The staff was woderful and the resort is spectacular
The staff, especially during dinner and breakfast beds, noise from other rooms and halls
It was well situated and the staff were excellent.
The spectacular view Very modest menu options for dining at lunch and dinner. Particuarly, light alternatives to full course meals.
Staff was helpful, breakfast was OK, location is great close to metro, bus station, Fonck museum, Vina del Mar music festival park and places to shop. There are many small stores where you can buy moais very cheap. Very noisy and the shower didn`t work very well. The water was not so hot.
Staff at front desk were friendly enough and spoke a little English; elevators were functioning and clean, room was minimalist but clean and comfortable and quiet; bathroom was clean with nice showerhead; front desk called a private taxi for us when we checked out. A young man on the staff went out of his way to let us know how long we could expect to wait for the cab and to let us know when it arrived for us. We missed the full breakfast, so when we went to the self-serve breakfast afterward, the options were limited to basically bread, coffee, and tea. That would have been fine, except staff did not seem interested in making breakfast easy or comfortable for us. The area was messy from the full breakfast earlier that morning, and we had to ask where to sit and how to get our food, because the staff in the cafe area were not especially attentive or helpful to us obvious foreigners.
Ibis is located right on the docks and above the metro station. We loved the colors of the barges and the city outside our window. The location was so central to museums, the historic neighborhoods and important monuments. Breakfast was pretty weak and the pillows were a bit clumpy.
ocean view and seal colony
Loved the view from the balcony. Also that it was away from city.
It has an excellent view of the sea and the city of Viña del Mar. It is right in front of a rocky islet of rocks where seals live. It is also near restaurants and a grocery store. It offers a nice kitchen with a basket of fresh bread, jam, butter, coffee and sugar which can be used for breakfast. The staff are kind. It is targeted for comfort instead of luxury and it could help to have salt and pepper in the basket.
A very good view of the ocean and close to some good resturants It cost too much for the money
