intelligent and courteous staff special treat for birthday
Good location, good service, small but comfortable room, good value in general
Excellent position in Weimar and lovely atmosphere
This hotel was comfortable, stylish and of high quality, consisting of excellent value for money. Free, unlimited internet use in the room we chose proved most valuable. All staff were efficient, courteous, relaxed and friendy and I would be happy to return regularly. Nothing.
Excellent location. Warm cosy rooms. Nice breakfast. Limited room service available before 1800. Rude staff at breakfast.
Friendly attitude and efficiency of all staff members - truly remarkable and worthy of a five star hotel rooms are very small
Ambience Wifi, although advertised, not available in our part of hotel.
locality I wanted to propose to my girlfriend, first the Restaurant was closed for the evening, then the Rasputin cellar also closed last minute and lastly we got offered the Cafe to eat.
good location, very helpful staff, good value for 5-star hotel
Small room. Better to park in street, cost wise. Expensive breakfast. No air conditionning, be forewarned for summer! Unacceptable for a recent 4* hotel.
The staff were friendly. It was too bad that we could not take the offer of an Mövenpick ice cream for our children as they each just had a large scoop in the city and it was right before dinner time. The restaurant or the pub where we had dinner was nice and cozy with a very friendly waitress. The larger restaurant was later occupied by a group tour guests. Breakfast excellent with large vegetable/fruit selection. The pillows were a bit too soft for me.
Nice restaurant. Great location , next to park and close to centre.
comfort, quiet room, close to city no kettle for tea or coffee in the room
Excellent location, almost on the back of the Goethe house, it faces a beautiful park; rooms are large and modern, dogs are welcomed, though the hotel charges a few extra euros, breakfast excellent but expensive perhaps a four star hotel should offer a free wireless connection
Really nice hotel very close to the city center. Everything was perfect!
Central location Very noisy rooms at the front - which were advertised as 'facing the park' but there a busy street runs in front of the hotel. Airco didn't work so we had to open the windows. Staff very efficient but also not particularly friendly.
The Hotel was modern and efficient, displaying discreet luxury. The restaurant was very good, the breakfast buffet spectacular. The rooms were airy and comfortable, high quality linnens. I would recommend this Hotel
a very good location and a pleasant atmosphere
quiet comfortable room excellent breakfast friendl helpful staff good location
The location is excellent and the standard of the facilities available is wonderful.
Perfect location directly on the main town square, but easy to access parking in rear. Classic old hotel, thoroughly renovated. Nice bar area. Good, though pricey, breakfast. Wireless internet access limited to certain rooms (they graciously moved me) and through T-com at 18 EUR for 24 hours. Room was a bit too warm with windows closed.
the situation. the hotel is advertised as historical, but there are no traces of anything older than a few years: just another standardized european hotel. The 6 euros charged to use the internet for two minutes appears as a unwelcoming gesture
Central location, walked to the Opera, to Church for concert and to Weimarhalle ( symphony hall) No problem during day or night!! nothing at all
It was refined, elegant and on the main market square. Prices were refined, too. Level of english of staff was very poor considering the quality of the hotel. While wonderful to overlook the main square, the heat meant opening the windows and suffering the noise. Some might want to ask for a room overlooking the courtyard.
It was all good. We were originally allocated a small room right at the top of the building, and although it advertised 'wi fi' in all rooms it was impossible to get. On talking to reception, they upgraded us to the only available room, which was like a suite.....and the upgarde was free of charge, so full marks to the hotel. Breakfast not included in the price and was very expensive, but there were plenty of places to eat near the hotel. o not a big problem.
Excellent situation with own parking.
5 star hotel that really is a 5 star hotel. Do not miss the breakfast as it it the best I've ever had and I've been around. Anything you would like is out in the buffet and they cook the eggs perfectly to order and bring it to your table. You also can get espresso or cappuccino at no additional charge. It's a short summer season so I understand that there is no air conditioning but there should have been a fan in the room.
parking facility, location of the hotel, friendly staff no airco
Excellent service; a place to smoke cigars; excellent food; lots of history(Hitler stayed there and caused the place to be remodeled before WW!!). Understated luxury with a great location.
