Great place for families. Location was terrific.
We got upgraded to a suite which was excellent; nice view if your room is on the seaside (the opposite side might be less attractive) Quality of breakfast does not correspond to a 4* hotel; lobby is a bit shabby
Very clean hotel. Professional and very helpful and friendly staff. Magnificent view from the front balconies. The rooms are not sound proof, we could hear our neighbours through the walls or through the ventilation system. As well, we could hear everything that was happening in the corridor. The "orange juice" that was served at breakfast was very sweet and had an awfull artificial taste. There was regular coffee for breakfast, but it was not freshly brewed. I would expect higher standards in a 4**** hotel.
Nice pool, nice breakfast, spacious rooms, close to centre and beach of Tolon.
The fact that it was clean and there were 2 bars of soap. It was not up to 4* hotel standards
We were lucky enough to have a large room with beautiful views of the bay and pool side. Big, balconies with nice furniture allow you to have a romantic and enjoyable drink/dinner even if your teenagers are with you. Even though it is at the end of Tolo, it is within easy walking distance of most of the town's attractions, except Psili Ammos Beach which is a 30 minuite walk, so take a car. The staff was friendly, attentive, and very helpful. Breakfast was very good. The swimming pool and excellent views, friendly bar man. Wifi also a bonus. Quiet location but accessible to everything in the town. A comfortable hotel Despite these shortcomings, we will stay at this hotel again, but here they are in the interest of fairness and full disclosure. There is a steep slope up to hotel and its parking which our rental car refused to make. Luckily we could park in the back side of the hotel, but either way you have to negotiate stairs and corners. Unfortunately the hotel will not be easy for people with mobility difficulties. The bathrooms were kind of crammed and were equipped with a very loud, noisy and ineffective fan.
The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The steep access road was not helpful for my mother and dangerous when conditions were wet. We had an English school tour in the hotel at the time of our stay and they took over the lounge and dining room when they were around, which caused us to vacate these areas during these times - we felt that should have made use of the conference room for their lessons, at least.
We loved the village of Tolo. We were also very close to the beach and harbor. Our room had a great view of the sea and near islands. The hotel staff was friendly and very helpful.
Overrated. Too expensive do not believe what the advertisements states. Really dissappointed
Professional , helpful and friendly staff.Hotel's position and room's view.
nice swimming pool, parking, view, air condition hair in the bath
Polite helpful staff, great breakfast. Location not great, Tolo in general is not a very pretty town.
The staff was very polite and helpful. The pool was smaller but acceptable. Parking space was available, most of the times. Beyond that, nothing else too exciting. The hotel is classed as 4-star hotel, but in no way it is a 4-star hotel. Rather, it's 3-minus-star hotel with some "technical" upgrades. Not impressed at all with the location/facilities. The 4-star is very misleading; even the offered gym was not to the 4-star standards...
The family that runs it very nice, and helped us make our way around. We were going to Epidaurus for the theatre and this was a convenient location (approx. 35 min. drive). Lots to see in area, Napflio, Mycenae, Epidaurus. Lots of Greek vacationers too! The doors to rooms are very thin, wood only. You can hear every movement from other guests coming and going. New doors and some sealing would help.
It is a very expansive and attractive resort-style property at a good price. Hardly anything, but it's in pastureland and, so, really requires a car.
we loved this hotel, very clean, comfortable and peaceful. Not for those who want to be on the beach. Lovely pool. Breakfast is ok, not great but satisfying. Nafplion is a lovely town and worth visiting. You need a car if you want to stay at this hotel as it is about 2 km from town.
The room was spacious and had a nice balcony, the matress and the pillows were very comfortable. I found the location excellent beceuse it was very quiet and close to the city og Nafplio (by car). The heating facility (air-condition ) in the room made a lot of noise. Since I was there only for a relaxing weekend, it would be nice if they served breakfast until 11:00.
We stayed in August 2010, using the hotel as our base to visit Mycenae, Epidaurus, Tiryns etc. The hotel was quiet and very well-appointed. We stayed an extra night because we liked it so much. The pool was lovely and breakfast was good. Carpeted rooms and hallways helped to make it much quieter than many other places we stayed in during our holiday. The coffee at breakfast was on the weak side, but we asked if we could have something stronger and were given espressos free of charge. (So more a positive than a negative, really).
Very friendly stuff, quiet, spacious rooms, nice garden, a good value for money
old style hotel, big rooms ignorance of the staf
We were most pleased with this hotel. Everything was first class. No
Very little worked, ie internet, door to room. Staff smelled of Body Odour!! Breakfast was revoltingly poor!!
country side , city and beach nearby, luxury, design, epidavros, tranquility
The landsacape. Poor service in breakfast time, no natural juices, no wifi to the room.
