The Windsor Hotel

The staff were friendly. Breakfast was satisfying. The hotel had a good location and could park outside most of the time. The room was very clean and the whole was well maintained. The staff in the restaurant for breakfast were friendly and very efficient. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfasts were excellent and the morning staff very pleasant. Too many negotiate, there was no warning of such and both my wife and I have mobility issues caused by arthritis. Bath is narrow, and the shower screen is not moveable and there are no hand rails to assist getting in and out. The hotel had no lift to my room on the first floor. Details - No shower mat or grab handles in my bathroom. My friend reported TV remote batteries had gone but they weren't replaced in the 3 days we were there. The bed was not very comfortable. Unhelpful and one particular rude lady at reception when we arrived. The restaurant wasn't open in the evening's, i think it being not a busy time of year maybe wasn't cost effective for them, but it would have been nice to have known before we arrived. The air con didn’t work, the mini fridge didn’t work. And for £430 for 3 nights is very over priced! Also, no one came to change the bins and give fresh towels. Smaller rooms are very warm, better to go for the larger double rooms. Value for money. Shower! Car parking was very difficult at times - on street parking has time restrictions. it was quīrky. No bedside lights. Shower could have been better. Decor/furniture in room quite outdated but not shabby. Breakfast was fine but £15 was robbery considering nightly room rates. Value for money may be of question. could do with a lick of paint. The restaurant was closed on the three nights of our stay as we would have liked to have dinner in the hotel on at least one evening. Extra electrical sockets particularly bedside. The floor was incredibly creaky in the room, we could also hear the next door floor creaking too. Continental breakfast selection was a little limited, though what there was was good. A second arm chair would have been welcome in the room. Parking was a little limited, though we did always find a space, often the last one.

The hotel is in a great location for Worthing, close to the sea shore, a short walk into town and all the shops/restaurants. Great location, 100 yds from seafront with parking. Not in centre of town, but only a 5 minute walk to centre and Windsor Road leads down to sea front, so lots of good views. The hotel was ideally situated close to the sea front, and a short walk from town centre.
