Excellent 10.0
Pros: We got what we had expected/booked and were happy about it. Good value for money. I can recommend the hotel! Central location in the town with good restaurant - we did not have breakfast but dinner. There are limited options for eating in the city so the restaurant was really great for us.
Cons: The floor was cold
Excellent 10.0
Pros: pretty and cozy. Tea was served with nice explanation in the evening. I could feel sensitive touching to make rooms beautiful. Enjoyed my staying
Good 7.0
Pros: - Welcoming staff. We received a lot of tips and useful information about Wuyi Mountain park. It is possible to buy entrance tickets there. They also arranged a transfer from and to Wuyi North station. - Great view from room. - 15 minute walk to Wuyi Palace bus station from where you can get to different places in the park.
Cons: - Room could be cleaner, there were some hair on the ground and on the bed. - Staff that serves breakfast could be informed about not spitting while European guests are eating. I understand there are certain customs in China but it was quite disgusting.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Like the deco, location, friendly staff.
Cons: Some rooms with no window.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: The room has tea set and equipped with heater.
Cons: My room is at the back of building and next to washing machine room. It is quite noisy. The television is on demand. It is difficult to operate for foreigner.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: The staff were very helpful in buying the tickets and arranging for transport to the railway station. Great location for food. Cosy ambience.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Comfortable, clean room w/private deck and soak tub. Great location to walk to the Da Hong Pao Performance. It takes about 15 minutes.
Cons: Hotel told us no bicycles for rent nearby although the map clearly indicated cycling trails. We actually did find some bicycles parked for rent w/Alipay after walking about 15 minutes on the trail.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: I liked the ownership and management of the hostel. The owner is a very helpful and reliable person. I told him what I wanted to do and made sure that I was able to carry out my sightseeing activities, especially with the logistics of finding a driver/taxi, even at 7:00 in the morning when I needed a taxi to go back to my home in China. There's nothing like a reliable person. The hostel is also located in a little community with great places to eat and for much less than at the Ancient Songjie Street. Finally, the room was spacious and the bed comfortable. Thanks for a lovely stay!
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Super friendly and helpful staff (though they don't speak much english), good price.
Cons: Beds are a bit stiff
Good 7.5
Pros: The manager was very helpful and kind. He helped with all routes and even treat us tea. A great stay if you are spending most of your time in the mountains.
Cons: It's a bit difficult to find as usual for yha hostels. All shared bathroom even if you get a double room. No breakfast options.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: The property manager/owner was fantastic. Very kind in helping to book the theatre show and answering any questions I had. He offered tea and snacks for guests each evening.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Host/manager was incredibly friendly and although didn’t speak English was very helpful and gave us all the info we needed. In the evening we sat with him and he brought us free snacks and gave us local tea to take home. The dog is lovely and we played guitar and hand drums together which was one of my favourite evenings of my trip. The room was very good value for money and bathroom was regularly clean. Very nice restaurant to eat over the road. Beers and water in the hostel very cheap. We had an amazing stay thanks mainly to the hospitality of the manager, thank you!
Cons: Slightly out the way but town easily accessible by cheap bus.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: The staff were extremely polite and helpful, they took their time to give us advice and have tea with us, the English speaking guy from China even walked us to the shop to help us communicate with the shopkeeper.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Very relaxing and warm atmosphere with hostel guests and friendly neighbours. The hostel owner is the best!!!! He gives the best recommendations. Recommend this place for solo travellers.
Cons: Airplane noises from time to time are quite loud but this is only a minor issue.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: The staff made extra efforts to make my stay comfortable and my visit to the scenic area fantastic. Translation software on the host's mobile phone made up for lack of English.
Cons: The directions they sent me explaining how to find the hostel were incorrect at a couple of crucial turns.
Good 7.5
Pros: The staff were amazing and helpful and kind. Like a father, guiding his offspring. Very reliable. Let us try the tea and welcomed us. Told step to step guides on suggested routes and intineries. Lovely dog that kept to itself, didn't jump on people.
Cons: Unfortunately the heater didn't work. I was cold. Nonetheless, we booked a private room and ended up in a dorm, which meant I could layer and use all the blankets to get warm. In the morning I didn't want to get out of bed because it was nice and toasty. In the beginning I was so cold, that I didn't shower and changed under the blankets. I tried to borrow a hair dryer at one point to warm up my toes, when I couldn't feel them. Private room, just means a dormitory to yourself. Just get a dormitory. No toilet paper.

