Pros: Home reef / food / service / spa /Dive centre /bungalow
Cons: Bathroom smell/ bad drainage. Corals in bad shape ...
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Desert (on all-inclusive) and spa need some improvements
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It is a perfect place for scuba divers! With professional EuroDiver Centre, clear sea water and a wide range of marine creatures (we saw whale sharks, manta rays, silver tip reef sharks, lots of sea turtles, black tip & white tips reef sharks, and many coral fishes), this place did not disappoint me! Resort facilities are excellent, spacious rooms, especially the Water Villa! Food provided by Full Board package is diversified and changing everyday, even good for me as I am a vegetarian. Great experience here to snorkel, scuba diving, taking pictures on picturesque paradise beach, excellent restaurants, good sports facilities, and most importantly, experiencing sea plane to & fro Vilamendhoo! Thank you Marine Biologist Emma, who answered my 8yo son's questions which are too difficult for me! May come back one day when my son is of age to take the Open Water Diver course!
Cons: Nothing, just too perfect!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Water villa is perfect: good sized, more beautiful than the photos, comfy bed and sofa and sun bed, good privacy. We like that there is an adult only area (water villa and beach jacuzzi villa). House reef is very good for snorkeling, we saw lots of fish and different sea life. White beach and fine sand. Sea looks like a picture. You can watch every starry night on your deck. Staff are welcoming and helpful, restaurant waiter always keeps your glass filled. Smooth transfer from and to airport. Various alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks with good quality are included in the all inclusive plan. Buffet food is delicious with good variety. We enjoyed them and did not pay extra to eat at a la carte restaurant. We found it great value of money for the room, environement, service and food.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beach is beautiful. Awesome place for snorkeling. Room is clean.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Awesome place. Staffs are friendly. Foods are delicious.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: very quiet, clean, beautiful and peaceful island if I have a chance, I definitely will come again friendly staff and the best place for diving
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Amazing facilities. Brilliant staff. The snorkeling around the reef was incredible. They go out of their way to help you out. The dinner on the beach was incredible the daily meals were outstanding. We would both come back in a heartbeat.
Cons: The boat surcharges on diving was a bit more expensive than other diving operators in the area.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: About the resort: - Paradise in the middle of the Indian Ocean; - Reef and corals full of life; - Common areas are full os details and you can easily note how much they care for you; - You NEVER get bored because there are so many activities that you can do and they even make different types of food every day as well as the thematics nights at the bars; About the services and the staff: - Staff is so friendly and helpful and makes you feel very welcome; - They are always trying to make you relax like “Don’t worry! We can take care of it. Just relax!”; About Beach Villa & Overwater Villa We honestly cannot say which one is the best. We spent 6 nights in a Beach Villa and it was something! Then they gave the courtesy of 2 nights in a Overwater Villa and “Wow!!” - Tidy and cozy; - Everything you need in a hotel(resort) room you have; - Housekeeper comes twice a day to clean and organise the room and its facilities (including mini bar);
Cons: Mini bat does not refrigerate as it should. In a temperature of 30°+ you need a cold water/beer/beverages. This is the ONLY thing that we can give as advice. All the rest is spotless!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The beaches and pools are gorgeous and relaxing. The restaurant has a great variety of delicious food for all meals. There are many drinks to choose from which are reasonably priced. The island offers many things to do from the spa to water sports to a gym.
Cons: They need better communication among the staff and guests. We found out our flight was changed 30 minutes before we were planning to take off.
Vakarufalhi Maldives - Vakarufalhi - Bedroom

9.4 Excellent (689 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Vakarufalhi Maldives in Vakaru, you'll be by the ocean and minutes from Vakarufalhi Island Beach, and close to Maafushivaru Island Jetty. Featured amenities include a computer station, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The e-mail contact with staff before the trip was clear and helpful. After arriving at Male airport a representative of Vakarufalhi greeted us and arranged the check-in for the local flight. After a 30-min flight, we were picked up by a boat from the resort. Staff on the island was most friendly and service was excellent. We stayed in a water villa, which was spacious, luxurious and very clean (cleaned twice a day). Access to the warm seawater (very tranquil thanks to surrounding waterbreakers) from the veranda. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were excellent and served buffet-style. The buffet gave ample choices, from local dishes to (mostly) more Italian-style dishes, but also potatoes, fries etc. The breakfast buffet served a broad range of international but also local breakfast-items. Dining space was divided - water-villa guests / other guests. We stayed on a full board-basis, which was enough, since we did not consume many (bar) beverages outside of meal times. Free bottled water was provided in the room. The dive center was very good - helpful with your wishes, clear price / options list, providing a broad range of dive sites for open water as well as advanced divers, dive masters spoke multiple languages, dive gear was in good shape. South Ari Atoll provides a large range of the best dive sites in the Maldives but keep in mind the season in which you are going - e.g. manta rays will be seen mostly in the winter months up until the end of March... For snorklers there are many opportunities as well. The house reef can be used for diving and snorkling and encircles the entire island. A free late checkout could be arranged, and we were lucky that a late water-plane flight was available at 6 PM, since our flight out from Male was very late in the evening.
Cons: Water villa included free wifi, but the wifi was performing very well down to not at all at times. This was no great concern, since we did not come to use the internet but to relax and have fun.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We had the all-inclusive package and it was great. There are some restrictions - as per usual, but overall the experience was wonderful. The buffet was great - lunch and dinner are the best in my opinion. We're not typically buffet people, but it changed daily and the quality of the food was good. Drinks in the all-inclusive package were good too. Service from staff is impeccable. Just be aware that tipping is customary, so budget that into your stay. You can get cash out at the reception on the island.
Cons: The only downside to our stay was the seaplane transfer. On the way there, we had to wait for nearly 2 hours to catch our seaplane (understandable but not ideal). But the seaplane company moved our flight to be earlier without telling us or anyone, and we almost missed the flight to the resort. On the way back, we requested a certain timeframe for the seaplane, but was told only the seaplane company sets the time. We thought the seaplane time would be quite late for our international flight, but we were told there's nothing we could do. When we checked out, we were told the seaplane has been delayed by another hour. We waited for a long time for it, and had to check for other international flights, as it looked like we'd miss ours. The seaplane staff really don't care - and based on the reviews online, they've caused a lot of people to miss their flights. Thankfully we just got there in time, but only checked in when our flight was boarding. Overall, very stressful end to the trip - however it had been wonderful up until that point.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Everything else was absolutely great. The staff is amazing, the island is very clean, wifi in watervillas worked great, food tastes great, roomboy was absolutely careful and cleaned spotless
Cons: The mattress of the bed was a little bit to hard for us, but this is just our opinion and may not be everyones. The food was amazing but i wished that it had signs if certain foods contain meat or fish
9.3 Excellent
Pros: the staff are super friendly the food was amazing water villa exceeded our expectations the bar was really great and the prices their is acceptable Snorkeling in-front of the water was really great
Cons: beds have to be changed for sure, its not that comfortable. plus i had a skin allergy because of multiple bites of bed bugs - take anti-histamines with you- and i have seen that when the house keeping service prepare our room they don't change the bed sheets, soo that might be the problem
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Water villa the best, 114м2 with terrace- really big and comfortable The food include fresh reef Jackfish, Wahoo and tuna fish, very good.
Cons: Died corals, but it's all Maldives problem But sea life is good
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great communication by email. Friendly, caring staff. Perfect location and great facilities. Food is amazing with a lot of choices. It’s very easy to see many kind of marine life on this island :) The free wifi was great and always have extremely fast speed ! We were very enjoy our stay.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The attentive and super friendly staff. In particular the pro divers staff (davide!!) Were incredible. The water villas truly are amazing.
Cons: Inflated prices are tough to swallow if you don't have a meal plan. Transportation prices are severely over inflated. Arrange you own transfer if you can it will save you hundreds of dollars
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything perfect. The reef, the beach, the over water villa, the staff. I strongly recommend this resort.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This little peace of paradise is amazing , staff is very friendly and helpful, food is amazing, and the water villa are massive and with lot of utilities , different tours every day , scuba diving school and a lot of sea life , so many baby sharks , turtles , thousand of colorful fishes and corals . I will definitely come back . Thanks for the amazing experience !!!

