Good value hotel. Decent breakfast and good evening meals. Bargain prices and a good choice overall. Would happily stay there again.
I have stayed there before and the staff are always welcoming. When I asked to be moved to a quieter room away from traffic, this was dealt with quickly and without fuss.
Nice hotel, good facilities No improvement on breakfast, often cold or without hot drinks
The restaurant The bathroom was pathetic, thetoilet didn't flush we had to use the waste bin. After reporting it it only worked once after the repair.A tile fell of the side of the sink unit & parts of the formica was missing.
Good value for money. Food (Breakfast) was lovely. Decor was dated, but kept very clean.
Very nice girl staff
convenient to location shower could have been better
Staff were helpful and friendly The rooms lacked maintenance, with some basic faults not fixed. e.g Shower head loose and needing holding to use.
location next to sports center where my daughter was competing breakfat cold
The standard of service was of the highest level. Made to feel a valued guest.
friendly helpful staff. had deluxe room which exceeded expectations. buffet breakfast could've been better; not very hot, rubbery eggs, hard croissants and had to ask for more hot water for teapot as only enough for 1 and a half cups between us.
I enjoy your swimming pool very much - one of the best around. I phoned reception many times on the Friday evening to request a taxi but your colleagues did not answer and so I was late for my appointment. The following morning I again phoned reception and again they did not answer.
The food in the restaurant was excellent, unfortunately, they cannot cope when the hotel is full, so unless you go early, you will have to queue. The reception staff, are poor, our rooms were not available until 4.30, and sadly that was after a lot of complaining.
Nice Room! Nothing at all. Great hotel.
Excellent service and facilities None
The staff were very friendly and helpful when asked for assistance. Restaurant food was high quality with a good selection.
The stay was good until 9am, no water, therefore could not shower. After breakfast there was no toilet facilities, that was horrendous because all toilets were blocked by then. The hygeine was nil. I would expect some compensation for this depolrable inconvenience.
My friends and I stayed at Hilton Maidstone as it is half way between our homes. It suited our needs perfectly and was very comfortable. It was close enough to town to leave our cars there and get a cab into town. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Great quality alround None at all
It was clean and reasonably priced Quilt was a bit small
Excellent access to Motorway network Excessive noise from adjacent room.
Nice clean rooms, great location, very friendly staff (!!) Dinner, at the time only 2 staffmembers were available for the entire evening, and they had to do the whole process (cooking, serving, taking orders etc.) which took litteraly hours for us.
quiet, clean, comfortable, good breakfast, friendly staff and a good price if you opt for a room with a view of the Dartford Bridge which we did, be aware that you will get some road noise - it wasnt enough to bother us but might be if you are a light sleeper - but it's worth the noise for the view.
Staff were very polite and helpful. You recieved a warm welcome. The breakfast was excellent and the rooms comfortable and clean. There was a children's TV channel. The rooms were hot, but steps were being taken to address this.
The staff were very polite and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Charging silly money for in room WiFi is a long term grudge of mine with all chain hotels and the breakfast was appalling - only a few sausages and some bread as a warm option and no interest in providing anything else despite there being an hour of breakfast remaining.
Only brief overnight stop on a long journey so really not able to comment Very warm
Location, ease of acess
The cooked part pf the breakfast was not freshly cooked that morning. Evening menue is too rigid.
Ease of access to M25. Unfriendly staff, unhelpful staff and generally not enough staff. Could have got the same overnight stay at similar Hotel across the way for half the price and might have got a smile thrown in for free.
Staff excellent Restaurant menu, limited choice of "1970,s" food. Disappointing for a supposed 4star hotel
The room was very nice and bright and very clean. we all enjoyed the pool. The electric went off in the evening till 6 in the morning, I was pleased we went out for dinner but on return to the room it was in darkness and had to go straight to bed because you couldnt see anythink.
We stayed as I had arranged a surprise 95th Birthday Party for my Father. We found all members of staff to be most helpful and couldn't do enough to help us. The food was great on the evening of the party and the breakfast was wonderful. We has my son's wedding reception at the Bexleyheath Marriott enjoyed it so much we decided to do my Dad's partry there. Would reccomend it to others. No bad points.
