The property has an incredible view both across the land down to the sea and of the mountains behind it. Its an enchanting and relaxing place to spend time. The restaurant was very slow. The staff tries to do things for you, but just ends up slowing you down when you could have done it quickly and easily yourself. Modern luxury is not about waiting for people to do things for you, its about empowering you to do it in the easiest way possible.
Very nice environment, quiet, lovely pool area and good food at the restaurant. We enjoyed our stay.
Peace and quiet and excellent indoor pool
the calm/the beautiful surrounding/the quality of the food/the friendly staff/the excellent room/dream place no
Peaceful place, very easy access to Cote D'Azur, Vence, St.Paul de Vence. Nice swimming pool. No view at all from our room (there was a high, mesy green wall of plants), breakfast rate too expensive (18€, apparently that is the rule in this area), we never got it. You can find good choice in outside cafés for less then 10€ Dinner: nice atmosphere but bad value for money. How would you judge 21€ for 3 microscopic bites of cheese in your plate? (Without honey/marmelade of course!)
The duplex rooms are very good - it is excellent having a seperate lounge area. The bathroom was clean and modern. The patio door opened onto a good size terrace with access to lovely, quite garden with outdoor pool. The indoor pool / gym / steam room was fabulous. The evening meals are very good, but expensive compared to other good local restaurants. Buffet breakfast is fairly basic, and pricey at 18 euro per person per day.
Friendly helpful staff. Lovely garden. Close to a very pretty small town and good ease of access to the places I wished to visit I felt that the decor of the hotel was sparse, unimaginitive and uninviting, particularly in the 2 bedrooms I had booked. It doesn't have to cost a lot of money to make a hotel room feel welcoming.
Everything, especially the friendly, helpful staff. The restaurant was wonderful. The hotel grounds are beautiful
We arrived too late to go out to eat (no restaurant at the hotel) but the staff offered bread, cheese and meats and a bottle of wine making a eliciou picnic for us. There is also a lovely pool area and secluded garden around it, though it wasnt warm enough to use it when we were there in late Oct.
the staff tried to help us as much as they were able. This hotel should not be a best western. It is old and in desperate need of renovation. I would not stay here again.
Staff was friendly and helpful beyond expectations. Rooms are nicely furnished. Breakfast was good value with large selection. Good location near old town. No charge parking on the premises.
Quiet, convenient for Vence, well appointed, welcoming staff. The plumbing in our room was in a very poor state, it needs replacing soon.
location to town/ restaraunts, staff and their help, breakfast in room, size of room and bathroom could probably do with upgrading bathrooms soon
Good access to Vence, parking available on site, friendly staff that helped with all our small requests would prefer glasses in the rooms for having a drink on the balcony, also maybe a small fridge, the noise sound proofing was quite limited and you could hear movement and voices from next door
Very friendly reception staff who were helpful and informative I sat by the pool for 10 minutes and got about 20 mosquito bites - I think they should spray the grass
Convenience of location and setting; friendly staff; good room size; No hot water in the bidet; ant infestation; no mini-bar; small pool; no cooked breakfast.
The room (#20) was really small.
Staff is very nice. This hotel is highest price on our france trip but is lowest satisfaction on our mind. The facility is very old.
Location was excellent I wouldn't say it was 4 star. It was very basic and tatty in parts.
proximity to local transportation international channels size of room was too small even for one person extremely loud at night rude employees!
Great location, very close to the Messena Place and the old town. Restaurants close by. Rooms are a decent size as far as French hotels go and for once the air conditioning actually worked. Staff spoke English and were helpful. We were only at the hotel for a quick overnight stay and didn't arrive until 9:30 pm so we didnt spend a long time in the hotel. Had breakfast in a cafe in the market.
I enjoyed the fact that the hotel was very central with easy access to buses and trains.
We were made very welcome and the Hotel was very well placed for the park and shopping. The view was hardly inspiring.