Pros: Great location, cozy and compact resort with lots of privacy. Great for snorkeling and diving
Cons: We stayed in a junior water villa which was in need of modernization

Cons: The food at east market wasn’t our favorite, could have been better.

Pros: TOP QUALITY OF FOOD + the coffee

Pros: Excellent! Everything met the criteria what we have expected.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Staff was great, clean island - which is very large actually.. they have buggies running every 10 mins , very convenient. Lounge near airport was great. Overall very nice hotel.
Cons: Wanted a cocktail in the room and called room service - they said NO, dont deliver. Went to nearest bar - and again they said no we cant give you the drink to take away... very strange. That hotel has no reef..zero basically. If you are into snorkeling you will be dissapointed. Well and the prices... 100 usd for 1 dinner buffet.

Pros: Lux North Male makes my dream came true. From a very warm welcome at the lounge & a beautiful 4 surprises .. (a)an upgraded from Lux South Ari Atoll to Lux North Male (b)a very beautiful decorations in Jacuzzi on Valentine’s (c)a very beautiful decorations on the bed on Valentine’s (d)a beautiful & delicious chocolates on Valentines to a breathtaking beautiful hotel and amazing staff all over in the island. Each one of the staff in Lux North Male have gone beyond & above to make me & my baby sister stayed such a fun & unforgettable experiences. Thank you to our island host, Moomin for being so helpful and committed whenever we need his assistance and Ashkum who always keeping our room neat & tidy & doing those beautiful decoration suprises. But the most special staff that have touched our heart is the Island Host, Kevin. He been so warm, friendly, and approachable that made we feels like home during our stay at Lux. Kevin came to help us to connect the flat screen tv & my baby sis phone with so much patient though it took so much of his time. He doesn’t show that he is tired or annoy with what he was doing. He still never stop smiling & joking with us instead. Kevin was also so professional, know everything that we asked bout Lux & he response so quickly. Plus, whenever we walk around the island and we bumped with him, he never stop greeting us and he being so attentive asking us if we need help in anything. The most important thing, he helped us took great photos! I did a lots of researches bout the best hotels to stay in Maldives and it shown Lux. It totally proven true through my own experiences. Lux & all the staff especially Kevin have gone beyond and above, it totally exceed our expectation. Because of Lux & Kevin we had a perfect vacation. So we will definitely will come back again & will continue to promote Lux to our family & friends❤️
10.0 Excellent
Pros: From the moment you land you are greeted by a wonderful member of staff that guides you to the seaplane counter processes your seaplane ticket. You are then taken to an absolutely extravagant lounge where you will be waiting for your seaplane trip to the resort. When landing at the resort, you are greeted the most friendly and helpful members of staff which help you check in your room and smoothly as possible. The water villas are very spacey and super clean. We were staying in the temptation pool water villa and I must say it definitely an experience you don’t want to miss. From the breathtaking sunrise to the cool and refreshing infinity pool. The resort is quite large which allows you to explore endlessly everyday. The main means of transportation throughout the resort are bicycles and golf carts, but I highly recommend using bicycles because you’ll get an amazing island vibe while cycling through the narrow paths and ending up on a quite beach. The restaurants are 5 star with amazing dishes, specially senses. I must say that they have the best butter chicken (chicken makani) I’ve ever tasted. There are also endless activities from snorkeling with turtles and whale sharks to a picnic on a private island. I would also like to thank mr. Ma’moon the resort manager and Elena for make our trip so magical and unforgettable.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Privacy of each villa is superb. There are so many restaurants, each with different themes and spectacular experience, you won’t have enough time to dine in all of them. All kind of water sports are available but ofcourse depending on the weather. The staff are very friendly and kind. Spa is above expectations. They also have a kids club and kids food menu and buffet food in the Resturants.
Cons: Sea plane excess does limit your time in coming in the hotel or leaving the hotel.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: not much
Cons: attitude wrong, first call me a Sir by email , very careless , the shampoo bottle was broken, the cleaner was even bother to replace it . Then the stupid Chinese new year lucky draw , we got a prize for free Spa , it’s stupidly for 1 person , so you have to decide who get the spa , it not a real prize to make customers happy during the new year , it’s just a stupid way to make you spend more during your stay . very disappointed experience. Floor is old and not clean , buggy needs wait so long all the time , never show up in time when you really need one . not worth the price
7.5 Good
Pros: resort is beautifuk
Cons: about the services specially sea airplane

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Overall is a very nice hotel where you can enjoy your time in the Maldives and relax.
Cons: The food options are a bit limited and not as good as we hope so due to the price of the stay
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful 4nights stay in the resort. We stayed in the beach suite, which was spacious , clean and bang on the beach. The restaurants and spa were within reasonable walking distance. We enjoyed the all inclusive sunset boat cruise and whale shark snorkeling trip. Snorkeling in the hotel reef was excellent.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This holiday is perfect in every way! The transfer to and from Male and resort is seamless and hassle free. The daily spa credit made us feel very pampered by the friendly and experience team of masseurs. The snorkeling trips included are also very rewarding! Thank you Dhilley and team for showing us your passion! Nitu from reception has been so kind and helpful ensuring all our reservations were booked! Also Hafiz from Reef restaurant and Roshnan from Aqua Bar! All in all, we are glad to have chosen Centara resort!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The service starts straight from the airport, with energetic airport staff handling our sea plane transfer as soon as we arrived at Male. The staff at both bars were absolutely fantastic, very attentive and quick service. Snorkelling behind the dive centre was very good, lots of sharks, fish, crabs and octopus to see. Baby sharks, and Eagle rays continually swimming around the beach never gets old! All the staff we met were great and very friendly, everywhere you walk you get a "Hello","Good morning" etc..
Cons: Only a few minor things we felt weren't even enough to mention to the staff: You can only use one free dive per day, so had to pay for one of the two Manta Ray dives ($325USD for the two of us). Cleaning of the rooms could've been better, often felt like they hadn't tidied (bins not emptied, empty drinks not cleared away etc). Restrictive water sport rules meant kayaking/paddle boarding was only allowed in the area opposite the water sports centre. Compared to other luxury resorts we have stayed at, we felt a few things could've been improved such as a choice of soft drinks during excursions, smaller excursion groups and more attentiveness to food allergies (which we had informed the property of ahead of time).
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Clean and staff
Cons: Many activities are full booking
9.5 Excellent
Cons: the water and the sun
4.5 Okay
Cons: Having to wait over 4 hours at Male airport and making over a 7 hour airport transfer between Male airport and resort. We arrived at Male airport at noon and were told we had to wait 3 hours to check into a domestic flight to another island airport after checking in we had to wait another 2 hours for the flight. We flew 30 minutes over the resort to an island where we were transported by bus to where we had to wait for boat transfer. We finally arrived at resort about 8 pm instead of the expected 1 pm, wasting the first day and missing out on the lunch that we had prepaid for. Day of departure we had to wake up and be checked out by 6 am even though our flight from Male was at 1:45 pm. The boat took us to the other island airport at 6:30. We missed out our breakfast which we had also prepaid for. We then had to wait over 2 hours for the flight to Male arriving at 9:30 where we had to wait 3 hours to check into ouf flight 2 hours before our departure. When we asked the resort why we had over 7 hour airport transfers while other people who traveled on the same flight of ours to and from Male, they said the other people did not use Booking.com and had paid for normal airport transfer which only took them 30 minutes to travel between resort and airport. When asking resort to reimburse us for the meals that we had paid for, we were told that it was our fault for booking our stay at their resort with booking.com thus the resort was not responsible. The Jacuzzi in our villa did not work, which we reported the 2nd day with it never being repaired. We had paid all inclusive which included the minibar which was supposed to be replenished daily. There were 2 days which it was not replenished, after enough complaining they finally replenished on the 3rd day. The resort local island day trip is a waste, it is 1 hour boat ride only to be walked to the center of the island to purchase overpriced gifts, then 1 hour boat ride back to resort.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Amazing staff from the moment I reach the airport till the end, everything amazing there, alot of choice for the food even though if you need something extra they will make sure that you will get it. I highly recommend it for couples and family with kids.
Cons: Just the pool in the villa if the wall is little bit higher to get more privacy from the next villa .
9.5 Excellent
Pros: , all food was very good well prepared with good variety
Cons: They offered complimentary massages but the massages offered where limited and you could not use the massage for another person you either use it yourself or you lost it one of the reasons we booked this hotel was for the complimentary Spa
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful turquoise waters, well-maintained property, comfortable room, and excellent service from staff
Cons: Need to take a 25-minute domestic flight and then another 20-minute speedboat ride to the island. Depending on domestic flight timing, add 4-6 hours to travel to hotel from international airport.

