breakfast not included and not complete (without yogurt, fruit, corn flakes...)
Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean and location close to the train station and number 1 bus stop. No tea and coffee making facilities in the room.
2 windows broken in my car parked outside. suggest a private parking lot!
The hotel was very comfortable and the location for us was very good, close to the port. brekfest was poor
Tidy, friendly personnel, We've booked a non smoking room and we've received a smoking one...
Outstanding service from the staff! The concierge recommended a restaurant that served us the meal of a lifetime! Also, the hotel was fresher and cleaner than I expected from some reviews.
The people were very nice and helpful. The facilities and its decoration was very nice. (They had a washing machine that may have been included) The shower for the second floor had a lot of mold. I think they should clean it, including the walls at least each week. The individual lights were in my opinion too bright, so they illuminated the whole room and bordered the other guests.
The view, the atmosphere.
Terrific views from room windows; top of the hill with great breeze; good breakfast on the terrace Very difficult to find; girl at the reception desk could have been much friendlier & more helpful.
Excellent hotel, very quiet location and beautiful view, very good staff, excellent confort. Hotel La Vedetta is a magnificent base for explore Tuscany. Free parking place!
For one night it is ok, I would not prefer to stay there longer Hotel was hard to find, room was very small, during the summermonths they also run a restaurant, the food is good but the waiters are totally untrained, some of them rude and unfriendly and we waited 1,5 hours for our food; if you have no car, do not choose this hotel
Ocean views A couple of computer terminals would be handy
The location and the fact that the hotel was difficult to find. The streets getting to this hotel were narrow, just large enough for 1 car the drive getting to this hotel was so difficult I had planned to stay 2 nights but decided it was just too difficult to navigate the narrow streets to this hotel that I cancelled the second night and found a hotel that was easier to get to.
The reception welcome , staff in general were very helpful ,spoke good english, the size of the superior bedroom with fantastic views. Car parking was sometimes difficult due to size of car park, however parking was available on street close by.
Wifi access should be included into room price.
TV had 2 English Language channels The restaura was billed as 'gourmet' but in practice the food was quite ordinary. The receptionist displayed a curt and disinterested manner. WiFi was billed as 'available' but they insisted on cjarging 3euros for an hour. Then keeping us waiting to print out a code. Thus we were put off right from the first moment. Oddly there were free soft drinks in the mini-bar. It would br more custermer-friendly to off er a smile and announce that WiFi was unlimitted and free, and then charge for any minibar drinks if they are really so hard-up that they need an extra 3 euros per customer!
modern look. one speaks english at the desk, not only italian.professional behaviour.
Nice comfy bed, clean and complimetary mini bar The 'complimentary' breakfast should be marked as continental as the lady refused to fill the hot breakfast up until all the dry hour old egg were finished. There was not enough food for the minimal guests staying at the hotel each day. I would rather pay than have rationed complimentary breakfast.
Restaurant food quality, presentation and service; hotel staff availability and kindness Room to cold
Very professional. Smart, clean and sophisticated.
Excellent room quality and comfort. Very limited facilities - no bar, restaurant not corresponding to hotel level.
Good breakfast, nice room, quite, friendly service, good bed.
free coffee bar, very good breakfast
Easy to find, free parking, nice bed Paying for Wifi looks like an interesting concept, but how much value for money is it, if you only want to check your email? Furthermore, the minibar in the hotel room did not have any wine, beer or spirits. This I would have been willing to pay for!
Modern room. Free minibar. Free drinks in lobby. Great restaurant. Very good breakfast buffet. Bathroom lacks privacy because of glass door.
It is a modern desing hotel (probably too modern for my taste). it is not an outstanding hotel but for the purpose to stay 1 night in Pisa was ok. The floor seemed dirty however it is part of the design(?). There is not much to do around the hotel.
cleanliness of our room!
Everything excellent! The only slight problem was the lack of instructions to use all the technology!
Excellent top quality luxury modern hotel minutes from the airport and easy access to pisa central by bus is only 10 minutes.
Stile, little rooms, parkingplace We had to wait rediculous long for being served in the restaurant.A better breakfast-box when you have to leave the hotel early in the morning.NB.The given emailadress firstname.lastname@example.org doesn't work!!!
Excellent breakfast buffet. Outdoor patio area. Groovy neon lighting at night. A unique well excecuted design. Great service from the staff.
Fantastic Hotel, Staff great, very helpful and friendly. Although new all were striving to deliver a first class service and this was achieved Nothing
location ,breakfast, room ,staff all were decent and friendly bar & mini bar prices were extortionate. the evening meals were very fancy. would have prefered plain and simple food choice.would stay again but for no more than a couple of nights.
it is a new built hotel and quite funky with super modern decoration not many choices for vegeterian food, lack of english channels on t.v. there was only one channel:CNN. no coffee/tea/kettle available in the rooms
The room and the breakfast. The location, better for who is by car.