We got a good deal for the 'Privileged room' and we were given an upgrade to the next level as it was out of season and they had the ability to offer it to us. Was great to have a large room for a few days. Close to the beach and loads of shopping, restaurants, cafes and the stop for the hop on hop off tour bus. They had all the flyers of tourist things at the counter. Wifi was good. No TV reception for english channels.
Staff is very friendly, breakfast was excellent, hotel in general (colours, furniture...) Room for breakfast is too small for so many people
Location was good and hotel's decor fun and kitschy. Small room.
Location No parking facilities offered to guests, however there is a public parking with preferred rates overnight
Near to the City, clean room Room was very smal
convenient location, not too noisy
The availability and efficiency of the staff. The quality of the infra-structure, atmosphere of the hotel and its location. The room bathroom could be equipped with more towel hangers. During breakfast it would be best if the service staff would not start cleaning the room (washing the chairs, etc.) while people are finishing their meal. It disturbs a bit the breakfast experience.
the interior of the hotel is exelent, very historical! The restoran is also very doog! Service of the reception and also reception manager was full boor. We planed to stay 21 day- and changed the hotel to another one on the 2 day of our stay!!!
Very helpful staff; they even said "Have a nice stay" in my language that was amazing! Excellent localtion; place full of arts. You have a feeling that you stay in a museum but you really like it! Just spledid! Nothing, just perfect place.
Good taste and comfort all over + restaurant Chatecler - the best I ever experienced food/wines and ambiance. Nope.
Historic building, beautiful lobby Rooms definitely need refurbishment
The ambiance was nice- classic old style .The rooms were big and the view spectacular. Unfortunately the bath tub drain cover was not working so it required a nail file to remove the cover to drain the tub. This was repeated every day of our stay without the staff fixing it! The room was not cleaned on returning in the afternoon and we were told by reception that we had to call for cleaning !The wall tiles had black mould which Is really unacceptable in a hotel of this class.also, our room had chipped paint around doors and peeling wallpaper trim. All in all,This hotel needs revamping. On the plus side, the location is the best in Nice. The staff were very poor in responding to complaints - no apologies ever.My room smelled of mould ,to discover next day that there was a furnace type room opening into my closet, which did not have a door.On complaining ,I was given an excuse instead of an apology. Also, after staying 3 days,I was stopped by a security doorman on entering the lobby ,to question me if I was staying at the hotel. Very very upsetting and again ,after telling him yes ,no apology. Good staff should know the guests and be carful before causing an embarrassing moment. The service at breakfast was very poor and the buffet layout difficult to manage due to the tightness of the restaurant.
Bad brekfast? bad plage, bad service, wery high preis - but only in this year
Perfect location, nice sea views, really interesting interiors. Some service points, at the reseption and consierge points.
Wonderful wonderful staff and location location location. The rooms were well appointed and in a style that suited the hotel. The balcony was a great place to get a lovely view of the sea. The rooms were larger then most European hotel rooms and air conditioned which made it very comfortable in the August heat. The public areas and dining rooms were very comfortable and charming. Good business center with easy access. The carpet in the halls made it hard to move luggage around and did not fit the period and style of the hotel. Some of the art didn't suit the hotel ambiance. The carpet in our room was very worn and old. The bathroom had chipped sharp tiles and had not been updated which was a little disappointing for the price point. We were also disappointed that no one informed of the beach facilities available.
Location close to the sea front The Pool was very small and the sunning area was very small and could only take a small number of sunbathers - we had to instead use the private beach which cost 34 Euros
staff, service, breakfast, location - excellent, by the sea, good shopping, easy to get to railway station, old city, shopping streets by walk
Over all a great experience since arrival, very good complementary high speed wireless internet , great breakfast and wonderful bath and shower along with quality interior, worth every cent.