Excellent 9.2
Pros: We would definitely recommend his hostel. Upon arrival, Joy, the host, gave us a little tea ceremony with snacks and a lot of stories. She helped us plan our routes through the park (the hostel is 10 minutes away by bus from both the main entrances) and gave us tips on where to eat. Very helpful and welcoming! The rooms are very clean and spacious. All in all a very good hostel with an even better host!
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Very attentive and good staff. Very helpful
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The owner is from a family of tea producers. I highly recommend this hotel for travelers interested in tea. There is a tea table in the lobby, and you will be invited to drink tea and visit a tea factory. Just how much there is to learn you have to discover your self.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: All thanks to Joy, the lovely hostess who made my time at Zaijia Guesthouse one of my best holiday places ever. Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and kind, she went out of her way to make my stay "a home from home." Plus she speaks English which made everything so easy and convenient for me as a foreigner visiting Wuyishan. She loves taking care of her guests and it showed in every way she helped me and everything she recommended esp about the tea culture and great attractions.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Very friendly staff - Joy picked us up from the bus station, gave us great advice on where to go and what to eat.

Excellent 9.0
Pros: Good and convenient location in the middle of the resort area. Very helpful staff. Room is clean enough.
Cons: A few things are a bit aging and need some maintenance work, nothing major though.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: good hostel for international tourists:)
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Name says hostel, but the private rooms are some of the better I've stayed in. Very roomy, plenty of room to unpack bags. Hostel has a refrigerator where you can keep your drinks and yogurt, etc. Bed firm, but not Chinese rock. Clean, always had hot water. Separate shower stall. A/C worked fine. Hotel arranged show tickets, Full disclosure: my travel partner is a Chinese national, so language not a problem. Front desk VERY, VERY helpful, where to go, how to go. Restaurants close. An excellent one for breakfast: walk back to main street from hotel, turn right; at the corner, there is a "fast-Chinese-food" restaurant where you can get breakfast before going to park. Further up street in this direction, a number of other restaurants. One, several blocks up, on the opposite side, with dishes/food displayed in window, excellent. Supermarket on opposite side of street, after turning right on main street (besides street level, has a downstairs level). To reach hotel from Wiyushan north (high speed) train station: at bus stop at station, K-1 bus goes into town. After several "suburb" stops, once in the main town, is the bus stop you want. Don't have name, but a lot of people get off there. If you pass the KFC on your right, you've gone too far; it's the stop just before the KFC. From the bus stop, walk in the same direction as you were traveling, past a LARGE street intersection, and the hotel will be on your right down a short alley. There is a sign on top of the building at the main street/alley intersection. It's the first alley after the Bank of China. Hostel is at end of alley up a short flight of steps. To reach park from hotel, at the main street, cross the street, turn left (back towards the train station) and it's the first bus stop you reach. Buses 6 or 7 will stop at the park entrance. Fare is 1 RMB.
Cons: Be advised, no elevator. Has wi-fi, but would not support my VPN (usual cause, slow speed, but it could have been blocked).
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Very clean, good location: buses Veryto/from train station, airport and the Wuyi Mount are within a a minute walk. A lot of Chinese food selections nearby, a kfc also near to it. Been in the 渡假村center, it is very quiet. Last but importantly staffs are supper nice, very helpful though I don’t know if they could speak English.
Cons: No.
Good 7.1
Pros: Bus to the scenic area (to both North and South entrance) leaves basically in front of the Hostel.
Cons: You need to walk through a short dirty street to get to the Hostel Staff speaks no English (fine for me, but this might be an issue for other travelers)
Excellent 8.8
Pros: The staffs were super nice especially the two ladies at the front desk the day I checked in.
Cons: The mountains are not in a walking distance, but you can take buses for like a dollar. It’s not a big problem.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: modern, more like a Hotel than a hostel, the staff was really helpful although they almost couldn‘t speak englisch
Cons: Nothing because of the wrong adress im Booking.com it was for our taxi driver Hard to find
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Staff in hostel very fiendly.
Cons: Hotel location according Booking link to Du- maps, was not correct.