Room & service No drinking water, fruit etc., in a premier room
Location & comfort
The room was very spacious, comfortable and clean! Everything was very good on the whole
Very clean and spacious room. Good quality food. Hotel was going through refurbishment - it was no problem but meant it was not as its very best. No instructions on arriving by train - I tried to walk to the hotel from the station - a serious mistake!
we had a pleasant stay the staff were friendly and polite and we would definitely stay there again. Powercut.
This is my third stay at this hotel it is well located for trips to London, Bluewater and Bexleyheath shopping centre. The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. I like the fridge in the room and ice making machine in the corridor so you can relax with a glass of wine in the room. Check out is fast and efficient and breakfast is good. No complaints
The staff were exremely helpful and cheerful. The breakfast facilities and food were of the highest order. Unable to turn off bathroom tap but contact with the main desk resulted in an immediate response and a satisfactory resolution. Did overhear French guests not being sure of the proceedure at the breakfast bar.
Nice modern hotel staff helpful One. Second nights sleep ruined by skutty youths in room(S) opposite. Twice I called reception (12.30 & 3.30am) Music shouting girls screaming mobile phone calls outside room and I think the smell of weed!! To be fair to your staff they stopped the noise however I was too wound up to sleep again properly
Breakfast and time spent in the room ;) Amount to choose from the snacks menu - stated 24 hours however only had 25% of the menu available.
it was close to lakeside shopping centre staff very rude
Reasonable value for money. Reasonably equipped room. See above.
Excellent location for shopping and leisure. Linen wasn't clean as it should be and I asked for clean pillowcases as we could smell the old pillows through the cases. Carpet needed a clean. Perhaps we were unfortunate to have been assigned a well used room.
Warm, quiet, easy to get to The room was ready ontime but as soon as we opened the door to drop our bags of, we were hit with a terrible smell. This at first was thought to be from the bathroom, but this looked clean, the smell was really bad the longer we were in the room. The cost of watching the tv was high £9.99 for one days veiwing of 2 extra channels, and a slow internet connection, this internet was via tv using a keyboard that was wirless.... This alone did not amount to 9.99 costs, the movies were included in this package, but the smell in the room did not permit us to stay in long enough to watch any films. Over all I was disapointed by the smell and facilities availabile were poor. price and location were good!
Staff forgot to put towels in the room but luckily I brought my own along. Having said that I believe it to have been a genuine oversight.
Clean rooms with excellent ensuite bathroom. Very modern rooms. Chargeable internet access. Other hotels stayed at recently, have included free wi-fi access in the rooms.
I was made to feel most welcome by the reception staff, who were very helpful. None
I liked the fact that even so close to the Motorways could hardly hear aby traffic at all. Was impressed with the £9.99 offer of movies/internet, and was therefore disappointed that it wasnt available according to the TV. Also, more and more hotels supply free wifi so having to pay wasnt welcome
Quiet with plenty of staff on hand, most of whom made you welcome. Bar closed at odd times, like 2/30 on Friday afternoon, just as I arrived and wanted to relax with the paper and a glass of wine.
The warmth and friendliness Not really
it was quiet and convenient car parking
Comfortable. Friendly The Restaurant could be better both for Breakfast and Dinner. The Orangery/Bar/Lounge menu and food were better and better value
Fantastic room - huge and luxurious.
Wonderful hotel great food and service.
Staff were very good and attentive Overall, hotel was fine but felt a bit "dated"
The long time at the check out in the morning. A four star hotel should have teo reception staff at this busy period. Also it is a long way to the bottom car park with your luggage.
Decent sized bedroom and excellent bathroom N/A
Our room was spacious, clean and very comfortable and the staff on the reception desk were extremely efficient. I wish we had stayed longer!!
I was very impressed with the help I received as I am blind and found staff extrememly helpfull I found that my room card had not been programed properly and I accidentally was able to open somebody elses room as well as mine
The room was quite small but adequate with the beds very comfortable and all fittings ,bathroom etc. up to normal Marriot standards.Restaurant food and service was very good.