Friendliness and courtesy of staff None
Wonderful hotel. Excellent quality and service. Centrally located.
our room was facing the mediterrania, so beautiful. it is so close to restaurants in town and shopping.loved going to the casino after dinner. it was so clean and spacious (our room).
convenience to activities and shopping Bedroom carpets not properly hoovered, air con.not perceptily effective.
Large spacious room, robes, slippers, fabulous bath There was no blackout curtain... Luckily I brought an eye mask!
It was right on the beach front and a short walk to the two tour buses for Nice. The staff was very friendly, spoke many languages besides French, room service was excellent and very pleasant. No
Firstly the location was fantastic, 10mins from the airport and 10 min walk from the old town. Our room was beautiful and big with a big balcony over looking the sea. Could'nt fault it.
The majority of your staff could speak english very well. and they were always very friendly and professional particularily Olivier the concierge
Location The noise from the road in a sea view room The breakfast far too expensive
small bathroom without practical furniture!
Renovated rooms on the 5th floor are fabulous, soundproofing is great. Location is excellent, staff is well trained and friendly.
Staff were friendly, the room was spacious and the location was perfect.
The hotel staff were very nice and provided lots of advice on how to move around, what to visit etc. Room was very clean. There is no carpet and it is all white tile which made it look very bright and clean. The sea view and sunrise in the morning is worth every penny spent. Compared to many of the hotels we visited in France this was the best overall experience.
I like the location the staff very not helpful at all ,had to ask 5 times at breakfast for hot water in order to have tea
Staff was really friendly
Staff most helpful
Overall style of the hotel and its superb location No parking - in a very busy and complex town
Nice place, nice staff
The hotel is in a superb position on the seafront, the staff are extremely courteous and efficient. Furnished very well in a beautiful French style and very clean.
The Views. The room could do with updating.
quaint & clean - great bathroom, a place to park the car and good location for easy walk into old town Vence. Breakfast was pricey and they kept running out of food items - like the staple croissant and bread!
Gorgeous hotel - incredible views - friendly, accomodaing owners - excellent breakfast Lack of elevator - owner helped carry my luggage
the location The room was small and the door wouldnt lock when you were in the room.
It must be a joke that Miramar has three stars. No restaurant, no lift, breakfast overpriced... Definitely not for anybody who wants some degree of comfort when staying at a hotel.
Friendly, helpful staff; good location and nice outlook over the garden. Restaurant recommendation was excellent. The hotel lived up to our expectations.
Spacious room; very friendly staff (couple with son); close to old city; nice solarium and view on top floor; breakfast in bed 7 EURO extra for parking should be included in the room price; jacuzzi didnt work; located in a 70s appartment complex (so not charming from the outside)
The staff was the best I've experienced in over 10 European Hotels. The hotel is beautifully located in Vence, which was a picturesque town. The accommodations were excellent. Impressive hotel.
Central position, in easy walking distance of Vence centre. The room was really provencale. The staff were very friendly and efficient. A great stay.
Tasteful decor of room and friendly staff Breakfast very expensive at 12 Euros. Very limited buffet for this price.
Hotel diana is a real charming plc in vence! The hosts paul and his wife are welcoming, real nice people, the room size was fine and the view we had from our no.54 terrace was superb into the mountains .location also v conveniant-walking distance anywhere in vence .they have a pleasant sitting area in a charming yard,,,,pleasure The only thing I could recomend is to improve the coffee or even leave a kettle in the room for self making coffee...
Excellent Hotel, great location, very clean, very comfortable room, excellent staff.
the staff and the advice that they gave us,the location excelent and the service was very good .
The cleanliness of the hotel and recent renovation was fantastic! The artwork, layout and comfort of the hotel public areas is very chic. The hotel staff were so friendly and welcoming. All our needs were met in regards to the room, breakfast and bar area. It was a great stay and I would definately stay again!