Very romantic rooms, well equipped. Very friendly and helpfull staff.
Very nice and helpful staff. The room was small.
The building was beautiful. My Friend asked for a beer from the bar downstairs to drink at the terras and was told to get it from his minibar. The room was smal but beautiful but there was this nasty stain in the toilet . The beach in front of the hotel was full with rocks and grafiti. There was no view from the hotel. The city centre was far away.
Very nice place, house and staff ! Newly equipped room and bathroom, good bed. Very clean and comfortable.
Great Hotel and even better Hosts! This is a very charming hotel and owned and family run. We really enjoyed the friendliness in providing recommendations and directions. Rated three star but after 3 weeks in Italy I would say it exceeded all the four stars we stayed at. If you are traveling here to enjoy the beach be sure to also book entry into one of the beach areas.
Hotel Gennarino is a family owned enterprise; we were made to feel extremely welcome. It is recently renovated and is absolutely beautiful! The location is an elegant residential area; the hotel is a magnificent private residence, facing the Naval Academy that is located on the beach. This area has been used by dignataries and royalty for vacations since Queen Victoria's time; she herself stayed at the H.G. It is just across the street from the strand for long oceanside walks. Breakfast lovely, including capuccino made to order. We were visiting friends in Livorno but H.G. would also be a great place to stay as a base from which to explore Tuscany. We will absolutely stay here again. Excellent value!
The staff is excellent and available 24 hours 7 days a week. They are friendly, informative and service oriented. The cleanest hotel. Very lovely and well kept. They take pride. The breakfast is a good start to the day and they are always consistent with their timing for everything. Worth more than 3 stars for sure. Everything was perfect.
Nothing The elevator to the 2. floor wasn't working proberly, and breakfast was very bad and looked like it had been out on the buffet for hours when we got down at 8 o'clock in the morning
near the center noicy but ok for one night
The best part was the location. It overlooked the Piazza Republica and the canal with boats in it. There was shopping and cafes around the corner and it was an easy walk to the port with my luggage to catch the ferry to Corsica The hotel was dark and dingy and felt a bit creepy. The room was very ordinary, but it was adequate for my needs, an overnight stay before catching a ferry.
It was like home from home. Staff exceptionally helpful and friendly, room was spacious and very comfortable, would definitely go there again no
Fairly clean, efficient at the desk (even if he had to do payments and coffee) and good central position. To be fair maybe we were unlucky: a large group of students occupied an entire floor with an important football match on television, so quite noisy. Breakfast is very basic but "offered" by the hotel. The sort of room where lights are crooked, door frames loose, basin cracked. Seems to be not looked after.
friendliness of the staff, the location, just next to the center, good price
We stayed at this hotel on 19-05-2010 before taking the ferry to Bastia, Corsica and again on 3&4-06-2010 on our return from Bastia. The rooms were comfortable and the hotel was quiet. It was conveniently situated for the ferry port. The hotel particulars stated that it was situated a short distance from Livorno Centrale Railway Station whereas it was almost two miles away and took half an hour to walk which was a bit tiring trundling baggage.
-the near to the ferry -no free parking in front of the hotel, -the garage is to far from the hotel, -much traffic in front of the hotel (24hrs), -the dangerous elevator in the second floor, -construction work, -horrible breakfast
The elevator was not working.
Easy to get to the beach and Pisa from where the hotels location is... The bed was lumpy and the boards under the bed broke from my weight (I only weigh 94 kilograms). The parking was abismal..There was an old man sleeping in the parking lot with his pants at his knees and his butt hole out in the open, also, other people park in the hotels parking spots and it's hard to get parking....The room was entirely too small...The shower was tiny and the location was not in a tourist friendly area (high crime area as told to my wife by one of the residents who lives behind the hotel). The other thing that bothered me was that there are people who actually live in this hotel.
The staff were very helpful on how to get to places and gave us a wicked tip on where to eat dinner or have some drinks! We also had a lovely breakfast that they included in our bill. I would recommend this to anyone on a visit to Pisa it's central to all things. I loved it all! Except my friend who was snoring like a freight train :)
For an overnight stay, its location to the tower is excellent. carpet in room was dirty and old, needs to be replaced.
The Hotel was clean but on the second stay was charged £10 for parking, be warned Really could do with a good DIY person to fix all the ill fitting doors and window panes. (Noisey)
Location; bus stop right at door; friendly staff at reception; first floor extremely loud, no door between hall way (bar) and guest rooms, thus difficult to sleep before last guests left bar
Renevations ongoing, internally looks really smart Very noisy, but part of being in middle of a city and having marble-esque staircases
the price was so expensive
It is in a perfect location 700 meters from the leaning tower.
