The location was excellent and the staff were really nice
We had no complaints and would love to stay again
Excellent staff, top quality service in a beautiful historic house. The location could not be more perfect, a couple of hundred yards walk to the core of York city centre but in a secluded lane tucked behind york minister so very quiet and peaceful. Tastefully furnished, modern contemporary whilst respecting the period building. A selection of public rooms to relax in which to have a drink, take their excellent afternoon tea or just sit. The evening tasting menu was amazing, proper fine dining and service and a bargain compared to London prices.
Suggestions would be two easy chairs in the double bedroom, biscuits with the tea tray
Fantastic breakfast and great location
The scones on arrival were a great touch
The property was very old and has some fantastic history located in the centre of York, very comfortable, the best thing about the hotel was 100% the staff, unbelievable how attentive they were. Would recommend to anyone. The blind tasting menu was unreal loved it, such an amazing experience. Not one bad thing to say about the pace. 5* from me.
Everything was 100% perfect
