It's most probably the best place to stay when visiting Taroko National Park. If you're a nature lover, go for it! We loved the location and, of course, the private beach. The property is very modest, but so calm, peaceful, and quiet. Certainly don't expect any luxury, but what we appreciated most is that Mr. Wong, the owner of the property, built the whole place on his own, including the furnishings, and in a very stylish way - kudos to his designer skills! Breakfasts were simply awesome, same as the dinner we had first night. We had 2 vegetarians in a group of 6, and Mr. Wong prepared so many delicious meat-free meals. Also, we knew from previous reviews that Mr. Wong doesn't speak English, we were prepared for that - so was Mr. Wong, and after we came, he greeted us through a mobile translator in our native language - pretty cool :)! The 7-11 which is close to the homestay is quite convenient, too.
Unfortunately, what you can't relly prevent in such a location are the mosquitos. Don't forget to buy an insect repellent - they have couple of them for a reasonable price in the 7-11 nearby.

Towels for the shower please! Because of the remote location we ate at the restaurant at the hotel a few times. The food was ok but some more local options would have been great.

Very basic facilities. Not clean. Food just okay. Saturday night have live band ,but need to charge extra money for it , owner didn’t let us know before.

We loved the welcome, the slightly hippy air to the place. The owner was wonderful with our young children and breakfast on the beach was quite fantastic.
The facilities are simple but quite adequate.

Amazing experience with a very nice staff even if they don't speak English. It is a bed and breakfast though so no extra fancy comfort, but the breakfast on the beach was amazing. Be warned that swimming isn't allowed in Hualien, as the waves are way too strong.