The location was fantastic: right on the centre of Weimar within walking distance of all the major tourist spots. The reception staff were very helpful and pleasant and my single room on the 3rd floor was lovely and very comfortable: it felt like home with the advantages of a hotel. The whole hotel was spotlessly clean and tastefully furnished. The buffet breakfast was very good indeed with a wide choice of food in an airy and light-filled modern room in the back extension. The car park was most convenient and the hotel easy to find. No there was not. E=We had a very pleasant stay and on the day of departure were able to leave our luggage in the luggage room until 4 pm.
nice traditional hotel in excellent location with free parking a second pillow would have been more comfortable
Very comfortable and attractive rooms, friendly staff and perfect location at very reasonable price. N/A
Breakfast was included, parking was free and at the hotel (not off site), very good location A printed, color city map would be better to give the guests rather than a xerox copy which was harder to read.
It was close to the city centre and had free, secure parking No one helped us (3 guests) with the luggage on arrival or departrure
location, charm of hotel, great breakfast I wish a family room had been available
Closeness to the center of the old town of Weimar, friendliness of staff, and practicality of a well-equipped kitchenette.
Location is great and the ambiance also No internet access in the room, and no coffee machine for expresso in the breakfast.
The staff were friendly and competent and the hotel was clean and welcoming in furnishing. A hotel without airconditioning on a hot summer week is not really nice when trying to sleep. I was "lucky" enough to have two windows', but of course one didn't open, so I couldn't even get a breeze developed through the room. Regardless the heat wasn't to bad, but it did make falling asleep difficult.
Central location, friendly reception by staff, abundant choice of breakfast
Friendly and helpful staff
location in downtown 1) I booked non smoking room but was not respected. We were placed to room for smokers with awful smell. 2) I would expect room is fitted with a small bar frig at such a hotel
Great location, good value for the price. Parking rather far.
Room and service. No have wireless internet and cooling fan (in Summer)
Location, price/quality, breakfast, staff
Excellent location, friendly service, comfortable rooms.
Location is excellent for visiting Weimar and surrouning areas with all bus services within three minutes walk. A quiet and comfortable hotel with good breakfast.
Decent rooms, very central location - right in the middle of the altstadt, good breakfast. Rooms were spotless clean.
Pretty much everything, really! No
best location for sightseeing in center of city. clean and comfortable room. Very good buffe for breakfast!
The quiet surroundings. The style of the building. (1) This is one of these hotels where you do not see a living soul when you come back in the evening after dinner. There is no place where you can relax and read a book or a newspaper or drink a glass. All lights are out and all doors are closed except that of your own room. If one member of a couple wants to go to bed and the other wants to stay awake for another 20 minutes, forget it. (2) Contrary to what is mentioned on the Booking.com confirmation, the American Express credit card is not accepted for payment.
Extensive German continental buffet breakfast
Good, nice location, at walking distance from the city centre. Enough parking spaces at (paid) and around the hotel (free of charge). Large room. Very nice breakfast room, they really put effort into it. Good, extensive breakfast. Price versus overall quality is good, especially when you take the location into account. Room interior (including bathroom) is a bit outdated. Beds can be a bit tough, depending what you are used to. The curtains could be more darkening. But these are not really problematic things.
This hotel is well situated within easy walking distance to restaurants, shopping, etc. in Weimar.
It was quiet and provided an excellent breakfast!!
Spacious, clean room with bath tub. Excellent location. Excellent breakfast. Parking in garage available. Reception clerk was very helpful.
Quiet location, large rooms, good garage.
The location is quite convenient, near the town center. The room was absolutely clean and well furnished, the staff was really nice and friendly, the breakfast was also good. A good place to stay in. Nothing.
The staff were helpful and friendly. The food in the restaurant was very good.