Stayed overnight as we had a Party near by to attend The air con was broken in one of our rooms on the hotest day and we were given a fan
Well set out - rooms are comfortable - easy parking Internet didnt work - aircon unit in room was broken - check out took an age (one staff member only on reception)
we stayed there to attend a family wedding, - immaculate room only thing was going into breakfast at 9.30 we felt the staff were not too interested and rushing to get the room ready for lunch
the whole stay was really fanstatic and relaxing, the staff was all very nice only one prob booked breakfast through this site and it wasnt forwarded to the hotel but as soon as i showed my copy of booking they allowed it, but it was this site that hadnt told them
The friendly staff, cleanliness of rooms and the variety of foods.
Evening meal was nice but very expensive! The hotel booking was a joke, room was not what we booked, moved rooms, they couldnt find our luggage, spa pool was not working, breakfast choice was very limited, they took our breakfast plates from under our noses at exactly 11am when breakfast finished, we had to ask for our plates back. When we checked out they added items to our bill that we had not had from the minibar, even after I told them exactly what we had. The long weekend was like a prison sentence
The whole experiance was very good The only bad ponit was that 2 or 3 things on the late menu where not avalible
We did not find this the usual standard of Marriott Hotels. Restaurant for dinner is not recommended.
Friendly and helpful staff. The tour of the castle. Generally everything very nice.
The staff, room, breakfast, service, and grounds of Hever were all first rate. Wish the check out was later, but otherwise a great place to stay!
Very good value for money could be difficult to find, due to its location
quiet late breakfast
The young girl and the kitchen staff were very helpfull and are to be commended.
It was more like an educational establishment than a hotel. In the bar, men were sitting around at tables with drinks, and working with lap top comuters. One bloke was on his mobile phone all through breakfast.
The room was very comfortable with a contemporary feel. Oakwood House does not have the atmosphere of a 'Hotel'. It is essentially a conference centre with very good accomodation.
The room was very nice. The food was not great, only 3 main meals on the menu.
the price was very god for the room the room was cold they said there was problems with the heating but no heat at night when working in the room
Clean, modern and comfortable room - great shower. Not really a conventional hotel - a conference centre. Dining room lacking in ambience.
everything was fine /clean and tidy
Lovely looking hotel from the outside and in a peaceful location. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was tasty. Staff seemed mostly miserable and only begrudgingly helpful, except for one member of the housekeeping team, who was exceptionally friendly, helpful and polite. For example, there was no explanation at check-in of the breakfast arrangements, and upon calling to find out and making my way to the sparsely populated dining area, not one member of staff approached me to offer me a table, drink or mention that it was a buffet service. Great customer service, guys. The bedroom was lovely at first sight, if cheaply equipped, but the double bed was a couple of bolted together singles and consequently had an uncomfortable solid ridge down the middle, the frankenstein-esque beds also creaked like they were going to fall apart at any second which really limited the athleticism of our sexual escapades. The walls were paper thin, which meant that our German neighbours (we could hear them talking) in the adjoining room probably got very little sleep between the creaking of our siamese-twin beds and the fact that my girlfriend snores like a dying walrus. Oh, and the room was also loving placed right underneath a spotlight which was mostly unpleasant, except for the fact it made me feel like I had finally made my West End debut... All night. Seriously, if you want to stay somewhere in the £70-£90 bracket go to a nice B&B or a Travelodge, rather than risk disappointment in Oakwood House.
Very fresh and nice room. Very hard to find the hotel (in the middle of a University area) Feeling of beeing in the middle of a conference during breakfast. Breakfast was ok but not perfect.
Food in the restaurant was excellent
Room was clean and comfortable, staff were polite and helpful, bar meal selection was more than ample and well presented, all in all a pleasant stay
Staff, location, ease of use, quick check-in &out. Shampoo/body wash in shower. Bit basic for a 4* hotel , bathroom floor could have been cleaner.
It's conveniently placed with plenty of parking and easy access. The restaurant is pleasant enough. The cost of food, 10.95 for a burger and 3.40 for chips is a bit excessive.
the evening meal was excellant value for money and restaurant staff very nice reception staff a bit offhand
hotel was well looked after, rooms and beds very comfortable. Excellent facilities. Will stay in the hotel again. Excellent value for money.