Pros: The view , location and the nature
Cons: Sharks
9.5 Excellent
Pros: a very beautiful resort. both our rooms and the resort itself were always clean. the variety of food in the buffet hall was excellent, with variations everyday. We holidayed in May and there was no queuing for anything. The Spa treatments are excellent, and there is a huge list of activities and snorkelling an diving to partake in, all very easy to book. The staff at reception were very friendly and conscientious. The resort has something for all, honeymooners and family, there were a lot of families with young children.
Cons: although we were just off season, the waiting time for drinks at the bar and by the pool was still a little long
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Water bungalows were amazing, water was perfect, decent amount of sea life when snorkeling near the rooms. Fresh food, different every day, with a very large variety of dishes for all appetites! Large number of activities available. Clean rooms and comfortable beds, decent amenities. Excellent spa facilities and service!
Cons: We had full board but were asked daily about the special meals at the other restaurants. There should be packages including these or some discount for those who've pre-paid for full board/all-inclusive... Had to wait for 5 hours at reception between check-out and the flight to Male, no offer of tea or water.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We liked all the staff. Everyone is real helpful. Getting to the place there are a lot of transfers but it is worth it. Just go with it and enjoy. Our room attendent and house keeper "Bikosh" was the best.
Cons: Contacting and emailing them was a little confusing. But everyone was there at the connections to help from point to point. The beds are all very hard. All drinks and beer needs to be colder. The bikes were great to have. All of them need baskets to carry things though. Also we should be able to carry our drink around on the resort. They frown upon that.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast amazing, island gorgeous and plenty to do. Riding bikes with my son around the island. Shark and sting ray feeding. Lovely staff.
Cons: Overpriced and limited room service options. Room attendant was rude day before our departure. Food at Italian restaurant made me sick,
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, the island, bars
Cons: Transfer to and from the property.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The food, the beach, the service, all were great
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was for our honeymoon and everything was great! Beach, sea, cleannes, staff, facilities.. Staff is always smiling and helpful. Watervilla was very enjoyful. everything was perfect! Definitely 10 points out of 10. Dont hesitate to book Sun Island!
Cons: Honestly Nothing! Only minor comment would be that they could have more european style foods during lunch / dinner such as pizza etc (they provide pasta tough)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beds were comfortable, WiFi good, room spacious and clean, bathtub inside bathroom and another beautiful partly open air shower with skyview. Beaches are fantastic, we had one right in front of our bungalow. Staff is very attentive and extremely helpful in making all sorts of arrangements, which is not easy in such a huge resort. The management handled our flight departure problem professionally and completely solved it. At 6.30pm there's stingray and shark feeding. Stingray feeding at the entrance to the water bungalows, shark feeding at the restaurant of the water bungalows. Big nurse sharks can be seen. Quite an experience. Snorkelling is fine, but not spectacular. Its advisable to book one of their many excursion offers. Thanks to everyone. If God allows us, we'll surely come back.
Cons: Snorkeling experience was nice but not spectacular, even the allegedly best spot at the Italian restaurant didn't overwhelm us.