The staff was polite, funny and spoke perfect English. The manager worked like crazy to help out at the breakfast. We were impressed. The rooms! They're fine but there was absolutely no where to put anything. Our room had one lawn chair. It was weird. It all feels a little too Miami Vice with the colors. Felt slightly Miami-ish/Golden Girls. Bottom floor was noisy with window open.
The Incredible architecture, fantastic staff and superb rooms.
Very accomodating, not too big and felt personal. The service is exceptional and the spa is a must-do.
great hotel ,great design , nothing
Food and Hotel were gorgeous. WiFi 7E for 30 mins in reception! No WiFi in bedrooms. Should be free in bedrooms.
Great location. Friendly staff. great room. All extars very expensive - eg breakfast or to have a drink in the bar (22 euros for one cognac !)
The hotel seems over-rated. It gives you the feeling of being old or overused or at least not well taken care of. Beyond the intention of design...some of the fittings seem...cheap... Plus, the idea of having the bathtub in the room could be special, but it is not practical. The lights are also not thought in a practical way...
Nice adjacent restaurant. Clean room with an bit odd, but original, design. Clearly visible that the hotel was renovated last year. Noise level in the room was a bit high due to the busy road outside.
Beautiful design, good location for shopping The air conditioner didn't work well, it was very hot when we arrived at evening time. I called the reception two times, they promised to come and do something but they didn't, so we suffered the very hot room even in autumn time, +17 degree outside. They only fix it in the next morning.
You can hear everything in the corridor. not good service at all. horrible breakfast
Beautiful hotel, good location, very friendly and efficient staff. The hydrotherapy pool is lovely
the roses all around the place no service after 12 a.m. :(
We loved the location and how friendly the owners were. It's next to several restaurants and a couple bakeries for breakfast. Good sized bathroom for France too. The parking garage was convenient and with the hotel's discount it was inexpensive too. The room was small, but we were out the entire day to explore the region so it didn't matter too much.
Very central Very noisy, but understandably so
Hotel was nice. Place is very interesting.
Charming hotel, immaculately clean. Fantastically situated in centre of town, seconds away from the old town. The best part is the friendliness and charm of the owners, Natalie and Pierre, who can't do enough for their guests.
friendliness and convenience to cafés of Vence bit noisy at 6am from the road which can't be helped. Needs air con.
Staff were extreamly friendly, spoke excellent English, room was clean and service was prompt. No bad points about this hotel.
Very close to the Vieux Ville (Old town) and the train station. Helpful staff, Good room, clean.
Location was excellent. The owners were always available and went out of their way to make the stay a pleasant one. No
That it was in the middle of the town
the hosts were incredibly friendly, helpful, and unintrusive. The location was fantastic for access to the town attractions. The subsidised car parking was a real bonus for us as we used the nearest car park every day. whilst the bedrooms had been nicely updated, the bathroom seems to have been forgotten about, very dated and with only a hand-held shower. there appeared to have been a problem with damp which affected the external bathroom wall leaving a patch in the bedroom, but this didn't affect anything.
reception staff most helpful when we had a problem with our hire car. All staff very friendly and helpful about Vence and surrounding countryside. All spoke good english.
Staff very helpful and friendly. Excellent parking. Hotel very near the centre of Vence provided you are prepared to climb a steepish path which is a better option than driving and then trying to find somewhere to park. Breakfast fine but dinner in the hotel was not very good. Recommend visitors choose a restaurant in the town.
The Air Con in our room was more like a fan blowing air so not much use The lack of true air conditioning
A very nice hotel with very friendly and serviceminded staff. Nice swimming pool. Walking distance to the old town is only 300 meters. Good parking facilities. The garden needs some flowers and benches.
