The grounds were beautiful as were the guest rooms in the main building. Service was excellent! It was a real treat to stay in such an historic and well-preserved chateau.
We thought we were reserving a room with a private bathroom; our bath was shared with one other room and available to anyone in the building. Coming during early winter (Oct-Nov) restaurants in the area were all closed for the season.
Excellent location and food.
Didn’t allow dogs in restaurant despite checking in advance that they would.
Everything was outstanding. Property, atmosphere, location, host, food, wine. Just perfect. Can not fault this place
Nothing not to like. Refreshingly perfect in every aspect
We opted for the fireside dinner and it was fantastic. The location was very romantic and the dinner was delicious. Wines were paired with the two main courses. The Château overlooks the Lorraine Valley and offers beautiful views of the French countryside. We were visiting the American Cemetery from the Battle of Saint-Michel and the Château was nearby.
Really amazing building, which is what you are paying for and it’s worth it at low end of rooms. (Can’t comment on other rooms.) Good location for WWI battlefields. We stayed in middle tower room. It was simple and clean. Two small windows like 30-40cm square. Large shared bathroom with real shower. Nice breakfast. Pleasant welcoming staff.
Bed was OK, lumpy pillows. Expensive for shared bathroom, but no one was in other room. Gardens lack design—a big missed opportunity.