Pros: The hotel is clean, quiet, stuff it's not annoying. Deliscious breakfasts and dinners. Good location. I would recommend for a quiet vacation in the wild nature.
Cons: There is no television.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: White Sand Dhigurah is great choice for travelers to Maldives. Dhigurah is a great choice also because it has one of the longest beaches in Maldives around 1 km or more white sand beach. The hotel is located 3 min from the beach it has everything you need and the team will help to the maximum. The hotel is very beautiful, clean and the staff are very friendly (as all the Maldivian People). It have a beautiful breakfast and dining areas. The hotel can arrange you all the transports, tours and Romantic beach-side dinner.
Cons: They do not have water-sport equipment.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staffs were nice and very helpful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Big and comfortable room with great bathroom. The staff was very helpful and kind. Breakfast is amazing and also all other dishes. We ate every day lunch and dinner at the hotel and it was always delicious. The bikini beach is 5 minutes away and it is so nice and still not developed. There are some sun beds. We loved everything and for sure we will be back.
Cons: Nothing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: + GREAT service! Reehan was with us and was very responsive on email long before the stay and well throughout it. I appreciated that soo much, since it made the planning and booking of transportation so much easier when he made all the arrangements. We even got instantly moved to a room with twin beds, since a misunderstanding on my part or booking.com had actually given us a double bed room. So helpful, and the room was a small upgrade free of charge as well. The guys working in the reception and the waiters were super service-minded, and so low-voiced and polite. It really enforced the feeling of a calm and soothing stay that we had hoped for. + Good breakfast. Rather simple selection, but had all the necessities. The black coffee was tremendous, and the omelette they made for us was delicious! + Great location (2 min walk from the most beautiful and clean beach you've ever seen). Also the island is in Whale Shark territory, so snorkelling trips to go look for them were offered almost every day.
Cons: The following critique is actually a bit peripheral to the hotel stay as such, but I'll include them for feedback to the hotel so they know how to improve just that little extra bit: - The lounge was great, but they could learn more from 'the Hermit' with respects to making an even more cozy intimate place in the dining hall and rooftop restaurant. They ought to get a woman to do it. - Although we got very good info about the dive and snorkel trips, we only found out via some other guests it was possible to borrow the glass bottom kayak free of charge. The seats were broken, but worked fine for a good trip! They could have invested some effort into fixing the seats though, which seemed to be a problem with the other two kayaks as well. I felt we could have gotten a bit better update beforehand about the state of the available activities, like water sports and such. Sadly there was only 1 jetski on the island which wasn't broken, and we needed 2, so we didn't get to try jet skiing. That was a little bit of a disappointment (especially since their website lists 'water sports' as an available activity, which sets some expectations). - Activities offered were quite expensive. 85 USD for a whale shark snorkelling trip to get a chance at maybe seeing a whale shark wasn't worth it. Especially since, from our earlier experience, it was with 40 other tourists in the water, from other boats. But 35 USD for a half-day regular snorkelling trip with a boat was just in the sweet spot, price wise! - A bit of construction going on in the area, that we had to walk past. Not the prettiest look, but not really a nuisance either. There were no noise at the hotel all, which was great, so we slept perfectly. - Too few sunbeds at the beach. Not a big problem, but still. Maybe the hotel could have provided some for us, or worked with the other local facilities to arrange that.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! Super friendly stafed and very good food and prices. Highly recommended to stay here!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: My wife and I stayed in February at this hotel. The structure is new and is located a few steps from the sea. It has a restaurant for lunch and dinner. The candlelit dinner under the starry sky is very suggestive. The menu is varied and with around $ 20 per person you could have dinner. We tried both the comfort room and the suite. Both are very spacious rooms with very large bathrooms. Equipped with very functional air conditioning, minibar, tea and coffee boiler. Cleaning was done twice a day with a daily change of towels. Perfect cleaning. The staff is always available 24 hours a day. Always smiling and do everything to help you with your every request. Very friendly. I highly recommend this hotel and especially the island. If you just want to relax this island and this hotel are for you. THANKS again to all the staff for the wonderful holiday and all your attention towards us! Alex - Serena
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We LOVED our stay at White Sand Dhigurah! This was probably one of the best hotels we’ve ever been too. The team is very passionate to make your stay amazing. We loved our late breakfasts, the surprise of a breakfast at the beach and the excellent and reasonable priced food for lunch and dinner. We tried the other hotels in the area, but the food at White Sands was the best. The best experience was that they took us diving with their small motorboat, cause we had a special dive site request for our last dive. Also our very romantic (birthday;)) beach dinner on our last day was just an amazing gesture from the management and the team. During the whole time we felt like a king and queen! The room service was superb, the room was cleaned twice a day. Plus the Island is just beautiful! They take good care in cleaning the beaches from plastic. If you feel like you can support them in keeping the island clean. As a thank you you’ll get a free coconut for every bag of plastic you collect. The beach is just a short walk away and there are beach chairs free of charge. We loved taking a walk to the southern tip of the island and staying at the sandbank. Thanks again to the management and team at White Sand Dhigurah for making our stay just amazing! We miss you guys already!

Pros: Staff, wonderfully friendly and so kind throughout our stay from 1st minute to last. Peaceful and great rooftop for dinner under the stars every night. Sunrise Breakfast and Sunset Dinner also arranged. Amazing stay.
Cons: Menu might be a bit "samey" if staying for longer than a week
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff! Location was great, perfect!! Beach was very close and we loved it.

Among resorts in Maldives, Maafushivaru is the typical island epitomizing all that one dreams of when thinking of the Maldives.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Such an amazing resort with impeccable customer service and food. I truly hated to leave but will definitely return!!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location, staff, facility
Cons: Food. Too Asian overall, poor diversity. Quality was mediocre
7.0 Good
Pros: Liked the place the island the house reef the diving the beauty.
Cons: The manager and the food.
6.3 Good
Pros: Beach was lovely, however, snorkeling / scuba was poor as the reef was not in good health unfortunately. Staff were helpful and attentive.
Cons: Buffet food always had a significant Asian slant to it unfortunately, and so called themed nights were not really a theme night, more of a token effort at it with the bias still on Asian cuisine. Bar area for pre dinner drinks lacked some ambience and bar snacks (e.g. nuts, olives etc) were none existent, all that was offered was some multicolored thing... However, cocktails were great and staff were very professional and capable.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location runned by most friendly staff Range of snorkeling excursions / water activities
Cons: Patio couch a bit worn out (if one had to say something)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The customer service is excellent for this resort. Our dining experience was one of the highlights. Great breakfast, lunch and dinner. As far as communication, the property is top notch and helped us with all of our questions. We will definitely recommend Maafushivaru to others.
Cons: Really, this resort was top notch. I would say that extending the dining times on certain days would lead to greater schedule flexibility. We had a window of about 1.5 hours for lunch. If this could be extended to 2 hours then fine.

Pros: New hotel with lift, only few steps to 2 km long coral beach. Breakfast, dinner buffet and complimentary alkaline fresh water were excellent. Transfer from Male is comfortable - Maamigili local airport is only 20 min by speedboat. Perfect base for diving and snorkeling safari - daily trips to see mantas and whale sharks are organized together with best diving center on island.

Pros: The welcome upon our arrival was very nice! We were given help with all our luggage and a very considerate walk through of the amenities with an opportunity to ask questions! Our hosts helped us get set up with various equipment we were hoping to use! The staff are Incredibly warm helpful! We were less than a minute walk to an incredible beach!!:)
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Reasonable price but cozy and clean room. Staffs are very friendly. White sand beach is 10 seconds distance from hotel. excursion tour are perfect. We could swim with Whale shark and Manta. Tour guides, Naappe and colleagues were always first group to find Whale shark and Manta. therefore, we could have more time to swim and watch Whale shark and Manta without cloud of tourists. We also went to fishing tour. chef cooked caught fish for us by free.
Cons: Not at all. if I needed to say one thing, there is no alcohol at restaurant.

Pros: Our first impressions were great of welcoming and the location as well. The resort is beautiful and new. Our room was spacious ,clean with designed modern furniture. We loved the huge and comfy bed. All members of the staff including the manager, the receptionist, the cleaners, the driver, the waiters (especially Kukku the main waiter who has got eyes on details) were polite and professional. We really enjoyed their hospitality during our stay. We were in love with the colour of the ocean and enjoyed the crowdless and quiet island.

Pros: What a beautiful Hotel. Very modern, stylish, comfortable, clean and is equipped with all the amenities. Mr. Shiru (Manager) and all of this team was so kind, welcoming, helpful and always willing to help for everything. The rooms were charming, lovely, nicely decorated, great lighting, spacious and airy with balcony. Bathroom is big and having nice shower too. The dining room was tastefully decorated and sunny. Food was superb, support staff so friendly and always available. Special thanks to Mr. Rajesh and his team who will not only go out of the way to arrange food of your like and taste but also always ready to accommodate every request. Regarding Dhigurah Island, It's one of the most beautiful in the country, very beautiful, clean beaches and extremely quite with super long sandbank. The beach is bright, clean and unreal, with sun loungers, beach towels. Bikini beach just outside hotel and sandbank around 3 kms. This place is for sure much better than any resort. We enjoyed walking through the quite local village and witnessing local Maldivian island life too. We loved our stay in Dhiguveli. Thank you team Dhiguveli Maldives. Hope to see you soon.

