Over priced and not value of monet at all.
It is an economy hotel, and adequate for the price. Could use a little paint in the rooms, repairs to taps and shower stalls. Getting pretty shabby after all these years, but clean and comfortable. TV works, bed comfortable, and the fridge and microwave work, and the waters hot.
The room was disgusting. There was hardly any toilet paper left in the room. It smelt like stale smoke. The baseboards had duct tape all over them. You couldn’t even open a window. The best part was that in the morning going out to my car to see an empty box of condoms and a used needle. And some creep guy behind the motel with an empty bag of empties coming out to ask me for a cigarette.
I liked 2 of the receptionists, Ten and the other gentlemen whose name I can not remember, they had excellent service.. Ten was very patient, friendly and knew some information that was useful for my daughter and I to get around as well as the gentleman. The other lady was least interested and could not even provide information that would be useful for tourism in Winnipeg. I liked that it was close to UOM and was just by the road side.
Everything about the place, dirty outside environment, dirty and smelly rooms with flies all over. I changed rooms 3 times seeking a cleaner and tidier room with good network signal Untidy curtains that were hanging lose, very poor network (wifi). Dirty walls. No tea corner in any of the rooms. Cleaning of the rooms and baths very poor. The head of house keeping very defensive she had just returned from leave and said they don't kill flies. I got into this motel having booked on booking .com and it was the only one close to the UOM with one available room. It did not look too good on booking .com either but I did not expect it to be worse when I got there.
The place was a pigsty. The flooring had more money d on it then actual carpet. Bathroom was full of flies. Shower did not drain. The bathroom sink emitted a very strong sewer odor. I checked out after 2 nights. I agreed to pay for 3 nights if they agreed to refund me the rest. They agreed but only when they had enough cash to pay me. The called me several times to say I would get a refund. When I went to collect my refund the night before I was leaving Canada they said they had no money. An argument ensued and Of course they refused to even return my $100 deposit.
The state of the room. Dirty carpeting.
