Pros. The cat, the location, the price
Cons. The bathroom was set up a bit weird but it functioned fine.
Pros. Far from the newest hotel on the market, it's welcoming and clean. From the house cat snoozing on the carpet on the stairs or landing, to the big communal breakfast table, it has the character of an older house. Quiet.
Pros. Loved the proximity to DC points if interest and U street.
Cons. Room was always hot. AC did not work.
Pros. We may have gotten the last available room on the Friday of the Valentines/Presidents Day weekend. Free coffee in the lobby (a lifesaver for me).
Cons. Twin beds instead of a double, $5 charge for breakfast (which we took a pass on, if I have to pay for it I'll go somewhere else for breakfast), but my major complaint was about the heating system. Our room could be cold or it could be stifling, but there wasn't anything in between.
