Given a small room in a very old looking area of the hotel veven though we requested a double room Had to change sides of the hotel to the new looking area.
Great service, great location and comfortable place to stay.
the bed was very comfy, the staff goes out of their way to be helpful and courteous. Our luggage was mishandled by the airline and the staff made sure we had what we needed until bags arrived.
breakfast could offer a warmer selection...I was hoping for a more intimate French cuisine experience at dinner for apps like cheese, salami, ect.
the dinner menus are of very good value and quality is decent parking is easy. Staff were very helpful and nice. Breakfast was super value and offered a very good variety relative to hits price.
My bed sheets were dirty. Toilet seat on the toilet was not secure.
Evening reception host was pleasant and helpful. Although his English was limited, he was very accommodating when I had questions. Guests seemed to appreciate happy hour in lobby area. I didn't hang out but it was always lively. Mojitos were perfect and evening host was gracious. Lots of seating to sit around and socialize with guests inside and out.
Getting Around: The shuttle service was not readily offered. I inquired at the front desk, about how to get to the train to get to Paris. A man, who talked as though he was the owner of the establishment, told me how to get to the bus was until I mentioned reading there was a shuttle. This same man then told me he would take me to the train station and took me in a passenger van. Morning of my departure, receptionist informed me that shuttle would take me to the airport. We left late (20 minutes after 8 am) and I was told shuttle only takes guests to train station, not the airport. (same man as before) I was dropped off at different station than I was taken to previously. (Exposition vs. Vert-Galant) which caused some confusion and delay in my getting to the airport. Assistance: Reception desk closed early on weekends and there was no instruction on who to see for assistance. Room Details: Room was stuffy. (late September) No air conditioning so had to sleep with door open. (there were no windows) First floor room opened to parking lot. Cars parked so close, I could reach out and touch it. Traveling alone and sleeping with the door open where someone could simply walk into your room is a little unsettling. Giant picture of woman on the door, directly facing the bed and seemingly blocking the exit from the room is creepy. Startled me a few times as I caught the image in my peripheral vision and I thought someone had entered my room and was standing there staring at me.
