Big room, tidy, good location.
Hotel reception closed 7pm and 11pm everyother day. No info about this on the website. No extra blankets. No hangers for the towels in bathroom. No fridge in the room.
Liked spaciousness, nice bathroom with a bath which my wife prefers to a shower.
Poor ventilation unless large doors were left open, making the room stuffy overnight. Lack of keys to lock both patio doors and the inter leading door between adjoining rooms. Luckily the people in the adjoining rooms were friends that we could trust.
If the weather was poor no cafe or bar facilities within the hotel therefore would have to go out of the building.
Central location, staff was very helpful.
We were not aware that no one would be at the reception when we arrived. The street was not on our GPS and we called the agency that did the booking and they did not give us accurate directions. I feel this is important because the directions they gave us led us to the next town.
Spacious room with nice view over the Gouwzee. Very new and hence very good state of maintenance. Terrific location. Very good value for money due to low price. Nice staff (when present).
Management should realise that running a hotel is something else than running cottages. E.g. for a hotel it is really not acceptable that the reception closes after all expected guests have arrived (reception desk in a hotel has additional tasks over only welcoming new guests), and daily cleaning of rooms should be normal (instead of only on request).