Good 7.0
Pros: The owner/manager was the highlight of the trip! He was very responsive and helpful, from arranging transportation from the train station to putting in us in touch with someone to rent bikes. When our AC broke, he immediately found a handyman to come fix it. For breakfast, he walked with us to his favorite fried dumpling shop. He looked like someone who clearly enjoyed his work and life, and brought a smile to our faces whenever we saw him. The showers were also fantastic, good water pressure and hot water always available. Good location by a pedestrian street and river, and walking distance (10-15 minutes) to the scenic area.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Clean, simple, comfortable style; the idea of treating clients
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Great location.
Cons: I strongly suggest a renovation, especially the bathroom.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Good location. Convenient public transportation. Many restaurants. Useful small gifts. Free hot Soup for supper. Helpful and friendly stuff. Good hot shower and air-conditioning. Electric kettle is available in the room.
Cons: The bathroom floor needs a good scrub. The bathroom has glass partition and door. No privacy.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The guest house provides an area map, tea sample and shoes's water proof plastic cover (for bamboo rafting). Helpful and friendly staff. Spacious room. Quiet room. Two minutes walk to the riverside and pedestrian street. Bus 9 to WuyiShan is just across the street. Bus stop for Bus K1 to the Wuyishan East Train Station is about 10 to 15 minutes walk from the guest house. Many restaurants nearby. Free hot soup is available at around 8:00PM.
Cons: The bathroom floor doesn't look clean. Bathroom has glass wall and door.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Good location and service. The staff was helpful giving information and helped us to purchase tickets at discount price. Lots of eatery nearby.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: One of the most comfortable beds away from home. Super friendly hosts who were always willing to help!

Excellent 9.0
Pros: The staff is very friendly and helpful. They give you a lot of advice about the mountain and its surroundings. The ones who don't speak English will still try to communicate with you through a translating app, and are very patient. There is one worker who can speak English pretty well, and she gives out excellent advice about the mountian routes. The hostel is also located closely to the mountains, around a 15 minute walk.
Cons: The rooms could be a bit cleaner. I went there out of season, so the rooms were a bit dirty. There's also a chicken coop next to the rooms, so every so often one of the hens would make a lot of sound during the night. I could still rest easily in the rooms, but for people who are sensitive to sudden loud noises it may be uncomfortable.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great room. Staff so lovely and helpful. Thank you for the detailed information about where to hike, which buses to catch, where to eat and helping to arrange special deal tickets for us. Great atmosphere and lovely to sit and have tea in the evenings. Free washing. Staying here really made our trip to Wuyishan and we wish we could have stayed longer.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The location one the hostel is perfect and really quiet! Also only takes 10 minutes walk to join a small city full of restaurant.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Great location, big rooms, big beds and staff are friendly - They let us keep our bags at the hostel the next day while we went up the mountain again for another hike before heading back to Shanghai
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Location is good, not far to the mountains and center of the city. Stuff are very nice and helpful.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything convenient and easy.
Cons: Toilette paper container
Excellent 9.2
Pros: I enjoyed the staff. I went there to learn about Chinese tea and they were very knowledgeable about tea. They gave me advice about places to go. Every evening we went swimming in the local river and it was awesome. It is a relaxing slow paced environment. The people were very kind. The daughter spoke good English. They are drinking tea all the time and they are always willing to share some tea with you.
Cons: The owner doesn't really speak English, but if you speak Chinese or use a translating app he is more than happy to help.
Good 7.9
Pros: Lovely, peaceful atmosphere in a quaint and cute hostel, I met some very nice people here. So much nicer than the big gaudy hotels on the other side of town. Wendy who works here speaks English and was super helpful with everything from taxis to local recommendations to writing things down in Chinese characters for me. Location is very convenient for Wuyishan Scenic Area but make sure you have a maps app that works in China! Research how to get to the hostel by public transport if you want to save money, otherwise you will get ripped off by the local taxi drivers. Free tea is available all the time, massive bonus!
Cons: At the time I booked, it said there was a meal plan on booking.com available at a small extra charge but this is inaccurrate; note that there is not even breakfast available at the hostel. No big deal though as there are plenty of restaurants and street food nearby. Similarly just to note that the hostel doesn't actually provide an airport shuttle (you should be able to get a taxi for 20 CNY if you can haggle in Mandarin, but as I can't I got ripped off :-) ). I stayed in a private single room; it was clean, a good size and comes with a kettle and air con, but could do with a lick of paint and maybe some more hooks in the bathroom. The mattress is of the hard Asian variety; I was still able to sleep well but just a point to note if, like me, you don't find them too comfy.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: The location was excellent; close to the Wuyi Temple and hiking trails. The staff was extremely informative and friendly! Wendy gave us a lot of great advice on how to get to the parks entrance/get tickets/what to see etc. They also provided delicious tea and nice conversation :)
Good 6.0
Pros: location, its very close to the entrance of the Wuyi Palace
Cons: Nothing to eat

Pros: The staff were extremely helpful. They helped us arrange literally whatever we needed and we couldn't have asked for better service. The hotel was very well kept, spacious, clean and peaceful.
Cons: There was no fridge in the hotel room. Which after long days of hiking it would have been really nice to have some cold drinks back at the hotel.