Pros: The beach is really close to the hotel, and its one of the most beautiful beaches i've seen in the Maldives. The hotel is really great, clean, the breakfast is superb, the staff is really really helpful and very kind. The have a lot of equipment (canoe, bikes, etc), the rent price is correct. The beach has some beautiful reefs, you can just walk to them. Sums up, this is a 10/10 excellent location for a holiday.
Cons: Not a thing. Everything was perfet.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Incredible staff always ready to help in any occasion. The quality of the food and the proximity to the beach just in front the hotel. Rent a bike and after 15 minutes you will arrive at the sandbank (the best part of the island).
Cons: Nothing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended trips organized by the hotel. New, clean rooms.
Cons: Lack of direct beach contact, no sea view. Variety of food served at the restaurant could be improved.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: It is a lovely three story building near the village of Digurah. The rooms were lovely, spacious and airy. We had a balcony and watched the fruit bats flying above us. We slept like babies next to whale shark wall paper. The dining room was tasteful and sunny. Food was superb, support staff so friendly and always available.
Cons: The stairwell leading up to the evening dinner area was dark and I struggled to see the steps. Lighting should be better.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Awesome large bed, big outdoor shower/bathroom, great staff and food.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Its a place where you can check in and forget about everything else, the level of hospitality is impeccable! And of course the marine life around Dhigurah! In just two days I got to see a whale shark and 3 mantas along with turtles, sharks, etc.

Pros: Outstanding
Cons: Nothing at all
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Island was a great choice. Hotel is nice. Staff is welcoming and friendly and trying to make you feel comfortable. It’s clean and comfortable enough. Wi-Fi works well. Beach in front is nice and also walk towards sand bank is not that far, about 1 hour of walk one way. Bathroom with open top is something special. Bed is extra superb comfy. Fruit juice was always delicious. Dinner on the beach on the day we were only guests in hotel was very pleasant surprise and a huge plus – thanks again for that. If you might have any questions and requirements in advance, the manager will be very reposeful and helpful. They will arrange also the flight from Male for you. Village is small and modest, you will not need much extra money. Just enough for souvenirs and some ice cream
Cons: Excursions / hotel is diving oriented, so as a snorkeler you are taken to places that might not be that perfect to snorkel. They don’t have interesting snorkel places for 1 week. I would suggest maximum 3 days snorkeling with them. The most interesting point is of course manta point and whale shark area, but this was done in our case in one half day excursion. From the perspective of excursions, the hotel is overpriced, since the price is double compared to other ones on island without excursions. We have been taken 2 times to snorkeling without or only few fish – I think this is not acceptable on Maldives and with paid professional excursion. Also, food was not that good when we have been only few guests in hotel. After few days’ hotel became full, also food came up of much better choice and quality. Furniture is modest and worn out. Over all it was a nice hotel, I would stay again on this island, and at this hotel, but would not book everyday snorkel excursion – not worth extra money. How is diving I can’t say, since I didn’t try it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We spent a wonderful week at the Boutique Beach hotel. Everything is super clean and comfortable. The food was delicious. The nearby beach is also beautiful and great for relaxing, swimming and snorkeling. We had booked the package with daily excursion and enjoyed going out by boat every day to different places, where we saw mantas, whale sharks, turtles, sharks and dolphins. But what makes this place really special is the attention of the owner and the staff, who are extremely helpful and friendly and took care of all our needs at any time. Thank you for making our vacation such a great experience.

Pros: Fancy and delicious food especially breakfast. Precise info. about over cost in advance. Friendly hotel staff. Beautiful beach just with some tourists overthere. Everything as on the pictures.
Cons: Limited possibility of lunch for people who don´t like fishes.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: A wonderful place to relax! The staff were all very friendly and helpful, facilities were good, close to the beach and good food at the restaurant! A home away fro home!
Cons: A suggestion would be to supply guests with reusable water bottles, and a sign on the door to indicate when you would like your room to be serviced
10.0 Excellent
Pros: An absolutely lovely place. Me and my boyfriend stayed here for a week, and everything was just perfect. The beach is 2 minutes away, there is a hotel restaurant with excellent food (slightly pricey), the friendliest staff one could hope for, and excursions organised by the hotel. They have a lovely guide called Chloe, who has superb knowledge of the sea life, and someone who clearly cares a lot about the coral reef and the rest of the sea family. This makes it feels a lot less like a commercial business, and more like an adventure aimed mainly at marvelling, learning and respecting the ocean. For a small cosy guesthouse, everyone gets to know everyone else, and you eventually learn all the staff names! Everything from the pick up from the harbour, to a packed breakfast on check out day was thought of. Can't recommend this hotel, and this island enough. Very much wishing we were back there now!!
Cons: Hotel was slightly pricey, but very good food.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Warm, knowledgeable, helpful staff from all departments, including the front desk, restaurant, and excursions Excellent food! I recommend going half board as every meal was delicious. Comfortable bed & room Aesthetically adorable - bright, colourful and clean Facilities and special added touches - board games, a little gym, roof jacuzzi, rooftop bar, darts, beanbags, a cute little “garden” area with hammocks and enclosed swings... I was definitely impressed with my stay and wish I had more time at Bliss. Felt like a luxury on my mid-range holiday! Highly recommend.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Bliss is less than 30 seconds from one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very modern, stylish and well organised Boutique Hotel on a local island. VERY friendly and helpful staff. We were picked up at the harbor and brought back to the ferry at the end of the trip. They made sure we arrived well in the right boat. The offered excursions were very well organised by our friendly guide Chloé. All persons working there are very well educated and they are treating you like in Luxury Hotel. Big Thank you for that, The food is very delicious obviously cooked by a very talented and creative chef. Everyday they serve you a different kind of breakfast, which makes it special and different to other hotels. We were impressed by the quality of the food. The very long and beautiful beach is just a few steps from the hotel (1minute walk) which makes Bliss almost a "Beach Villa".
Cons: Reviews are made to help other people in their decisions to choose a Hotel. Therefore I am trying to mention in a honest way what I did not really like about this place. My girlfriend and I had really big troubles to sleep in the room we got. Since it is a rather small (but beautiful and clean) room it gets really hot (which is normal for the maldives). The aircondition is placed very close to the bed due to the size of the room - so it turns very cold very soon. So at the end we ended up turning the AC on and off several times at night because it either got too hot or too cold. The fan is huge and directly placed over the bed which was too strong for us too. Even the lightest Level. (Our personal and honest perception). In addition I am a light sleeper and in my opinion the bulding is not very soundproofed. It can get noisy - other people, constructions next to the building early in the morning (which obviously will be finished one day and won't be there anymore). One thing I really did not understand, was the fact that the staff was raising the blinds of the building ( Bliss is a kind of open building) every morning sometimes even before 6 am. This "Raising" of the blinds which were placed directly next to our room made a very loud and unconfortable sound for several seconds and awoke us every day. EVERY DAY around 6. I would suggest to do that a little later. The amazing food is served in very small portions and seemed a little expensive to us. One has to calculate around 100 US a day (for a couple) if you want to enjoy it for lunch and dinner - but it is fantastic. If you have a firm sleep and you can handle either a hot or a cold room and some sounds then the rooms of Bliss are absolutely ok. I iked the USB ports next to the bed.

Pros: Dhigurah is an incredible nice island, and Bliss Dhigurah a great place where to stay! The hotel is new and very nice! Food at Hermits (hotel’s restaurant) was delicious! Staff was ver nice and helpful!!!