The staaf is very friendly, breakfast is OK and you can ask for additional food if you want (should be better indicated) Thi size of the room and bed and also the dated nature of the rooms
First the warm welcome, next, everything else Leaving
The front desk people were above-and-beyond great. They had a computer for Internet access, which was tremendously helpful--the only chance I got to check my email for about a week. Very comfortable, charming, slightly bizarrely-decorated room. (I like this kind of thing; my friend was perhaps a little less enamored with it.) Great hotel.
good prices, nice location bed was tiny and extremely uncomfortable
Staffs are all very kind. Good location to the old town. Tasty foods. Nice room. Nothing.
Serene place, comfortable rooms. The hotel is near a train track. You can hear the trains go by. The best rooms are away from the street and the train tracks.
Nice poolarea. Beutiful surroundings. Good brekfast. Not a familyplace. Very basic gym.
The design, landscape and setting of Le Mas De Pierre is definitely beautiful. The staff are very professional and diligent. The restaurant is very high quality and a great dining experience.
The style and unhurried existence in such a beautifully appointed hotel with such excellent food and attention. Well there are two things. The "piped" music all day every day is irritating and not at all what you would expect. Gentle, varied classical would make a great improvement. Secondly, when we checked in at 2pm there was a dirty breakast tray outside out room which was still there the next morning. That is just not good enough.
Luxury hotel with all facilities. Easy to reach, excellent central location. Beautiful herb and vegetable gardens. Hotel staff is not up to the level of the facilities. We were greeted in English, but the girl concerned could not answer any questions in that language. Upon arrival we were told that we could not have dinner in the hotel restaurant because it was fully booked; looking cross and disappointed for a few minutes resulted in a magic cancellation out of thin air, so that we could have dinner after all. Having told the head waiter at the start of dinner that one of us was a vegetarian, we had nevertheless meat or fish dishes brought to our table five times. As a whole, the hotel and restaurant are overpriced.
The hotel is beautiful, the staff incredibly attentive, courteous and helpful. We were made to feel like nothing was too much trouble. The buffet breakfast was one of the best I can remember having. The only small complaint is that the room had shutters, but the bathroom windows didn't, and the door between the bathroom and bedroom was glass fronted, so it got very light in the room in the early morning. The amazing view from the balcony made up for that though!
excellent venue. we enjoyed our stay.
Hotel is spacious and peaceful, a perfect place to relax! Staff speaks good english and very helpful! Room (in particular the bathroom) needs a bit of updating, wall in the bathroom has mould and shower door can't be closed properly.
Beautiful hotel great location lovely rooms variable service, seemed short of staff, on night we arrived took 30 mins to get drink in bar and no luggage porter. One day room not cleaned until 2 30 when we wanted to get back in it and then no towels left, no shower cap for 5 days
We enjoyed the trranquility of the setting in a medieval village. Food was excellent but expensive. Would recommend a stay for that special occasion.
People at reception desk restaurant, bed(matress), access
Front of house staff, decor and suite size. Expensive and repetitive menu, no outlook on village side, uncomfortable beds, village is major tourist destination!
Excellent service and great restaurant! The staff went out of their way to make sure we were happy. A wonderful experience.
The attention to detail was excellent and the staff made us feel very special. Food was first class. A shame that we could not have dinner in the garden restaurant as the temperature was only slightly too cool. Would heaters be an option?
It was excellent. Courteous and friendly staff all of them are fluent in English. Everywhere in the hotel is highly decorative. Service snack and drink for guests in the lobby. Excellent dinner and breakfast. The key for room was old fasioned and it was always difficulty to open the door.
The location to the shopping district. I think the decor and carpeting could be updated.
Great location - quite close to train station. Clean hotel and had a room with a balcony overlooking Rue Jean Medicin. Friendly staff. Nothing in particular.
the ubication was excellent, the hotel is modern and the personal was very nice
staff was friendly no maintenance in the evening.
The hotel was very central and most of the staff were excellent. One guy was very rude. We only had one key for a shared room.Could not access the iron in evening before dinner and the receptionist did not do his best for us to get it. he was very abrupt saying they did not have one.The hairdryer was antiquated.very old and useless.need replacing.
