Location was excellent. Walking distance to Chinatown and Smithsonian museums and the other Mall attractions.
Loved the friendly staff at the breakfast buffet.
Comparably to others In the area, I found Hyatt’s valet slightly higher than other hotels.
Noting, only the location is very good, close to white house
There is no breakfast, we get our room after 4 hours and replaced 4 rooms... very disappointed
The staff was exceptional- very friendly and even remembered our kids names and talked with them each time we saw them. The location was great with just a short walk to the National Mall and White House. It was clean and well maintained.
It seemed to be more of a conference/business stay hotel, as there is no pool or play area for children. It did not matter to us because we knew we would spend the majority of our time outside exploring, but if you have young children and are looking to keep them entertained AT the hotel it might not be your best option.
It was right in the heart of DC so we could walk everywhere The staff was polite and courteous, not too over the top Nice convenience shop near the lobby area Close to affordable parking not connected to the hotel
The room was a bit tight for the 4 of us Dining options were limited at the hotel and expensive Parking was double what we would have paid directly across the street in the CityCenter plaza
A responsive staff, comfortable room. No problems. Room was ready at 9 am.
Nice staff and location
Metro attached to hotel Liked comfort and flexibility of restaurant and bar. Very accommodating to our family of 15 for dinner.
As an Ohio State Buckeye fan, there on the annual rival between OSU and Michigan, we wore our OSU gear and decided we liked the hotel bar nooks of chairs around TV. We were so disappointed the bar only plays music and the TV’s are muted. There were other guests also asking to hear the game. First staff said they can’t play the TV volume. Then they said they would try but there was no one in house that knew how to. We certainly would have spent the time at another establishment. I’m glad I wasn’t hearing impaired. No one on site even knew how to put on subtitles to follow the story. Didn’t expect that negative experience.
The Grand Hyatt is our favorite hotel. They have everything from good food to gift shops to a pool. I would highly recommend it!
The room service options were slightly limited
Convenient location near Chinatown Metro
Lots of foodie options and gourmet coffee within a five minute walk. Close to subway. Acceptably clean.
Clearly some deferred maintenance in the guest room bathroom.
Christmas break mini getaway
The room was very clean, the price was reasonable for downtown DC. Went to get away and attend a Wizards game, and the location is perfect for attending events at Verizon. Would absolutely stay again.
Pool water was cold.
I like that I was created with champagne and the staff were very friendly!
The location was great and the rooms were updated.
To big. Staff was not very friendly.