I really loved the spacious rooms, and the staff was very polite, friendly and helpful. I was amazed by the size of the pool... Breakfast buffet was also very good. The only thing that stood out was the food (quality & taste). It was far from what I'd expect at a hotel like this. Not only was it disappointing, but it was - to an extent - very bad. At the buffet, dinner was very low quality, and did not reflect the overrated price. Room service was also charged an extra 30%.
The room was OK. The hotel is situated on a remote location. Ugly building. During the whole day there was loud music at the pool, beach and even during breakfast. Complaining does not help. The whirlpool in the bathroom caused an electrical short resulting in a power outage in the room. Hard beds. Unfriendly staff. No fresh orange juice at breakfeast, although there are lots of orange trees in the area. In short: the hotel is a big disappointment.
As international travellers over the past 40years we appreciated the level of appointment of the establishment and in particular the degree of attention to all aspects of standards. The staff were keen to help at all times. We were disappointed the Thalasso Spa was not functional at the time of stay. Evening entertainment even to a minimal degree would enhance your capabilities.
Brand new hotel, quit, large room, classic, nice pool, on the beach, deserves 5 stars. The staff who are keeping the hotel in good condition and clean, should be much more professional.
It was very silence place, the hotel is situated outside Kanthia village with its own beach and a huge swemming pool. Perfect place to forget the noise world. They sholuld offer also the All inclusive progame, for a perfect holiday.
New hotel, great pool and private beach Spa not available, no buffet breakfast during low season, low value for money
Luxury and great room, friendly pool bar staff
location, beach, and staff i would stay there for 6 months if i could afford it
The best thing about this hotel are its big rooms with plenty of space. They are well furnished and clean. I loved the Palamidi Castle view also. The position of the hotel makes being there with a car an imperative. It's more than 15 mins walking away from the center of the city, and the streets around it are very steep making women walking up and down in heels virtually impossible.
high speed Wifi DBL bed not available, using country side beds...
The room was large enough for five people. The staff did not speak english at all and they charged my credit card directly without asking me.
Huge cosy rooms and balcons with wonderfull view!!! Kitchen where you can cook a fast meal and big enough bathroom!!! Very friendly staff!!! Good location near the center, but not in the center. less than 5 minutes by car! Parking place too. :-) Without a car maybe it's more difficult to get to the center. The road to the hotel is small. The walls are thin and sometimes you can hear your neighbours.
Great place. Good location with everything close. Nauplie is a great place. Nothing fancy, but everything is ok. At this price, nothing to complaint.
Nice view of the city, quiet location, private parking in front door. Low WI-FI signal
spacious studio (for the price) with kitchen equipemnt. perfect internet connection (cable). some of the guests
The staff were very friendly and the apartments were very well designed and spacious
Beautiful designed and comfort rooms. Very kindly hotel owner, beautiful view from balcony, great and clean pool.
It was very peaceful, both because it was set back from the main town and there were hardly any other guests when we were there. The main man was very friendly. We also enjoyed relaxing on the balcony looking over towards the sea. There seemed to be a lot of tiny flies, particularly in the bathroom. Also the jacuzzi wasn't working.
view over bay
The staff were very helpful and friendly. The view is from the outdoor pool terrace is incredible and the facilities are great!
I checked out after one night, it was too noisy. Too many kids. Not what l expected. IMy fault in expecting a quiet experience at a weekend
Hotel stuff was very friendly and nice, location is very nice - close to the beach and Nafplio. Car parking is nice and safe. View from the room window and balcony was great! It had fully equipped kitchen. Safety box did not work. Bathroom was not so clean and shower did not work properly. Breakfast was very basic.
Amaryllis Hotel Apartments are at a beautiful location. Gorgeous view of the Argolikos gulf. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Tolo is a charming town.
restaurant, swimming pool, staff with nice people bed service
staff very friendly during the low season, lots of school groups, very noisy especially nights.
Great facility with great location. Good breakfast included with the price of the room. no
Convenient location to the beach and town. I thought the price was high. We were charged additional money to use the safe in the room and to have internet access.
our stay was very pleasant at the Paradise Lost Hotel, because of the nice swimming pool and the proximity to Mycenes, Epidaure, Nafplio..., the restaurant has little time of opening (it was never the good time for having a lunch or a dinner) and the manager could give a warmer welcome
Confortable, quiet, good value for money. Well equipped apartment style room, with small but adequarte kitchen. Secure room. Superb view (though rooms at the side of the hotel may have a more restricted view). Impossible to escape heavy smokers at breakfast - even outside!