Pros: Nice location and friendly staff with good help with activities, good ac and new fresh rooms
Cons: Little pricy restaurant
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Before I chose this hotel, I was reading feed backs over several websites. After reservation communication with Hotel was prompt get all details regarding transfer and all other stuff. Transfer and arrival to hotel was smooth, welcome was fine. Thanks to Ibbe. After 36 hour travel we went with kids straight to the beach before gets dark for the swim. Beach towels was provided by the hotel. Beach is close to hotel 50 meters away. Beach was clean. Information received from hotel that sun loungers available, found only one. Food. Breakfast, yes was different every morning. But is not great like was mentioned in feedbacks. Some days was bad, cold and not tasty. Fruit offered must be cold not hot. Should be request menu for breakfast. Dinner. Was fine tasty everyday. Recommend to make menu choice much bigger. Seafood must be offered in this place. Hotel inviting and offer the family rooms, but is no menu for kids and the meals was charged full price as adult instead 50% for kids. portions for kids is too big. Noticed that Head chef walking around hotel with short sleeve T-shirt or raised sleeve and food preparation gloves, used others staff mobile phones. Couple times got hand hair in the meal, tuna steak and beef steak. Try to mention to lady serviced us, she said sorry, she probably not understood me and nothing else. Prices is too high. I was surprised when I asked to pay extra 4 dollar for the beaf steak and we had half board included. Staff. Special Thanks to Vajid, Mobish, Shaheen and Same! They are best staff in Bliss. Vajid is the Man in Hermits he never said no and his service 100% with big smile! Thank you. During our stay first 3 or 4 days staff was on relax. Till Owner Anne with Musannif appeared. We was on the beach when they turned up, they checked up beach area around short walk. Noticed on their arrival staff was getting busy get a flowers cut more cleaning and tidy up the area around hotel and short walk to the beach. Well Done for Owners.
Cons: Restaurant overpriced. Inviting families and charging kids with adult full price for meal. Children menu needed.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff was great, friendly and very helpful at all times. Good offer of activities / excursions. Interesting, tasty menu prepared by a top Indian chef. Flexibility to adapt food to our specific needs. Special merit to the tuna steak and pancakes stack but everything is good. Nice location and hotel design.

Pros: The staff was friendly, and the place was extremely clean. It's a simple place--meant for diving and relaxing. We only had a night, since we were transitioning from a liveaboard to our next adventure. We were able to rest, kayak and easily make our flight the next day.
Cons: You have a two block walk and a super short ferry ride to visit a resort with alcohol. Bring your own, don't drink, or be prepared for a short excursion.

Pros: Ahmed, the Sales Manager was very friendly, super helpfull and organized everything for me: the pick-up from the harbor, to the airport and even a free visit of the nearby island resort. That was just perfect!!
Cons: The breakfast could be better.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: We had a wonderful clean room, fully equiped, with both a towel for the beach and the shower. With enough bottles of drinking water, tv with movies given by the reception for the rainy evenings and even a safe for locking important issues. There is a nice seating outside for eating.
Cons: We were more surprised by the set up of the island - the houses are enclosed in the middle and you don’t see anywhere the sea, only when you walk past some old dumps and trees, so not Whale Shark Inn’s fault, although unfortunate.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Farhim, who looked after the place, was the nicest and most accommodating property manager. He had a great sense of humor and really made the stay lovely.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: friendly manager, assistance and care for details, walking distance from beach
Cons: food delivery from distant restaurant, mosquitos in the garden
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed all our excursions arranged through the hotel. We saw the whale sharkand manta rays. Enjoyed sun island and holiday island Haydar was an excellent help
Cons: Hard to keep food warm when being delivered. Quite spicy. Need to tell them if you want it mild
7.5 Good
Cons: Island is not beautiful, as it is a public island. The people are very friendly and they will take care of ur travel if u tell them upfront what is your plan
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful and friendly staff, clean room with all necessary inclusions. Definitely can recommend this guest house.
7.0 Good
Pros: Stuff are very nice. Room is comfortable and clean. Free evening visit to Holiday Island Resort and night shark feeding was nice. Room price is cheap included breakfast and taxi transfer from the jetty.
Cons: This island is quite large with almost no shade around the perimeter. Whale Shark Inn is in middle of town and requires a long walk under scorching sun to reach the beaches. Recommend the hotel to consider providing bicycles for future. We came to Aril Atoll & the Whale Shark Inn for whale shark watching. When we arrived we found they needed min 4 people & charges $65/p + tax to do whale shark watching. It is too expensive and with just 2 people, you even won't be able to go. Their other excursions are also more expensive than other places (Maafushi & Dhigurah) we went. It is much better and more pleasant to go the island of Dhigurah if one wanted to go Aril Atoll for whale shark watching. However please be warned that whale shark is not as easy to see anyways as the most Maldives vendors tell you. We went twice (one trip from Maafushi for $85 & one from Dhigurah for $55) & yet did not see any. There are many boats besides us going up and down outside Maamigili channel searching & none of us see any during the 2 days we visited.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Everything else was amazing though. Nafiz and Hayder (sorry if I spelled it wrong) were absolutely wonderful in every way. The food was amazing, the staff super friendly and helpful, the prices are unbeatable, especially compared to the resorts, and they actually go the extra mile to help you and make your stay comfortable.
Cons: I didn't like that the rooms are so thinly isolated. If anyone, be it staff or other guests, want to rummage in a rucksack or simply speak, you will hear everything. The 5am prayer isn't everything either, but that only lasts like 5 to 7 minutes.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very nice guesthouse and friendly staff. Location is good, close to restaurant and to the public beach.
Cons: Everything was good in terms of guesthouse, but the island need to be cleaned

Pros: This accomodation was the best during our 3 weeks travelling Sri Lanka/Maldives. The property is really nice with big clean room and comfortable beds. The staff were amazing, really taking care of us in friendly way and made our stay even better. The property is right next to the bikiny beach and the island itself is really beautiful and clean so together with this accommodation this place was our highligh during our stay in Maldives.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was excellent.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff were friendly and helpful. They gave us a cold towel to freshen up and a glass of juice on arrival, and there were fresh flowers and palms on our bed. The location is great, it’s a one minute walk to a bikini beach and not far from other restaurants (if they’re open). There’s a long beautiful beach on the south top of the island. It’s a bit of a walk, but not very many people around- worth it!
Cons: The property’s listing said there was an on-site restaurant which was not in service when we were there during low season. We had to find restaurants around the small town that were often closed since we were there during Ramadan. To be fair, we were told we could did have ordered food in advance the night before. On a minor note, the bathroom had a very strong musty/sewer smell that we were told was likely due to the rain and rising water levels. We had also asked for our room to be cleaned after 3 nights and came back to find just our bed made but nothing was cleaned and linens/towels were not changed. The staff gets there early in the morning and starts up the music in the reception area, which was quite loud in our room next door to reception. THINGS NOT ADVERTISED for this Island: 1)You can’t just shop around for a dive shop on the island when you get there. Each guesthouse/hotel has an agreement with a specific dive shop and the dive shops won’t let you join their groups if you aren’t staying at specific hotels. If you want to dive with a specific shop like we did, check ahead of time what guesthouse/hotels they work with. 2) Most of the hotel restaurants in town (there aren’t that many) will not serve you food if you aren’t a guest, making the number of available restaurants very slim. 3) Check if it will be Ramadan during your trip. The locals are 100% Muslim and fast during the day during Ramadan, meaning most restaurants are closed until evening. 4) The beach nearby is a bikini beach during the week (except Friday) so you can wear a bathing suit during that time, as long as you cover it up to walk there. On weekends ladies must wear shorts and shirts on the beach since it becomes a public beach that the locals use.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I travel a lot but this trip with my fiance to Dhigurah Retreat Beach was just amazing! We will never forget the staff and the location. There is no place like this anywhere! We will be absolutely back there!
Cons: Nothing! Everything was perfect! We will never forget this place. I am pretty sure that we will be back at Dhigurah Retreat Beach.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was the most unforgettable vacation! The ocean of happy emotions overwhelmed me! If you, like me before, are afraid to fly to an unfamiliar country alone, then the Maldives will destroy all your fears, and at the Dhigurah Retreat Beach you will not think about anything but rest! It is also a great vacation for a family with small children, because the water is not deep near the sandy shore, it is also a great vacation for a couple, the hotel staff will make it as romantic's as possible. Let's start with the fact that at the airport you will be met in the most hospitable way and taken to the next boat to the island (many thanks to Mr. Zain for the pleasant company, this kind person became my friend). Upon arrival to the island you will also be well met, thank you Mr. Saneeh (manager and professional photographer) and for further help in everything, although I don’t know English well, they helped me absolutely in everything, without demanding anything in return that speaks of their unlimited hospitality and kindness. Various excursions will also help to make your vacation unforgettable, the person doing this is Mohamed ... I was afraid to snorkel, but I was convinced of the opposite and it was he who swam with me and helped me figure out everything, for which he was boundless, therefore in the future do not be afraid to contact him, he is a master of his craft (thanks to Mr. Hassan for this opportunity)! Also, if you think that fishing is boring and not for women, then having tried it in the ocean you will understand how wrong you are, because you will be helped in everything! Personally, I went fishing 2 times without regretting because it is very exciting and interesting! (Thanks for that Mr. Saneeh and his people) At the reception you will be waited by a friendly and very kind woman named ...

