Great location, and easy to walk to downtown locations for food and general shopping. Easy access to public bus transportation, and Taxi service. Friendly staff, clean rooms, and "easy on the pocket-book" room rates! One elevator helps with getting to upper level rooms.
Parking is a problem! There are "no" vending machines for beverages or snacks. There is "no" bellman on duty, at any time. You are on your own as far as luggage, or special requests. No pool, business room, bar, work-out room, or television in the lobby.
The room was clean, the beds were comfortable and the linens were fresh.
The rooms are in bad need of remodeling; one of our windows did not fully close and had tape all over to stop the drafts, there was a hole in the wall in the bathroom, the walls and woodwork had wide cracks in them; Still, I would probably stay there again because the other hotels in DC are much more expensive and this one is good enough for someone who is out on business all day anyway.
Rooms are a good size. Linens are clean and fresh. Bed and pillows were comfortable.
Carpets and wallpapers are dingy and dated. Couldn't tell if they were dirty or just old.
Room I stayed was freezing cold at night there was a window that didn't close.
Near city center
The room smal
Nice base to vist the city. The district has a large choice of markets and restaurants and the metro station is fairly close.
The room (1st floor) was too little, one of the two beds was placed right in front of the door with little/no space to get through. The bathroom (except for the shower) was even smaller and extremely unconfortable. The breakfast was completely insufficient (stale croissants!) and the breakfast room was so small we had to seat at a table in the corridor!
Their staff are very friendly. The hotel building and lobby is very cozy.
Rooms are quite small, breakfast doesn't have much chioce.
I liked the relaxed athmosphere. You can tell that all guests are at home, we had a nice chat with other guests at breaskfast. And we loved the location, the hotel is in a quiet street, but really closed to everithing.
We liked everything but, I would like an smoking room!
It was easy to get around town either by taxi or metro
Well, there was alot of noise in the neighbourhood... sirens,...etc. I slept well though
place. Close to all think-tanks.
1. Noise of water. I can not even explain - but pipes were unbelievably noisy. As if all pipes of the city in my room. 2. Air-conditioner. The control of the conditioner was in some other room (not mine) and staff had no access to it (??!!!!!). So I was frozen to death during couple days of my stay. The temperature in the room was about 5-8 C° (45F°) 3. Wi-Fi Internet was not fine on the 4th floor... 4. Not always they were able to connect people calling me to my room - so I had to go downstaires to the reception to answer the phone call ))))
Welcoming and homelike.
Our room, and especially the ensuite, was a bit too cold in the snowy weather.