Starbucks Not overly impressed, have stayed in better hotels for the price, Towels could do with being replaced
gym and pool excellent restaurant service, no pay movies
The restaurant and leisure facilities
a very pleasant stay- made a working weekend much more enjoyable.we made use of the pool -wonderful. would have liked pool to be open earlier on saturday!
,nice leisure facilities, lovely setting and grounds distance from lift to room ,
The grounds were nice. The food and drinks were way overpriced, and on the first day the bar had run out of Rose and Vodka!
Whilst typical of so many modern hotels, this one has some helpful and friendly staff and it is in a convenient and pleasant location. The hotel only offers double rooms suitable for disabled guests - I would have preferred a twin room.
The room was of an excellent standard and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Excellent tv / internet An improvement would be air conditioning
Friendliness of staff Poor quality of the function food especially the main course
There isn't anything I can really say... Din't have WI-FI in the room.
staff very good Hotel being revamped but is very jaded
It is located right next to Leeds Castle, which is why we stayed there. It's a bit out of date and unloved. It could be better with some upgrading and cleaning up. 4 Stars? Only on paper!
Rooms nice but a little on the small side for the money. Room clean. Breakfast good. Very hot heating! Shower curtain had been doubled up and was going mouldy / smelly inside it.
The quiet. The helpfulness of the waitress at breakfast. No answer to phone calls. No night porter.
location , location , location
Location Could not get a drink 10.15pm 30th Dec? (Towels up)? No food New Years day (Breakfast) although guests were staying at the Hotel! No-one told. Limited food bar area. Very noisy rooms. Pets allowed to stay in rooms although told Pets not allowed. Carpets very dirty. Guests rooms wall very thin. Could hear everything through walls? Next doors toilet backed onto our Bedhead? The lady may as well have been in the same room, very embarressing. Hotel very tired and needs a total revamp. Given its location (on marina) Sheperd & Neame needs to splash the cash!! and soon.
The bedrooms were comfortable and the decor had an interesting nautical theme. Don't be put off by the look of the exterior; it's much nicer inside. The lighting in the bedroom was very dim and the room was cold. Breakfast service was slow on the Sunday morning.
Overall stay was very good and all the staff were very helpful and friendly. We had no blind up in the bathroom and mentioned it to one of the staff in the bar in the evening and it was dealt with the following day. Very good location for visiting family in Chatham and local amenities.
Friendly, helpful staff. Offered smoking room but now have none.
Situation good. It was a very busy pub not a hotel. Restaurant quality and selection fair. Reception desk was anyone one could get hold of behind the bar which was heaving!!!
The location, friendly staff, being above the pub, the breakfast, design of room, view from room and restaurant, ease of booking online, checking in and out.
It was very close to local amenities and staff and hotel were very good As it was New Year Weekend both fish dishes on menu were not available on both nights we dined there. As a non meat eater this left me with limited choice
friendly staff, good food at reasonable prices, real ales. rooms were very hot, so, some better form of air conditioning would be good, secure parking as we were on motorbikes.
Room/Bed very comfortable. Ideal location for shopping at Bluewater. Breakfast good and enjoyed pool facilities. All staff we meet were excellent. Dissappointed Wi-Fi was not free.
The breakfast was lovely, and the serving staff was excellent! Again, the woman at the reservations over the phone.
Being able to use the swimming pool That the evening menu or at the very least the price of the buffet dinner was not available until very late in the evening
Good service, large room and good value. Good double glazing kept out the traffic noise. Hotel is a bit tired and faded. Really for overnight stops only.
Greeted warmly by fab man on reception. The food at Dartford Hilton is over-priced considering quality. I have stayed several times and am always disappointed with room service, but there is nowhere within walking distance to eat elsewhere so always end up ordering something at hotel. Shame, because everything else there is always first class. X
Room very spacious Breakfast expensive for what we got.