Pros: The hotel/guesthouse has a very nice location right next to the beach, and just a couple of minutes of walking from souvenir shops and some local restaurants. The owner is very friendly and helpful although we didn't see or get to talk to him much.
Cons: First we didn't have a good experience with the dive center. We are both big fans of diving and have been diving with lots of different dive centers for the last 4 months. The guy in charge of the diving seemed to be more concerned about how many dives he could get us to do instead of how the experience was for us. We got next to nothing information about the actual dive, just the basics, but nothing special about the dive site. Before diving the dive master jumped out in the water without checking if we were ready and without safety check of the gear. And throughout the dive it was really hard to get his attention (for example to say how much air we had left or if we had any problems). Would not recommend diving here, and we have heard it's really expensive compared to other islands. 40$ for one single dive + 20$ for full gear + 22% tax. The food was really disappointing as well. Everything (except from the curry) seemed like it had been lying in a freezer for way too long, and had been put in an oven for 10 minutes for heating. And the cheapest meal was 10$ + 22% tax and it was not impressive. We ate our first 3 dinners here, the next 10 days we ate at the local restaurants. The breakfast was about the same as the dinners. Small heated frozen croissants/muffins/bread covered in sugar, fruit that looked (and tasted like) it had lied out cut in pieces for a couple of hours, and lots of stuff with tuna. Every morning you would just get served something, and there were no menu or buffet so you can't decide yourself what you would like to eat. And not a good deal if you're trying to eat healthy because everything was sweet and/or covered in sugar or chocolate. I ordered omelette the first day (eggs was the only thing you can decide), and the next days the waiter just came with an omelette before he talked to me about what I would like.

Pros: The location was perfect for what I had in mind. I could look at the beach from my room which looked exactly like the pictures. The staff and everyone affiliated with the property was really kind and helpful. They made me enjoy my stay to the fullest. The guides were also very patient and took very good care of me. I only wish I'd stayed longer.

Pros: Amazing service, it’s like you’re at a 5 star resort. Ali, husein, shakil (divemaster) all took great care of us. We saw a whale shark on the snorkeling trip which was absolutely incredible! Shakil was a great divemaster. The booking is very close to the bikini beach and has great food as well.
Cons: One day when we had booked in to go to the hotel island resort Amaya kuda rah, we got cancelled on and the boat used for diving instead even though we booked the day before for my girlfriends birthday. This was upsetting but they found a different boat, although it cost an extra $12 instead of just $40 so a 25% increase in price. In the future I think Ali and Athiri should have offered to pay the difference since we had already booked the boat for my girlfriends birthday.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Big rooms I loved the view on the beach, the most spacious rooms on this island
Cons: Nothing really, I should have stayed longer
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Actually, only the cleaners are helpful.
Cons: Not qualified people, they don’t know how can they make the guest satisfied. I will never stay there again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Every thing was above expectation at this price range. The each and every staff of the hotel from restaurant to house keeping are so nice, they will go every extend to make your stay comfortable. The chefs are just incredible, they are just experts whatever they make, we had all the meals during our stay in the hotel restaurant. The restaurant waiter , the housekeeping are very good.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good and friendly Staff, nice and Clean room with balcony Breakfast was ok, the chief is excellent in cooking seafood dishes at dinner time location is on the beach but it's not good for swimming The locals on the Island are the most friendly locals I've ever met
Cons: breakfast Finish at 9 Am and it's not allowed to take food inside the room, so if you missed the breakfast you don't have anything to eat till lunch
9.5 Excellent
Pros: They organized our speedboat transfers from Malé airport and when we arrived they met us at the harbour with a golf buggy to shuttle us down the road to our new home in the Maldives. To see that beautiful turquoise ocean from our room was out of this world. We were in Paradise - and could view it right from our bed! Lovely property with kayaks, snorkel equipment, paddle boards all complimentary for guests to use - it really made our stay! We also we went on one of their organised boat trips which I would recommend. The guys working there are friendly and help with anything you need. Ali the owner was really helpful too and found a way to charge my husbands camera battery (we forgot the charger!) The breakfasts are yum. A/C and a fridge in the room was lovely. We’d a gorgeous time, it was hard to leave - and would happily recommend Athiri.
Cons: My husband was quite sick one night. The next morning I was going to bring him something light from the breakfast buffet - but I was told we food wasn’t available for takeaway.... I understand the premise of this but even when I explained our situation, I was told he would have to come to the restaurant if he wanted something to eat, and quickly as it was finishing soon. Knowing when to bend the rules would have made a difference to us.

Pros: I like everything on the resort especially the quietness of it. The water villa was the best part of our stay.
Cons: Nothing. As a small comment, it would be great if the hotel provides English speaker tour guid to help us understanding more about the Maldivian culture when visiting the local island.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff was amazingly friendly, every sing one of them was welcoming and kind.
Cons: The food in general could be better and they could add much more worldwide popular items on the menu.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved absolutely everything about this resort!!!!! We were welcomed and looked after so well, from the housekeeper to the chefs- everyone made our trip so memorable!!!!
Cons: Literally I have no answer for this question.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was the best trip, the island is amazing, the staff are beyond amazing. I still miss them and the sea breeze. Albert in the bar is so lovely and his coffee’s are exceptional. Management are completely on point too. Love love love
Cons: It’s a long Journey from the UK and wish the island was closer to Male airport but everything else at the resort is stunning. A life experience. Also prepare for mosquitos.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff are nice, lots of marine life, I saw lots of sharks, stingrays, manta Ray, turtle, octopus, Moray Eel Food is nice too
Cons: Most of corals are dead but still there is lots of marine life, waves are too high and risky for beginners special snorkelling, there isn’t much to do at night apart from using swimming pool or Jacuzzi
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Lots of events
Cons: Cost was a bit high
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Overall, property was nice and staf were friendly. Special thanks to Chamara, Albert and Ms. Eva for their hospitality. We had a great time and stayed at both beach and water villas (had to pay an upgrade fee). The food was great and the Chefs were nice and courteous. We look forward to staying here again.
Cons: Wifi was tricky at times. Also their policy on "complimentary in-room items" is that all items will not be provided unless you specifically ask for them, which is kinda inconvenient.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: *I like the service presented to the kids where they can serve them their dinner earlier that the daily dinner time, this was a great plus. *I like the quick response of some of my complains
Cons: *The cleaning was not acceptable at all for a "five star" resort (Rooms, beach, private pool) *Some staff members lack of professionalism *I did not like where the managers in the resort stay during breakfast and dinner and get served by the waiters as they are guests !! I did not find it nice *Privacy is not respected; they might enter the private pool without further notice !! *Basic kits in bathrooms that should be available in any "five star"hotel were not there *The internet was disaster *No water in the gym *Limited food options in the menu
7.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast was good and location as well
Cons: Wifi Service