Dingy, dull and at 40euro without breakfast was expensive. Could do with a updating. Nothing to recommend it aside from near a bus stop with direct service to the airport.
Half way between rail station and the tower, about 10 minute walk max from each. Easy to find, staff ok. Very basic old furniture, a 3 star hotel should have better decor inside. Bed comfortable and room size is ok, but the hotel is for sleeping only, no leasure or holiday purpose.
Staff were very helpfull, room was large clean and had air con. n/a
Our stay was very plesureable one, perfect location for all Pisa tourist attractions and nice walk away from the central train station for all transfers. Also nice located away from the airport. THey was nothing we didn't like during our stay.
The location is excellent - right beside the Tower and restaurants. The entrance to the hotel is on the 4th floor and there is no lift.
The location. It is a B&B and no hotel. Beds were broken, which is dangerous because I need physiotherapy to fix my back because of the incident. Furthermore, the owner/staff is unreachable and unfriendly when you need them. So bad service, big mess with administration. Besides, the shower and toilet seat were broken. Annoying sound of boiler in the bathroom when sleeping.
No No Staff, No reception. Hotel is on fourth floor and without lift
Fantastic location just 50 m from the Leaning tower, wonderful owner who picked us up at the airport at no extra cost at midnight, excellent room and free internet access Breakfast could be included in the price
very near pisa tower, good access to restaurants no lift, no double bed.. only 2 single beds joined together
The help was great! Very friendly and helpful. The room was worn out; there were too many beds and though the room was large it was not comfortable.
The room seemed newly renovated and the bathroom was nice. First impression of this place was not good, a lot of dirty old stairs welcomed us. Staff not so welcoming either. We got placed in the place "next door" which in fact was waaaay down the street. So you are no longer under the tower... The main place had coffee making facilities and a honor bar. This place nothing. The back door of this room did not lock, so it was not so safe and the area behind the door was filled with dirty laundry and trash. Over the main door to our room it was open space. So anyone could jump over, with help of a chair, not very safe huh? I do not recommend this place.
very near Leaning Tower...just a few steps away
It is difficult to say what I did like. I booked hotel because is close to port, morning after I was leaving to Sardinia. Pay eur 112 for such hotel seems too much. Poor room furniture. On booking.com breakfast was inlcuded while at Hotel reception was clear metioned it is not becasue generally people leaving to Sardinia don't get. The hotel rate is just bed. No further comment.
Excellent location for the ferries and going out to eat in the evening. Price and the quality of the rooms was also good.
The staff especially the receptionsit were v.goood. She directed us to the cantina a nearby restaurant wher we had an excellant meal loked afte rby entertaing and welcoming staff at very reasonable prices
vicinity to the port
A stopover on a long road trip from Bellagio to Rome. Dinner and Breakfast sufficed. Staff pleasant and accommodating. Some English but did not really understand how stressed we were when we arrived. Not Their fault! We could not find it- not in Livorno and the '25' street no did not register on GPS.Took us to a Hotel of same name 35 kms and 3hours out of our way. Hotel is actually in Stagno, in the industrial area next to McDonalds- we only found it with the help of some Livorno residents in a bar, who with the help of sign language rang directory assistance(not in Livorno phone book) and then the hotel.
Proximity to the port and highway. Reception staff very welcoming. A better choice could be offered for breakfast.
There is nothing good to say about this property. The hotel add does not provide correct information. We chose the hotel for the fact that it offered free wired internet in the room. This facility does not exist. The staff are not helpful and furthermore are incompetent.
on a main road next to a petrol station and mcdonalds this is near the port and an ideal stopover but no other reason. good reasonably priced food in eve but breakfast certainly not 4 star! a little souless, everyone appeaerd to be there as a stopover before getting early morning boat, not really worthy 4 star def only 2. Address on booking.com not correct when entered into sat nav took ages to find only after calling hotel,
Quite nearby to the ferry port if you are by car. This is in my opinion the only reason why one should book this hotel.
The receptionist was very friendly, polite, efficient and spoke good English. The hotel was air conditioned and nicely decorated and furnished. The bar area was attractive but unattended. Otherwise we might have had a drink there.Likewise the restaurant was completely empty of guests and staff. We went to the nearby Macdonalds to get something to eat. Entry to the hotel from the far side of the road was difficult.
It is near by the port no
nothing bed smell inside and outside the hotel, poor breakfast
Very personal service, with the family owners going out of their way to help us with information for our onward journey. Could hear the toilets from other rooms flushing, and our toilet was equally very, very loud!
Very convenient for us just getting off a ferry at night. Easy to find. Parking was essential.
Staff were really friendly and helpful.
Cozy home furnishings! In general, all enjoyed it.
Just one night( before our ferry to Sardinia) it was OK.