As expected in any Hilton all very good, ex room is big at last a big telly with lots of stations, lovely food and staff. Lack of pictures on the wall, bit drap with none. The taxi service (All Night) do not use very late and dirty
the late check out is fantastic, the pool and steam rooms are a nice add on but in need of refurbishment i have stayed here three times and each time they have had no record of the booking or room has not been ready. compared to premier inn it is long and protracted
Reception took care of error pleasantly First room allocated had one double bed, not 2 as confirmed on the booking
Location, comfort breakfast price fitness facility pool spa steam sauna Nothing
Not clean, badly in need of a refurb
the lake needs a major refurb and not worth the room rates
The views of the lake from the room were incredible. Not enough staff we were kept waiting for everything.
The hotel is convenient for visiting our family and reasonably priced. Decor in public areas is rather outdated and toilets in public areas require updating. Our standard room was well decorated and maintained. Rather short staffed at breakfast time - tables not cleared quickly causing delays at busy times but the 2 staff that we saw worked very hard.
relaxing views, over the lake, water features, not working,(not the end of the world though)
The hotel is convenient and good value for money Poor soundproofing between rooms
Comfort and location
View from window. would of liked nets at window that u could pull across to give a bit of privacy without blocking out view
Excellent room ,lovely hotel brilliant breakfast. Set me up for my journey home to Scotland after travelling up through France. I had travelled 450 miles through France, journeyed over the channel to Dover then drove to your hotel all in 1 day. When we arrived in the lovely room I really needed a drink so in the bar I ordered 1 cider and one glass of red wine for my wife. The charge was £6 I handed over a £10 Scottish note and the barman queried this and dissapeared. I told the barmaid I was too tired for this nonsense and I was drinking my drink anyway. The barman returned and said it will be ok. After I went back to the bar for the same order again, the barmaid said something to me that I did not pick up so I handed over another £10 note as this was all I had and was charged £6-50. I hope this was not a surcharge. Very offensive if it is. Anyway I will stay there again as all the other staff especially the breakfast staff were great and I am going to overlook that incident which borders on racial discrimination
Nothing really. I don't think I will ever stay in the hotel again. The rooms were really uncomfortable. The beds were horrible. We asked for a non smoking room and had stains of cigars in our room. But the worst part is that, since pets are allowed, you can't really know how clean the rooms and the rest is. When stepping out of my room I found dog durst. You can imagine my shock. It has been the most disgusting experience ever. And the worse part is that the staff was not at all sorry for what happened.
Staff very good, breakfast very good, an enjoyable stay Breakfast staff although very helpful and nice forgot napkins, then supplied tea with cup, saucer but no teaspoon. Supplied toast but no butter etc. Little things but slightly annoying having to keep asking for items.
ease to get to from blue water shopping centre clealiness of the rooms lots of fly dirt in the bath and around the taps
Good quality standards, friendly, efficient staff The 'Wifi' system to connect to the internet was not avialable in the rooms
The location Yes plenty. No hot water to shower in the morning. Reception and housekeeping didn't answer the telephone. Breakfast was pandemonium.
the spa, the bar and the room service was lovely The cost of breakfast was automatically added to our bill. However they did remove it when we pointed out that we had not had breakfast
cleanliness and very helpful and polite staff none
Very comfortable bed! Room was excellent however the bathroom was looking very tired and would benefit from refurb.
Although this was a brief overnight stay, we could see that the facilities, including the swimming pool, looked excellent. We thought the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, which is an important first impression.
The personal interest shown to us- great great - we've stayed before and, will book again (directly) and, recommned it to our friends. For me only one thing, no smoking enclosure. So, brrrr cold for a girl from South Africa!
Food was excellent & reasonably priced & rooms were clean, tidy & homely Thought the mattress in my room was quite hard & unforgiving but apart from that enjoyed the stay
Good rural setting. Generous car parking
The friendliness of the staff and the quality of the food the hot breakfast came before we had finished our cereal
We both loved the fact it was secluded and as we got to the room the rooms themselves we can only descibe as being like attached Bungalows and as we went in the design of the room was spot on all the facilities you need but at the same time nice and spacious. The staff in the restuarant and the Hotel reception were very friendly welcoming and attentive. All in all the night from start to finish was superb. Nothing at all staff and the Inn alike were faultless
comfortable and quite.
excellent accomodation, food superb, excellent sevice
The restaurant was excellent! Will visit again.
Friendly and very helpful people. food good at a fair rate.
