The size of the room
While checking-in (August 29th), after 19 hours flight and before a long stay of 9 nights at this hotel, the reception attendant (presented himself as the hotel GM......) requested a fee of ~20USD for each hour before the official check-in time which is 15:00. I think that this is the only reason that will prevent me from coming back. This is pettiness and greediness without any good reason since the room was ready and they couldn't rent it to no one at that time. So I waited for 3 hours, became an angry customer and now I do not recommend my friends to come and stay there. A loss that is much bigger than that potential 60USD.
This is a very nice hotel, although quite an expensive one. The rooms are large and very well designed. The free coffee offered at the bar is absolutely delicious. The gym equipment is also ok: there is one machine that lets you train most of your body, plus a tapis rouland and a bike. There are also a few weights for free body exercise.
It is hard to get full dark in the room. The price is quite on the expensive side.
Free coffee anytime at the hotel's cafe. Two minutes walk to the train station.
No smoking area in the hotel The lights in the room are too dim.
Location was great, coffee cafe was delicious , size of room was wonderful
Air conditioning was struggling to stay cool
The coffee shop downstairs is great for getting breakfast in the morning with amazing (free for guests!) coffee and the staff friendly, the location is perfect the metro is just next to the hotel. The neighbourhood is great with lots of bars and restaurants but not crazy busy like Shinjuku etc. Rooms were big for Tokyo and very clean with excellent WiFi. We are a couple travelling together in our early 30s from the U.K. living in Dubai and would recommend.
If I had to be negative we struggled with the very firm bed but I think this is normal for Tokyo.