Super helpful staff
the friendlyness of the staff at the reception desk The rooms were not cleaned adequately every day, sheets were not changed and soap was not restocked every day. Also, internet access was a rip off pricewise.
best price in offpeak season.
upon checking in we reported the bed linen being dirty, it was noted and told it can only be tended to the next day, the next day the roomstaff still did not change it. I certainly won't stay at this hotel neither recomend it
The hotel is very well located Staff at the reception could have been more helpful
Nice and clean rooms, close to most Nice amenities, 2 car rentals in the same building (plus casino and police! dept) Common area is very small and required slight renovation, personnel could be more friendly
Excellent location, friendly&helpful staff. -
An excellent location and very helpful staff - they contacted a local museum for us to find out if it was open on a Public Holiday (it wasn't!) The buffet breakfast was a bit disappointing. It looked good but all the breads were very dry and chewy, the fruit didn't taste fresh and tea needs to be made with boiling water, not from a pot of warm water brought to the table.
Very convenient location. Room was spacious. Staff were good humoured and helpful. Bed was super comfy!
location was wonderful, just across the street from the beach and only a couple of blocks from the old town
Friendliness of staff. Reccomendations for excellent local restaurants UnInformed of Sarcozie's visit & therefore inability to get in or out of hotel
good staff bedroom quite dark on second floor
excellent situation for beach and right on promenade. service was good, friendly staff.
Location, location, location Clear specification of parking on web site
Seaview rooms are great, exactly in front of the sea and with a modern furniture.
The location, and room size. The hotel was very clean. We would have liked 2 chairs in the room. The bar area was basic and lack atmospere, it did not open until 6pm. The roof terrace was closed the whole time we were there.
Excellent location for shops and beach. Very nice hotel. Room not quite matching external areas of hotel. Overall, very nice hotel. Rooftop restaurant/bar/seating area impressive. Room very average.
Location Everything else. Room to small old dirty, poor breakfast, service. My Deluxe room was much small than my friend's superior ?
Location Room size
location excellent, quiet, very good maid service, plenty of towels the tv selection is not for english speakers, the shower did not have hot water all the time and hard to control, bathroom small for so called luxury hotel, no coffee or tea with room, no couch in room, staff was aloof
What I liked most about the hotel is that it is very central. You are near the sea and shopping and restaurants are also very close. Probably coming from a country that has a "smoking ban" I felt that the smell in the corridors was quite overpowering, and this was made worse by the fact that air freshner's were used. I feel the hotel needs some freshening up. Breakfast also was delivered incorrectly to us on our first morning. We did not get what we ordered and it was cold.
Location Poor view from room. No coffee or tea making acilities in the room.
location, price and atractivness I does not have a pool and the room was small.
Location Staff not very helpful. Very slow to deal with guests at reception
we were given room 401. We liked it because it was a renovated room with a view of the sea. The bed was very good. Towels were good and the supplies (soap, shower cap, body cream etc...) in the toilet were good.
the location was ideal, the hotel very comfortable. In short, we were very satisfied.
close proximity of sea and shops/restaurants. grandeur of a hotel with history and tradition.
nice view, good breakfast and restaurant
Very friendly helpfull staff
Interior and seaview, helpful receptionist Poor breakfast, leaking ceiling
It was right on the Esplanade D'Anglaise and very well located for everything.
The friendly and helpful staff and the fact that it was so near to the bay No
Across the street from the beach, fairly good location with free internet. Excellent refurbished bathrooms. Staff was very friendly, particularly the bellman. Pictures on the hotel site do not match rthe ooms - stained rugs, old looking furniture, very hard beds and rough linens do make it a newly renovated room except for the wonderful bathrooms. However the size was perfect for two people and the rooms were clean.
A spacious bedroom & bathroom A little strange there was not shower curtain or door in the bathroom
Fabulous location and views, excellent access to old city