We were warmly greeted and directed to our room, which was down an extremely steep slope. The room was clean, comfortable and modern although, very dimly lit.The sheets were a dull cream in colour, which tended to make them look grubby white. The bathroom was modern and generally clean apart from under the rim of the toilet. a nice touch was a cafetiere with ground coffee amongst the usual hot drink facilities. The restaurant was definitely gourmet with a wide selection of starters, mains & desserts accompanied by a good choice of wines. We enjoyed two fantastic evening meals. Breakfast was delicious:fresh fruit salad, cereals, yoghurts, toast and a full English. Staff were most accommodating & very friendly. The slope down to the rooms was hazardous. a ground frost made it quite icy in parts.WINTER Would be lethal! On the first two nights the food was outstanding although on our last night my steak was cold. I sent it back with minimal fuss. However, by the time it was returned to me, my partner had finished her meal. The steak was hot, but could no longer be described as "medium" and the accompanying asparagus & dauphinoise potatoes were dried out and I left most ot this meal. I am easily embarrassed & did not want to make a fuss, but did question why it was still on the bill. I was given £6.50 reduction, but still charged £13.50 for the main meal I did not eat- this spoilt our last night & I felt that I had been overcharged.
Friendly staff; good breakfast A hair-dryer would have been useful!
Beakfast was fine, thank you The room was not very clean. Shower was not adequate No little extras like toiletries although clean towels daily was welcomed
Nothingg really stands out Nothing stands out
Easy to find - friendly staff We couldn't use the bar as the whole place was booked for a private function when we arrived
the comfortable room - we were attending a wedding, so did not discover the full facilities, as we were meeting up with Family on Sunday morning
general condition was run down bar/eating area better. Room was very shabby and not 100% clean nut shells on floor next to bed and under it giant dust bunnies!! No at all like pictured. If I could have I would have gone somewhere else to stay.
It has Character, staff helpful and serves very good food Some areas getting tired and in need of some serious makeover and maintenance. The line between quaint and needing attention can be a fine one in a character hotel with a very old building but some items have passed that line.
the room overlooked the carpark, no other veiw noticeable
the communal areas the bedroom was poorly finished- also address did not include village so real trouble finding it
Very pleasant overnight stay. Very olde worlde!
Easy parking, comfortable bed clean room Prices of the meals are a bit high, also not always hot
Too bad the price did not include breakfast!
nice and warm in the room, one night it was very noisy in the corridor..
when i left the quality of the room wasn't to my liking and i didn't find the staff very friendly or helpful
The cooked breakfast was the worst quality I have ever experienced and I'm not a complainer! Camponile better at Continental offering
we were having a drink in the bar and was told at midnight that we had to leave as the bar was being shut up.....we hadn't even finished our drinks!!!!!
was a great location by bluewater, clean and good value for money
friendly staff, willing to help, close to amenities
Warm rooms, friendly staff It's a little out of the way, but this is reflected in the price, so is understandable.
Efficient systems. Overall excellent value for money. Clean, all my needs were met. Staff level of English especially in the restaurant is not adequate. The bar area is too smoky to eat a bar snack and therefore I was forced into the restaurant. (Better air circulation and filtering?). Requirement to pay cash for dinner might be a ptoblem sometimes. Coffeee machine at breakfast not working
Courteous and efficient staff despite the Hotel being very busy the evening i arrived. Though the room was bijioux it contained everything required for an over night stay. Lovely view of the gardens. Both The evening meal & breakfast were excellent.
Comfort and the feel of luxuriousness. Many great details. Difficult to find parking.
We came down for my daughers's 21st Birthday. She had always wanted to visit Hever Castle and as it was a special occasion I wanted to book us into somewhere a little special. We loved the restaurant and food and the decor. Sadly we weren't able to stay for very long, but would definitely recommend it
We have stayed at several Hotel Du Vin's throughtout the country because of the ambience and the boutique nature. We enjoyed our stay immensley but would only comment that for £145 a night (4 nights stay)that breakfast would be included.
Nice ambience & good food Room was musty and pokey - shower did not drain.I rang reception and the bistro for 5 mins each to order room service - at 9:30pm and no-one picked up