The location is excellent! Right in the centre, but still in a quiet area just few steps from the main road. The pool is fantastic with a pool bar. Good breakfast. Nice, quiet rooms with air condition.
People are flexible and ready to help. Nice and well maintained swimming pool The breakfast buffet is a bit messy.....most of time, things are missing, coffee and tea are cold....so need improvements there
The 2-roomed appartment was very spacious with a few nice extra touchs. Breakfast was very nice and plentiful. Plenty of parking facilities. Hotel is a quiet location just off the main street and across from the sandy beach! There is no control or supervision by the hotel staff over the swimming pool area even though there are notices saying no diving - these are not enforced. Children were jumping in all over the place, running and climbing onto the hydro-massage wall of the pool. You couldn't sit in peace around the pool to enjoy a drink and read a magazine. The situation is an accident waiting to happen!
The room was good and the staff very nice A smell of fried food filled all the common spaces all the day; the air conditioning could not be adjusted; the parking is a public one and is situated across the beach, so we had to carry our baggages on the sand
The staff were very helpful and welcoming and the breakfast was copious and tasty. It was over-priced for the standard of accomodation. A basic room with little extra comfort. A tiny bathroom with bright white neon lighting and no ventilation. Cold floors and basic decoration. The windows onto the balcony were very hard to close. If it had been less expensive we wouldn't have minded.
Right on the beach, nice sea views, drinks and mezze available into the early hours. Room not too small, air con and balcony. Fairly long walk from car parking area.
Great, great location - two meters from the sea (couldn't believe it!) - and unbelievable view from my room. Good value for money and nice people (it's a family run hotel). Will visit again in the summer with my wife and kids and try to stay longer this time - I bet they'll love it!
The rooms were big and comfortable, breakfast was generous and the hotel was two steps from the beach. Air condition didn't fully work.
It was a perfect weekend getaway!! Loved the hotel, the staff and the location.
Beach, accessibility of ancient sites, cooking of special dinners for us
We got exactly what we expected. There was no overselling. The breakfast was fine and in line with expectations. The difficulty to find the hotel.
Difficult to find as it's actually two pensiones rather than one hotel.
Not the largest of rooms but well presented, boutique style. Excellent location in heart of old town with parking (free) not too far away and a lovely small balcony overlooking a quiet street. Amazing breakfast brought to your room. Nothing not to like.
Great breakfast with mainly homemade products, very friendly staff. Excellent decoration of rooms and lounge. The owner has a focus on the details.
Amymone is a stylish conversion of a Venetian building set one street back from the Harbour. Staff are very friendly and there are many nice touches. The beds are extremely comfortable and the breakfasts magnificent. We stayed in the Myrtia suite and would recommend it to anyone. In its class 5 stars.
Excellent Service Noisy bed
Clean rooms and very friendly staff
I loved everything about my stay :-) The staff were lovely, the room was great and the breakfasts were amazing. I will recommend it to all of my friends! It was a little bit noisy one night with people in the restaurant downstairs, but this did not bother me very much.
Very nice town (Nafplio), good position to discover the nice surroundings. Really pretty and charming hotel, very friendly staff.
Charming hotel in a charming town. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was very nice, very neatly decorated, and with a very comfortable bed. Great breakfast. We had a great, relaxing time. The only small problem was the proximity of kitchens for several restaurants (just across the street). But given the number of restaurants in Napflio, this is unavoidable.
The Amymone was wonderful! Beautifully restored 19th c mansion with cosy, romantic rooms, each differently decorated. Owner & staff are friendly and very accommodating. Breakfast included home-made preserves and freshly baked pastries. Nice choice for anyone, but especially good for a romantic weekend.
Friendly staff, very good price, renovated and very quiet location
Very peacefull, we were the only guests on one night. We arrived very late, and phoned to confirm. Staff were very helpful. Bathroom cramped. Door locks were found difficult to secure by some of our party.
A clean and friendly hotel with a nice swimming pool and good aircon in the rooms. A bit of a walk to town but location was therfore quiet. It is possible to park by Tolo beach teenagers may appreciate more to do at hotel eg. a table tennis table although there is full court tennis.
the pool closed very late The breakfast could have been a bit better, a few more items to choose from.
nice hotel in a cosy beach village
Quite good breakfast 1) There was an awful smell in the room coming from the bath, 2) We asked for double en suite and we got two single beds placed alongside, 3) The beach underneath is awful, 4) The air-condition was very dirty (like it has been never cleaned) and hardly cooled the room. Definably don't book in this hotel, there are so many (booking does not even have them) that you will surely find one far better.