My room was very comfortable, and very nicely decorated! The breakfast was excellent and furthermore, it was served in very beautiful china, which made the whole experience even better! The garden arround the hotel makes the hotel even more precious! There were not international TV channels. Everything else was excellent!
small hotel on quiet street, walking distance from towncenter, fairly large room. breakfastroom too small.
Das Kleine Hotel was in a great location, a residential area but within an easy walk of the city centre. Weimar turned out to be a real gem, easily negotiated and with lovely walks along the river. Our hostess provided us with a little news bulletin every morning with the weather forecast, local news and items of interest. Be aware that she only speaks German and the bulletin was also in German but we managed to communicate easily. It was helpful to have parking on site and also somewhere to sit outside. Breakfast was good and we'd recommend the hotel, our room was large and I wish we could have stayed another night.
The hotel was good and appropriate, very satisfactory rooms ans parking (important to us) There is only one very precise item: it was predicated that it had WiFi service in the rooms, and this was only possible if you had a handy mobile phone, not our case, please review this since it is a contradiction with the announcements. The lady manager was kind enough to let us use her computer.
Good choice. Spotless clean, you get a whole appartment at the top floor of a geat old but renovated house (2 rooms and a kitchen) + breakfast included for 100 euros. The place is just beautiful, quiet and 1-2 mins walk from everything thats worth seeing in Weimar. Weimar btw is a great place to go, absolutely worth a weekend. the breakfast was tasty but basic, but them perhaps we were late...
It's a centrally located hotel with friendly staff, happy to give out advice and directions. A good choice.
Very good hotel staff. Clean room. Accomodation seems to be quite new. Location is quite far from main station.
good location, good room, good staff and good breakfast missing lift, but staff offered help with luggage
The location of this hotel is excellent, only few hundred meters to Gothe's Home Museum and other Weimar's famous atractions. Our room was quiet, clean and spacious. The breakfast was included in the price and it was very good. The service personnel was friendly. To summarize: this was one of the best accommodations during our visit in Eastern parts of Germany and the price performance of the hotel was very good.
The hotel is a bit out of the city centre. The atmosphere was very quiet. The decor was not warm and inviting.
Location is good, so is breakfast. althought we stayed on 30.12-31.12, front of the hotel was closed from 20:00. We had to walk for 5 minutes to pick the key up without map.
A good clean & comfortable room, with pleasant staff. Parking was a little problem as there were road works in an adjacent street.
An excellent hotel in the best German tradition, cosy, clean and welcoming. I would like to stress the professionalism of the staff. The position of the hotel is no mean asset for those wishing to visit Weimar as one of the topical spots of Europe. Near to Goethe- and Schillerhaus, and to the Nietzsche Archive. To end up this assessment, It is near to one of the oldest restaurants in the city, where one can get acquainted even with Goethe's favorite meal. Excellent.
Good location. On a walking distance to the city center. Nice, modern rooms. Cheap public parking on the street nearby. The wi-fi didn´t work at all.
Staff extremely pleasant, helpful and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and pleasant. Room was very clean. Breakfast was excellent. Nice pub. Would definitely stay again
The hotel reception was closed until 17:00 (5PM) and I was left to wait in the cold rain for 90 minutes until a stranger found a way to contact the owner, when there was no response at the telephone number posted at the door.
The room was very big and comfortable with a separate foyer and bathroom. The bar downstairs is filled with smoke. This was a big problem for me. The only place the free internet worked was in the attached restaurant, which was just as smoky as the bar. This is also the breakfast room and I encountered the same situation at 9 AM. Also, upon arrival, one must enter through the bar to receive a key. The bar was so smoky that it did drift up the back hallway and into my room on the first floor. Fortunately, the separate foyer stopped the smoke from entering my bedroom.
We booked the family room, which turned out to be an apartment with two bedrooms and a living room area. The breakfast was good. No one was at the hotel when we arrived even though the information provided by booking.com said that check-in was available any time during the day. It was cold and raining, so my wife and son had to wait outside while I went to find a pay phone to call the hotel owner.
Free internet access. Friendly staff. Large, clean room. Not negative, but good to know: only cash payments are possible. No cards.
