There was a fault with the plumbing in the bathroom which made very loud vibrating noises thoughout the night. When we complained we were only given a 5 Euro discount - pretty poor compensation for having had virtually no sleep.
Only there 1 night, but staff were pleasant and efficient. No complaints at all.
Great breakfast Nice clean modern rooms No quad rooms, which is a bit of a nuicance with kids
The proximity of the woods, since we were travelling with a dog. The vacuum cleaning of the room - there wasn't any. Since we had a dog, and walked every day in the woods, the room could have been hoovered during our stay.
Convenient for car access to H/V park
Hospitality, very good breakfast and free WiFi in the room Nothing, I prefer this Hotel already 15 years
nice place to stay and breakfast is nice. not easy to arrive for people without a car.
The breakfast was better than average. The beds were comfortable and the room was quiet and clean. It was over a kilometer's walk to the area where all the restaurants were. The dinner in the hotel restaurant was good but there was quite a lot of food and we wanted to try something else the 2nd night. The wine bar didn't appear to have a large variety of wine.
Hotel Staff were very friendly. The wireless internet was not working in my room all the time.
quit environment and good hotel
Excellent food, lovely friendly staff, luxurious feel, country setting, close to Kroller Muller museum
Thank you for a very special 3 days in Oterlo. The staff was charming and efficient; the room perfect; and the location by Nationaal Park De Hoge Veluwe ideal. We also had an outstanding dinner and wonderful breakfasts.
The rooms were beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. It was clear that the hotel had been renovated recently. Very comfortable beds and linens. I was also able to access wifi from my room. The check in and check out was too long since the staff were always busy with the restaurant. Perhaps more staff can be available at the reception during check out hours.
Location - scenic and near to the National Park There is no elevator, we need to climb up the spiral staircase
Clean and comfortable room but nothing special. Excellent location for national park. Excellent buffet breakfast.
Celan+breakfast Otterlo is a very small country and you need a car to go somewhere i think.
The staff were friendly and welcoming, the hotel is very well placed for the nearby national park. There were too many flies in the dining room.
ambience waiting long time for waiter for dinner
Convenient to National Park entrance. Hotel staff picked us up at the train station (there was a bus strike at the time). Many thanks for that!!
The staff at all times were most friendly, pleasant and helpful. Visiting the local interests especially the Kroner Muller museum and Hoge Veluwe park. Sitting on the terrace of the hotel in the evening enjoying a glass of wine and generally soaking up the ambience of this very vibrant hotel. That the locals came to eat here is recommendation in itself. Ironically the meals - I could not fault the presentation, the quality of cooking nor the wide and imaginative choice of menu but for me the portions were too large - I would have preferred a choice of portion size - I hate leaving half a meal on my plate !
The staff: kind, attentive, ready to serve their clients - and always with a smile. nothing at all. MY ADDRESS HAS CHANGED - I LIVE IN ZEIST NOW. And I was staying in "Kruller" with my sister.
Well appointed hotel with courteous and helpful staff. Restaurant food good and general environment excelllent. A short walk from the national park entrance.
The internet cafe, breakfast and friendly staff. Shower not working in the first room - changed quickly by staff to another room. No adaptor plugs available.
The staff were very accommodating and helpful and the room was very comfortable, spacious and clean. The proximity to Amsterdam. It might be helpful to provide some sort of shuttle to/from the train stations so that a guest doesn't have to worry about the infrequent taxis.
Quiet, forest location
free Inernet on computer cigar in ashtray of bath room, dirty
The location of this hotel is great. Not too far from the Kroller Muller Museum and the national park. They have bicycles to rent if you wish. Breakfast was acceptable. The toilet was running during most of our stay (2 days). The staff worked to repair it, but it wasn't fully fixed before we left. Not an issue for us, but would have been a problem if we stayed longer.
pleasant hotel, with modern decor. slightly difficult to find after dark
The serenity not really
Clean, nice location. Room was a bit uninviting.
Great accomodating helpful staff
Comfortable hotel with excellent staff. Ideal for a relaxed stop not far from the motorway.
our stay at the hotel was great! the room was good, so was the breakfast. there is not that much we didn't like..the only thing was that it was a bit difficult to find because the center was 'carfree'.
The hotel is located in Lunteren which is a wonderful little town--very picturesque. The area is central to most of Holland. The desk clerks were extremely friendly and obliging. There was an excellent breakfast buffet and an attractive room where one could sit and have tea in the evenings. Parking was free which is not always the case in some European hotels. We really enjoyed our stay. For where it was the hotel was a bit expensive. The rooms were comfortable but very basic.
Nice and quiet place, friendly hotel staff Limited parking place, dark room
Accommodation nice and atmosphere is good, rooms simple but sufficient. Breakfast was nice, with more choice then expected! Would have been nice to have restaurant and busy bar, the facilities are there...
the kindess of the staff, the interior, the bed The shower was a bit strange. It stood in a corner without any glass protection around. The whole bathroom was soaking wet after a shower
The area is very quite and clean, it was like Switzerland. The Hotel stuff is very frindly, threat the guests like family members. It was the best Hotel I ever stayed in Holland. If they could let the customers to the computer at night, that would be nice. And also free wifi would be good instead.
friendly personnel, nice shower, lovely village/surroundings, the price of the room the windows did not open and ventilation was poor, small/too soft single beds
The staff was very friendly and most helpful. We were disappointed that the restaurant was closed, but the staff directed us to a delightful French restaurant.
A very enjoyable stay. Great location with friendly & helpful staff. The only issue i had was that the hotel bar had very little to offer - however this meant that a i did try the local spirit!
Atmosphere, friendliness of staff
The location is excellent Do not stay in the "basement" it is terrible
The room was neat and clean, and the staff was friendly. None
The room was comfy and the breakfast, included in the price of the room, was excellent. The hotel is not a 3 minute walk from the train station as suggested on the description.
Very good location. Otherwise fair. Room was dirty and certain places obviously not cleaned for 'ages'. Staff did try to clean after complaints. Hotel is not really geared towards international vitistors.
Helpful staff. Close to town centre. Good value.
close to downtown and easy access to national park by bus it was very smokey, the receptionist was crabby, the hotel was very noisey
breakfast quite ok, no soft boiled eggs, no bacon, bad (instant) coffee
Kindness of staff.
Near my work It was below standard, very old fashionned, expensive for what it was
Lack of a system to pick up room keys after front desk closing time
The personal approach of the friendly staff
value for money
The hotel was very comfortable, quiet and in lovely surroundings
Location in a beautiful forest and at the same time very closed to the city.
The staff very friendly and helpful, Location very peaceful and quite. Small room and bathroom.
Very good food No foreign tv (For example TV5 Monde)
The natural surrounding
I have drunk the most expensive beer ever (8 Euros). It is to much and my only complaint.