Excellent place for family with children, the room was quired.
Clean, comfortable accomodations, very close to the beach, rigth in the heart of the town. Highly recommended if staying in Tolo.
Good location in the town of Tolos, direct access to beach. Parking just next to the hotel. Owner operating the hotel is friendly and helpful. Shower head can be improved - current shower head feels like spraying your own body with high pressure car wash nozzle.
i like and i know hotel staff and it have good place near the see.
I loved the location Breakfast...
The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, arriving late after hours to help us check in after our flight was delayed. There were 3 rooms available, and we could see all 3 to decide which we liked best. Each had their own unique personality, all very nice! There's a beautiful wood staircase that goes up to all rooms. It was fine for us, but could be a problem for someone with mobility issues (or very heavy luggage).
This is a delightful little (6 room) pensione a few streets back from the main square in Nafplio. The rooms are modern, clean, and nicely decorated. But the best part of our stay was the help we got from Magra (sp?) who runs the place. Her English is good, and she made us feel at home. Our favorite place we stayed in Greece.
location is very good, nearby the center of nafplion, but very calme
excellent location, friendly staff and clean room The room was extremely small (Attic double room). Luckily we r both thin, didnt bring suitcase and very in love...:). we were informed that this room was the only one that was too small therefore i would suggest to lower the price or maybe provide breakfast included in the price
The location is quiet but still near tavernas and shops. The room was attractive, spacious and clean and the bathroom very nice. I asked for non smoking and did not smell any smoke in the room. The best part was the wonderful caring attitude of the couple who run the pension. They went to great lengths to be kind and helpful, including helping us get gasoline during the strike.
Room was larger than average and each is decorated differently. No lift but I only had to carry my suitcase up one flight of stairs so it wasn't a problem. If you have a lot of luggage it might be something to consider.
The hotel is in the center of Nafplion. It is located in a narrow road with almost no traffic. All attractions of Nafplion are in walk distance, nevertheless it is very quiet. A small beach is also in walk distance. The hotel itself has no parking. But public parking is no problem, E.g. there is plenty of parking space in the harbour. We had the room "Blue". The room was spacious and beautiful with a small balcony. It was very tidy and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful and speaks English. The breakfast is served at your table. We had the continental breakfast. It was plenty and had some variations over the days. So it was not always the same. Overall we enjoyed our stay and strongly recommend this hotel.
Very amiable atmosphere, warm decoration. Lack of a cofee/drink bar.
Nice location in historic part of town on a quite street. Freindly and helpful owners. Extremly nice beach within a 10min drive from the hotel. Our room had a nice view of the two castles from the balcony, although it may be the only room with such a nice view.
The breakfast was amazing. You are a close walk to anything there. The people are very clean. I would highly recommend. The walls were a bit thin. There was only one other room filled but we could hear them moving around at night.
great place for families
Lots of space in apartment, very nice landscaping outside, lovely view of the town and sea, very close to town (5 minute walk to restaurants, shops and seaside), very basic apartment but great price. Liked that it was available for just one night...should have stayed longer. Would have been nice to have dish soap, salt and pepper and a pot scrubber. Otherwise amazing.
Nice garden. Polite staff. Typical Greek miserable BB.
Excellent breakfast Good view Friendly reception no
The room was good: very nice outside, comfortable inside, lovely view of the sea from our spacious balcony. It is very difficult to find! Even with map and GPS!
The room was very clean and our room was spacious. The bathroom was large and there were lovely views. The pool and bar area are very nice. Our hosts, Gunda and Voula, were exceptionally nice and helpful. The Heliotopos is off the main street which is nice, and the hotel is very quiet.
The staff was very polite and the room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was excellent with a very wide choice.
Accommodation is very good. Stuff was extremely pleasant. Scenery is beautiful and hotel is very tastefully furnished. Everything was very clean.
Hostess was very friendly and helpful. Rooftop bar great. Swimming pool refreshing (but not large). Very small bathroom and no cleaning service.
Clean, reasonable room, small by the U.S. standards but functional enough for our needs, good overall facility, great views and good swimming pool.Friendly staff. Excellent value for the money.
Very convenient for Nafplia, Mycenae, and Athens. Also very good for day cruises to Hydra and Spetses The municipality or the Greek Tourism Authority needs to do something about cleaning up the bwaches in Tolo