Pros: Everything
Cons: The food and breakfast at the restaurant wasn't that exciting.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff were so lovely and went above and beyound! Espically the kitchen staff! Really nice vibe and feel to the place!
Cons: No wifi in the bedrooms! T.V doesn't work either! So you can't just watch a movie in your room! The pool isn't there either! It is in a private room, so you can't use it. We never saw it!
6.3 Good
Pros: Location is good. Kitchen has various stuff to eat. Breakfast is good.
Cons: Staff have no manners. They are really bad at organizing trips. They messed up mine and tried to convince me it’s my fault. The mattress is good but the bed is two small beds attached together which is not very comfortable. The restaurant wouldn’t change rice for vegetables when asked.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Really nice well cared for property. We were picked up at the jetty on the island. Balcony had a great view. Dhigurah Divers that they use for excursions are amazing! Staff in the restaurant were lovely and welcoming.
Cons: Was told we would be met at the jetty in Male, and the spot and time to meet. No one showed up. Lucky we had SIM cards and I called and they told us the name of the boat to get on. Booked a twin room, confirmed via email they had twin rooms, was given a double room. Guy changed bedding and fixed it really quickly for us which was good. Had a real hotel vibe. (This was the only place we stayed at on a local island that had this feel, not a negative but something to be mindful of. All others we felt we were personally looked after by the host). Instructions to bikini beach were vague. We got lost and walked for over an hour (on the four other islands we stayed at we were given a complimentary tour of the island by the host and shown where the bikini beach was). Not really negatives, just info to be mindful of. I wrongly assumed this was a guesthouse, but much more like a hotel/resort. Personally, we preferred the guesthouse experience on other islands.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location of the hotel: very close to the beach, to jungle and village. The staff is very nice and helpfull.
Cons: Dinner and lunch were overprised. On the island there are way cheaper and better tasting local restaurants.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, clean and close to the beach. We have amazing holiday on Maldives! TME is great! Abetting & Laci
Cons: WiFi is only in lobby. In room didn’t have WiFi connection.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. I like everything. The staff was really kind. The place so nice and really close to the bikini beach(less than one minute) Also, they were so flexible, preparing us the breakfast when we ask for early breakfast and giving us a late lunch when we arrived the first day to the island and from the snorkelling. They also picked us up when we arrived and dropped us off when we left. It was a nice place to spent three nights. I would repeat if I have the opportunity to come back to the Maldives
Cons: The taxes, Hahahaha the prices on the menu looks affordable but when you want to pay you realise that you need to pay two different takes, and it was a surprise! The suggestion is to write in the menu the final prices including the taxes, it will help a lot.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Everything was really good. Clean, comfortable, next to the beach. Good breakfast.
Cons: Everything was really good. The only thing I will complain is about not having wifi at the room. Is not a big deal but a little bit uncomfortable. Although, the common areas, with wifi, were really comfortable.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: When we arrived the standard room we booked wasn’t available so they gave us a free upgrade to a deluxe room. The property was a short walk to the beach and the staff would help in any way they possibly could. WiFi in the lobby was really good and the rooms were cleaned daily and towels were replaced daily if you wished. Bed and pillows were amazingly comfortable!
Cons: Only thing I could fault would be the WiFi didn’t reach the rooms. Literally the only thing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All in all an amazing stay! The hotel has everything you need. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The food in the resraurant has a great variety and the chef even made a sri lankan curry for our last night. The staff is very friendly and helpful!
Cons: Nothing.

Pros: We were accommodated at the Hideaway Inn, but we had all the service at Mala Boutique. The food was excellent, the beach clean, staff very nice and helpful. We had some trips and we were very happy with all - great organization and great experience. We saw what we wanted to see. Snorkeling is amazing and our guide Shaalley show us all from underwater world. I recommend this island for relaxation and snorkeling. We felt like at home :)
9.3 Excellent
Pros: More than the property, I would rate the stuffs higher. They were pretty friendly to us and never let us feel away from home. The owner Hussain's friend 'Salde' had taken very good care of us. He was always ready to go anywhere you ask him to go to. He also managed to get us a go-pro from his friend for our whale-shark diving, as we did not have one with us. I would highly recommend this place if you want to enjoy Maldive cheap and best. The water is still shallow for about 1 km from the beach which means you can snorkel farther and enjoy the corals and marine lives. The bikini beach is pretty quiet; you will not feel disturbed by anybody as locals are not allowed here (except for guest house stuffs).
Cons: Although the food was nice but I would suggest having more option for the guests, especially with Rice. I loved the dining area, and I still believe you can manage it better. This is your asset. Having said that, I do realize it's a cheap and comfy option for those who want to enjoy Maldives but don't want to dig a hole in their pockets. So, I think I would rather ignore the other petty things for them. Overall, I loved this place and may again choose this next time. Especially because of those people (in the island) who make you feel homely, unlike those professional stuffs in the resorts.
7.0 Good
Pros: - staff is super kind - excursions very well done - cleaning - ideal for backpackers
Cons: - beach too small with no facilities - way to the beach is not really nice - overall you do not feel living the Maldives as in your dreams
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very clean and tidy. The stuff clean it every morning. The bikini beach is like 3min walk and restaurants too. The stuff were really helpful and nice. They help you whenever you need help. Lunch and dinner is not included but it’s amazing, totally recommendable!
10.0 Excellent
Cons: No kitchen facilities
6.3 Good
Pros: The escursions organized by the diving center are really amazing. Martino (dive master) and Shalley (snorkelling guide) are an excellent team together and thanks to them we had an amazing time with mantas, turtles, sharks, dolphins, whalesharks, and lots of other fishes. Shalley shared with me wonderful pictures he took underwater, a great memory of this incredible experience. The team in the guest house is great, always smiling and hard working; the owner Hassan is really kind and friendly, and he compensated us with a final discount for the few problems encountered during our stay. The location of the guest house in front of the sea is incredibly beautiful, and meals are normally served on the small beach in front of the guest house - a pity that this wonderful space is not enough used also before and after the meals with bar service.
Cons: Rooms and the furnitures are pretty basic, when we arrived in our room the air conditioning was not working properly (water dropping) and I had to tell the staff three times before getting it repaired. Breakfast is always same food and really nothing special (omelette, sausages, pancakes, sometimes beans, and an ordinary juice - to get the fresh ones included you have to reserve the all inclusive package!). Lucky us we paid half board - we had once lunch at the guest house and I think it was quite poor. The guest house sometimes misses the basic service (eg shampoo) and after having asked it three times to the staff I had to buy it from local supermarket.
